Karen, I just know that is what I would be trying to do if I was in your situation! ;) "Where there is a will, there IS A WAY!":inlove::inlove:

It did, thank you Karen. :) A good friend of mine would call it ZEN. Thanks for the peace.
I am very happy that you found a solution that gives you peace. :)

I hope that they do accept your help and advice, so that maybe those reindeer have a chance of becoming healthy.

Love the video of the happy reindeer! :) Very proud of you for offering your expertise to help the other owner search for ways to help his reindeer. If they improve and the problems are solved, you may indeed find yourself with new sweeties to love!

For all fans of my "Mighty Mouse" Freya, she has started to grow her HUGE antlers. Guessing they will just be spikes again this year BUT even HUGER (excuse the grammar) than last year. :)

One relaxed little one. Love her to bits (I nickname her Button as she is as cute as a button), goodness knows where the expression comes from. Anyone know?

Loved the video of the herd members who had jumping beans for breakfast. And Freya looks so relaxed, it makes me want to snuggle up and relax with her.

I hope that it's warmer with you that it is here atm really windy, with sleet and hail stones. Not nice to be out in at all.

BLZ are you in UK? We have scattered snow and hail too - nothing to settle though but it's gone back to chilly. :(

And hints to calving, Mischa & Twiggy's udder - not saying who is who for all who are guessing calving dates... but I'm starting to see all 4 teats... :) Excited!!![IMG]

Great picture of little Freya relaxing. I am sure that her antlers are going to be 'huge' this year!

Just had the best response from skinny reindeer owners... Rather than taking offence, they have finally admitted that they are concerned, didn't know where to turn to for help & when I played my trump card as to what had happened their two "missing" reindeer that I found on a Google search.. they said they'll look out Post Mortem (necropsy) reports. Looks as if they'll want help not just cash! :). They are busy at the moment with alpaca shearing business but they are coming to see my lot as soon as they can & I said I need to visit theirs - nothing hidden to find out the cause of weight issues... Hopefully we'll get them round. :)

EDIT just had this update from Ythanbank of Thor and Loki... who wouldn't laugh at Loki's moves... Make a dressage horse of him yet! ;)

Well Karen, time will tell weather they are just all talk or not! I hope they really do know those reindeer need help!
As for Loki just call him Prancer! Just too cute and they both look wonderful!:inlove:

Glad for the good response, and wishing the best for the reindeer.

Loki was so much fun to watch! Thanks for sharing!

Good news about scary reindeer owners being open to help. Maybe you should put them in hazmat suits, if they visit, so they don't spread anything to your lovely and healthy herd. (just kidding...well partially) :p

Loki has stupendous dance moves!!!:D Super cute!!!! All your herd have so much personality!!!:inlove: I have been wondering...if and when the babies are born, will you keep any of the boys this year? If not, are they promised to anyone?

Karen - yes but I am nearer to Loki and Thor than to your herd. I am up near Edinburgh.

IF what you said before about reindeer holding their tails erect when happy, it looks like Loki and Thor are ecstatic <sp >

BTW I think the bottom set of udders has swallowed a beach ball she is so round.

Thor & Loki's owners have ordered 2 more from me - needless to say I am delighted as they are very well looked after and much loved. :) Their previous reindeer are of unknown age as they purchased them as adults but at least 8 years so they need some younger ones and for some reason they love the babies I produce... :) We are hoping that Elsa has a bull calf, if so he will be one of the two as they used to own Elsa.
Edit, also Brooke - the boots of the other owners' will be going in a strong disinfectant as will mine when I visit them!

Always great to see how the boys are doing. They look like they feel very safe and happy. :) What a blessing to have found Ythanbank. :inlove:

For anyone who wants some relaxing viewing. At the moment there is a live stream video of migrating reindeer in Norway (presume it is only on in daylight hours, Norway) taken by drones and I believe one reindeer has a head cam. Music and songs are native Sami songs I believe. :)

How would you like to look after all those reindeer!!. I am glad that those reindeer owners have admitted they need help. Judging by their website they certainly know how to look after their Alpacas, winning prizes etc. It is just so sad they have obviously not taken the trouble to find out how to look after reindeer properly. Are they far from you?

How did you find their website... I purposely thought I hadn't shared it... or did I??? I'm a techno numpty... They aren't very far away I could easily go any day but they are busy with Alpaca business at the moment... think this is part of the problem.. :( I'm just waiting for a call and them I'm on it.... Providing I haven't got one of my girls on close watch.... (4 days, I think till close watch????) :) :) Babies!!!
