    I have been learning little by little BUT I need some help understanding a couple of buffs and how they work and what they actually do.
    In the Flower Shoppe there are set of wedding buffs:
    Boutonniere = 40 Florist Points,
    Flower Pot = 100 Florist Points,
    Bouquet = 200 Florist Points,
    and
    Arrangement = 360 Florist Points.

    Also, in the Alchemist Shop, there are similar items:
    Writtings = 40 Alchemist Points
    Paper = 100 Alchemist Points
    Scroll = 200 Alchemist Points
    and
    Scroll Collection = 360 Alchemist Points

    What are we to do with these items? Are they to be used as the 5 daily allowed donatable items to improve your skill and level up? Do we just activate them? I'm scared to click on them for fear of wasting them.
    Sometimes when I donation 5 items the advancement bar doesn't seem to move at all.
    How are we to know what items are the best to donate?
    Is the answer going to have anything to do with (market price ÷ exchange value) that Zero was talking to me about on another thread?
    Geeeeesss so much to learn:p

    Thank you for any light you can shine in this for me.

    if you use those items, you will get the experience points. Using an item doesn't count as one of the daily consumption, that is the beauty of them. I venture seldom into the market but if you want me to confuse matter with market price, you could calculate the CC for every exp you get and see if which is the better buy. :p

    @Moraine Thanks for the double help ;)
    Setting me right with my trade and the market.

    Cool so I just use them like I do and EP buff, awesome I can also eat 5 items per day.
    Any idea how to know what are the best items to eat?

    I am generally clueless, so I can only offer you the dummy version: The more exp the item offers the better it is to use to level up :D

    This link provides you an overview of the experience points you get from each item: https://board-en.farmerama.com/index.php?threads/faq-artisans-village-products.2402/

    You would get the same xp from consuming as you would from making (unless I remembered that completely wrong). When crafting you also would get exp when making the base item, but only the exp from the finished item when consuming it.

    If you want to buy, you would need to work out the amount of CC per EXP (Price : EXP = the amount of CC you need to pay for each EXP), and buy what the cheapest. I ofc assume all items are of similar quality and use :p

    From my struggle to level up the confectionary I ended up with too much egg nog. I was fed up by making and eating to reach the CAC level, so I went crazy in the market. I still have 43 egg nog gathering dust -.-. I'm to cheap and forgetful to use them, and too lazy to resell them. They tend to have a low roll over rate in the market (= takes ages before people buy), but clever people would have turned that into a money spinner I'm sure.

    For my florist I make wedding boutonniere and use those and the odd sunflower thingies on L1. Pots require paint, and that is for me a valuable item not to be wasted on the leveling up.

    And just a reminder, there are runes that gives you an exp boost. Slightly on the expensive side, but it does shorten the pain - ehm I mean time to level up

    Points - Value - Level
    is what I'm seeing ... something to go on...
    Level 1
    Pumpkin Jam

    Points - Value - Level

    20 - 5410 - 46 (best value this level)
    One plus crop / plot
    4 hrs
    every item in this level has points 20 except Basic Jelly (the levels base ingredient)
    all level 40 except said PJ.
    So does this mean I received 20 points for making it and get will get 5410 in value points from consuming it?

    Level 2 (going no farther don't worry hehe just another question)
    base ingredient 25 points, all other recipes are 50 points, all level 40 except Obatza (the one I want to question)
    Obatza

    Points - Value - Level
    50 - 5140 - 65

    + 10% droprate increase (sugar)
    6 hrs

    Beady Eye Jelly
    Points - Value - Level
    50 - 4023 - 40

    + 50% droprate increase (sugar)
    24 hrs
    This isn't really a question as it is an observation.
    If I were to want to use a buff I would go for Beady Eye. It's a higher % rate and it last longer. But for whatever reason Obatza has a higher value.? and a higher value the Pink Jelly??? WOW really, that's 1/2 off breeding time.

    Level 3 (sighhh I know what I said but I didn't promise ;) )
    Others have mentioned consuming Eggnog. Never actually telling me why just recommending it. And you, yourself said you ended up with way to much Eggnog. So what is the deal with eggnog?

