Carnival Queen - Strategy Thread

I still need 328 paper strips and 1 1/2 rounds of event crops to grow. Put 256 Amaranth Flour to mill. And will put them to mill paper mache and it is time to sleep another one hour. Carnations for overnight crops.

 

The June Preview Calendar shows this event ending on Friday, June 2nd. Is this a typo? I thought we had until the 4th of June according to the FAQ. My drops have not been great and work is going to be trying at best.

 

It has to be a typo. See the in game Event timer, at the time of this post it shows the Queen will be around for another 113 hrs.
That's about 4.5 days from now -> june 4

I need to mill another 40 Papier Mache to finish the float decorations. That's another 280 drops.. and I'm running very very very low on SG.. ugh!

Plus according to planner there is an event running from 1st-10th, hopefully I will have crops for carnival done and drops will come during that event.

Ive got 12 parts of float to complete overall before the queen throws her goods at me

 

A lightbulb on top of my head flashed! Suddenly I remembered I saved up some Farm Coins to be able to buy the big PF package when the shop refreshes at the new month (soon enough!). So I checked the Shop-O-Rama and found out there's SG for grab in there too. Knowing the Queen will be generous on FC I decided to buy that SG package with my FC.
So now I'm able to do a few more rounds with refined carnations on 1x2 fields and gather those paper drops a bit faster. Yay me!

The Parent Day Event is held at the construction area on the map. The crops and drops needed for that event can only be grown and gathered on that particular field. See the Grapevine for more juicy rumours about it. It being seperated also means it won't give you the much needed drops for the current event. Snif.

I still need to mill 78 mache (546 drops) But I think I am on track. Just a couple more fields of crops and those are out of the way Then it will be longer crops and more pens. I did send some baskets as gifts but think I will switch it back to paper for a couple of days. Completed the Left Side and the first 3 steps of the Right side

Gah! My cable went out earlier this morning - just before I was due to harvest, of course - and finally came back a few minutes ago. I'm now behind almost 3 harvests of amaranth. I guess I should've listened to that little voice in my head that said maybe I should plant something with a longer grow time instead of blowing it off.

I wonder if we have any FAQ's for that event if its starting tomorrow

back on this event I require another 568 paper strips.....gulps!!! If we were given information earlier for event would have required much less

 

I have Grown all of the Event Crops and Milled Everything needed to unlock the Lovely Monkey Queen. I did nuking of refined carnations to get the remaining drops. As i did not had a good start to this event to get a head start on Drops...

As i need to put out All Stable Pens that i have, which i Hope gives the Best Amount of Candy Baskets. So I can reap these Critters as soon and often can i can. As I will make a log to which ones gives Candy Baskets. It would be good idea to which Coloured or Rare Pens gives Candy Baskets, so we can use these to get as Many Candy Baskets as we can.

I will use my Cloud Row and Buffs to speed up reaping Stables Pens until this event ends. But the only thing to speed these by another 50% is using Power Feeds.

Do not send me any Paper Strips as i not longer need any more. But by all means send Candy Baskets to all farmers you like to Gift too

Make the most of this Event. Enjoy all those lovely prizes from Monkey Queen. Especially those who miss this event last time...

 

I have started catching.....but tired after playing 43 mini games. So a break. I did FSQs and got around 200 SGs and finished the crop & drop part. Now I got back those 200 SGs back from the monkey queen, our cousin - generous queen.

 

Not liking the mini games think it is far toooo many steps in the amount of time given us for this event

Maybe going to have to put 2x2's back out with long crops in and nuked to get drops and hopefully can get back SG from generous queen

 

As of this morning I still need 550 drops but will put out refined roses on comfort fields with SG, WI and Fruit cake if push comes to shove. I will try and complete one third at a time as I know last time I ran out of time to collect stuff which does take forever (multiply by five farms!) I usually like to grow every thing before I start milling. I refuse to clear everything and have trees and pens out. Good news is that I have 86 baskets so far. Wondering if that is too many?

Event crops - done! Yay! Still need 364 paper strips, but just planted refined carnations and nuked them with SG so I'm hoping it won't take long. Looking forward to opening the Monkey Queen - she sounds generous Best of luck to all!