    Eggnog
    Points - Value - Level
    100 - 5140 - 40

    But
    Lavender
    Points - Value - Level
    125 - 5140 - 50

    then you have
    Raspberry Langos
    Points - Value - Level
    100 - 13910 - 49

    Assuming your making not buying - that's another ballgame altogether :p
    Why not use Lavender over Eggnog? It has better Points
    or
    Why not use Raspberry over either one? Its Points are the same as Eggnog but the Value is better by 8,870.

    -.- oh my goodness sooooo much its enough to make you go mad
    o_O... ...:pxD

    ========================================
    After learning this my other farm ate a few sheets of paper and leveled up in the Alchemist Lab. Next level I can make scrolls. Hope there old enough to be made out of animal skins. I'll just pretend I'm eating jerky :D

    It's not nearly as complicated as you're making it out to be. :p

    Let me break down the numbers for you (in reverse order).

    Level

    Refers to the level at which you can start producing a certain craft.

    If you look at the Artisan's Village Products FAQ, most Confectionery, Bakery, and Florist products say level 40 because you need to reach level 40 before gaining access to the Artisan's Village, at which point the game will ask you to choose 1 of 3 trades.

    Similarly, most Spa and Alchemist products say level 70 because the Spa and Alchemist trades can only be unlocked through the Tree of Wisdom after reaching level 70.

    Some products, however, have higher level requirements because they need a specific ingredient that players below a certain level won't have access to. For example, you need to be at least level 46 to make pumpkin jam because the recipe asks for pumpkins - a crop that only becomes available after reaching level 46.

    Value

    Refers to the Exchange Value of each craft - an arbitrary value assigned to each item by the developers.

    You can pretty much ignore this number since it has no impact whatsoever when it comes to leveling up your trade.

    Points

    Refers to the number of points you get for either making a craft or using it to improve your skills and level up your trade. This is the number you should be focusing on.

    Let's use pumpkin jam again as an example.

    First, you need to make 1 basic jelly. That will give you 10 points.

    Then you use the basic jelly to make your pumpkin jam. That's another 20 points.

    Total: 10 + 20 = 30 points

    Now, if you were to use that pumpkin jam to level up your Confectionery, you would get another 20 points.

    Total: 10 + 20 + 20 = 50 points

    But if you chose instead to eat that pumpkin jam and use it as a buff, you would get +1 crop/plot for 4 hours but 0 additional points.

    Total: 10 + 20 + 0 = 30 points

    **********

    As for your last question, I think the eggnog recommendation only makes sense if you're buying them from the market, not making them yourself.

    People generally recommend using eggnog to level up your Confectionery because it's cheaper than most products on the market while still giving a reasonable amount of points, which is important since you can only use 5 products a day to learn your trade.

    LOL that is about the only thing that did make any sense to me xD

    xDxD
    you don't know me sometimes I can be densexD:p
    Thanks for the breakdown:inlove: now that I know the value number means NOTHING and can be discarded, that helps ;) BUT if we were to go to market with this product, to buy or sell, we would need the Value?
    Products personal level? Dang I never even thought about the ingredient making the level change...o_Odaaa

    I was thinking something like that. That is why I specified making :)
    I got it now:D:D that was easy!
    but I don't think the whole market thing is going to be that easy. -.-:p

    @Moraine and @zerodegrees
    THANK YOU!!!:inlove:8)

    EV isn't as important for crafting products as it is for other farm goods because they've never been called for in mass donations, although there's always a chance it could happen in the future. It can be useful for advanced players who know how to play the market and have millions of CC to play around with, but you don't need to worry about it if you're just buying/selling a few crafting products here and there.

    In fact, if you look in your Barn, you will notice that the EV of most crafting products aren't even visible in game; only basic items are shown with their EV under Trade Products, while the finished products only appear in the Pantry (where you can't see their EV).

    When you go to the market to buy or sell crafting products, don't worry about the EV and just focus on two things:
    1. market value of the item
    2. number of trade points per item
    You'll also want to consider the cost of ingredients if you're trying to decide between making a product yourself or buying it from the market.

    Yes, I know you specified making, but I didn't understand why you were asking about making eggnog when your initial question was about buying eggnog. ;):p

    LOL Because I feel the need to know as much as I can :D and seeing that I am not a well-to-do farmer I really need to cut cost where I can. Also, I need to know about the market and it's working too;).
    I want to thank you for all your help personally and for what you do around the form8)

    Just out of curiosity and as a fellow farmer that struggle on the long path to level up those artisan workshops, what are you aiming to level up and to what level ? And in what order ?
    I very slowly and causally work on : Bakery & florist. Personally I figured I better get those up to a desired level (which I assume is L4) before opening more of them. The confectionery is already at CAC level. Which I knew was the most important for me.

    Morning Moraine :D
    Hummm... that's a loaded question hahaha
    Of course, I want to be able to make my own CAC can already make PJ.
    But really I just want knowledge:music: and clarity of how things work. Without that, one has no idea where to start and they go poking around in the dark. So far with yours and zero's help, I feel I have a handle on the Trades.
    I, like many here, have more than one farm. Each of them doing/trying something different.

    This farm, Grove opened the Florist shop.
    I have lots of turkey and paint factories and was blessed with a wire tree or two. I see as I level up I'll be needing other things as well. Now that I have a better idea as to how to level up, I am confident things will be going better for me all around, for all my shops. ;)
    Right here, right now, I set at about 1/2 way on Level 2. These are the thing I want to product most in my Florist Shoppe...
    Level 1. Spring Boutonniere- +1 crop Sunflowers (important need lots of sunflowers here) (SPA - source of life - -6% time of all flowers)
    Level 2. Valentine's Pot- -10% time on Stables
    Level 3. Church Boquet- -10% time on workshops & Terror Boquet- -20% time on MM crops
    Level 4. White Innocence- enhances SG by 10%
    Level 5. Royal Wreath- Bouns 10,000 EP & Winter Wreath- +50% on Sunflowers {although, I'm not really sure what the 50% is? Is it crops, EPs or time off? }
    These are my Florist Goals:D

    In the florist we seem to be similar, I'm 6699 of 9000 in Level 2. Growing orchids and use those to level up. Every time I make one I get 10 (base) + 20 (wedding boutonnière) and consume it 40= 70 trade points. Slowly and steadily :music:

    Evening zero, Thanks for answering BUT...
    So I'm still a bit confused o_O On my original question I got the information from the original form concerning the trades it simply stated +50% on sunflowers for 10 hrs. Then you answered me. 50% more EPs. After that, I went to the market and bought one. I'm getting ready to grow lots of stock flowers. Anyway, when in the pantry and I rest on the Winter Wreath it states... more Tropical EPs from your field crop plant: Sunflower bonus: 50% time: 10hr. :eek: So now I guess I just use it and find out what one it is TEP or EP. ?? SHM :p I'll get back when I find out. Give me a day or two working on the event for a min. ;)

    Yeah, I'm not sure why the in-game description says Tropical EP but I'm pretty sure it's wrong. The German and Spanish FAQs both say "+50% EP for sunflowers - 10 h".

    Also, sunflower is a mainland crop, and you only get TEP from harvesting crops on the island (Bahamarama plantation and rainforest). So it's literally impossible to get TEP from sunflowers...

    I'm really new to this whole artisan village thing.

    So long story short, I want to start making Carrot Apple Chutney on my own. But currently I have unlocked bakery that doesn't produce CAC. Is there anyway to unlock confectionery without spending real money and how do I unlock CAC recipe? Heads up, you gotta explain like this is my first time venturing artisan village.

    You can buy the 2nd artisan craft in the Renzo shop. But the cac recipe, I think you would need to buy. It's normally is part of the sale, so if you can save up 50BB you can get it. There are quest that offers BB as reward, and there is the cinema if that works where you live.

    I have the BB. But 1250 chips for Renzo shop is insane. Currently I have 374 chips and 116 tickets. So i guess next renzo fair I gotta play like a machine.

    Is there really no other way to unlock second trade? And how can I level up till diamond 4. I think that's when we can make CAC if I'm not wrong

    There are only 2 ways to open a 2nd trade:
    1. Renzo chips
    2. Real money. I can't remember if it is $1.99 or $2.49 but it isn't more than that.

    The CAC recipe is a level 4 recipe and cannot be purchased until you reach level 4. Cost is 199 BB or 100 BB if you wait for the half price shop sale.

    Leveling up:
    1. Crafting your own items
    2. Consuming 5 products a day

    Many products are cheaper in the market than crafting and you'll need to compare your market prices to see which one gives the best trade points/CC.

    Good luck!
