Event Basics

• The goal is to return the cats and dogs to their homes.
• There are 4 different parts to this event: an individual portion and global portion for cats, and an individual portion and global portion for dogs.
• Start the event by clicking on the Cats! or Dogs! button in the event window to choose which animal you're going to help first. Once you've chosen a side, you need to complete all 8 levels in the individual progress bar for the chosen animal before moving on to the other animal, since it's not possible to go back and forth between the two.
• Fill the individual progress bar for cats or dogs by breeding the chosen animal to get the required drops (Cat Teasers for cats or Toy Bones for dogs) and delivering the required goods for steps 1-8.
• Any donations made toward the individual portion will also count toward the global portion for that same animal, but only those who have completed a certain number of steps in the individual portion will qualify for the global rewards.
  • If the community reaches the required amount of donations for step 1 of the global progress bar for cats, only those who have completed steps 1-5 of the individual progress bar for cats will receive the global rewards for step 1. Same goes for dogs.
  • If the community reaches the required amount of donations for step 2 of the global progress bar for cats, only those who have completed all 8 steps of the individual progress bar for cats will receive the global rewards for step 2. Same goes for dogs.
  • Keep in mind, however, that even though you only need to complete steps 1-5 of the individual progress bar to qualify for the global rewards in step 1, you still need the last giver from step 8 to have a functional cloud row. So if you want a cloud row that isn't greyed out, you will have to complete all 8 steps anyway.
• After completing the individual progress bar for the chosen animal, you can keep donating regular/breeding animals and drops to the global portion for that animal and receive EP based on amount donated and farm level (1 EP x Farm Level for every 480 CC in Barn Value donated), or you can switch sides and start working on the individual progress bar for the other animal.

Notes

• Global rewards will be booked after the event ends via a script.
• You must be at least level 30 to participate in the event.
• You will always get a Cat Teaser for each successful breeding of cats and a Toy Bone for each successful breeding of dogs, regardless of when you do the actual breeding. In other words, the animal you choose to help first has no bearing on what kind of drop you will get from your breedings. If you breed 50 sets of cats and 50 sets of dogs all at the same time, you will get 50 Cat Teasers and 50 Toy Bones
• The 3 givers from the individual progress bar are the only ones needed for the cloud row. The Royal Flush Cats and "Basset" Dogs from step 2 in the global progress bars for cats and dogs, respectively, are just extra givers.
• It's possible to get both cloud rows if you complete the individual progress bars for both animals and the community reaches the global target in step 1 for both animals. There is no actual competition between the two sides here, as long as we have enough people contributing to both sides.
• The amounts required in steps 1 and 2 of the global progress bars are separate, not cumulative. So it's 26,000,000,000 + 30,000,000,000 = 56,000,000,000 instead of 26,000,000,000 + 4,000,000,000 = 30,000,000,000.
• There is a short Baby Boom lasting only 8 hours at the beginning of the event but don't worry if you miss out, as there is usually another 2-day Baby Boom during the weekend. Those who are able to take advantage of the shorter one can make the most of it by loading up your Breeding Pen ahead of time and then harvesting as soon as the event starts.

200 powerfeed and nothing in return on individual rewards. Not sure on this event may use the baby boom event and coin rewards for my personal use and not do this event although stables and workshop upgrades are tempting. But no stars and no powerfeed another own goal from BP

Buuuut if the german forum are keen on cats.... what do you think guys, do I look cat-ish enough ? Meowww-whrof whops I'll practice on that

1. Donate regular cats/dogs only

Donation bar asks for 650,000 EV = 1,447 regular cats/dogs (1150 EV overpay due to steps)
Steps (50k, 80k, 120k, 150k, 250k): 112, 178, 267, 334, 556

For the individual task we need 50 drops = 50 breedings = 200 regular cats/dogs and 100 PF.
Totals: 1,647 cats/dogs, 100 PF, 50 breedings

2. Donate breeds

The best option is to donate Dalmation/Tabby all the way as they give the best EV ratio.
650,000 EV = 250 Dalmation/Tabby and 4 regular cats/dogs (1800 EV overpay due to steps)
Steps (50k, 80k, 120k, 150k, 250k): 19 + 2 regular, 31, 46 + 1 regular, 58, 96 + 1 regular
Totals: 1,004 cats/dogs, 500 PF, 250 breedings

Best option is done in maximum 250 breedings.These will provide enough drops. Keep in mind you will get skips and/or twins and/or regulars back during Baby Boom and therefor you might make it with a lot less.

There are many options to make your donations when you do a mix of regulars and level 1 to 5 breeds. You'll have to figure those out yourself! It might be handy to donate higher level breeds, it's just those are a lot more expensive per EV.

The above is just for one task, cats OR dogs. If you wish to to both, cats AND dogs, double up!

I agree these are high numbers for no outstanding rewards. Will see.

Thanks zerodegrees. I went to FAQ. I returned home from work & was tried to figure out the rewards & requirements. So just skipped them and came to your numbers. So it is 200 PFs to do the event. I thought I will do it. But after seeing Habalala's post, I have to donate so much of animals..... But then my Event OCD gets me and says do it. So thinking of doing it with minimum damage to my barn.

I always love dogs better than cats. I love cats too. But it is the dog that shows its love and trust in its eyes whenever it looks at us. Even if we are impatient it easily forgives us. But in other forums, Polish & Hungarian, they have decided to go for cats first. So I will finish the personal donations for cat & dogs and then wait to see the global progress. Then decide. May be a little donation on side of cats first and then to dog side... But not going to empty my CCs & barns. Will be doing marketing too.

Your teacher says No cats for you, only doggies. you shouldn't switch your loyalties and it is puppies and dogs for you.

That's how I understand it as well, MARLYMAR. It's 50 breedings for each animal = 100 PF + 200 animals However, the Barn Value for each animal is 650,000 so you will have to do more breeding, if you don't have that amount for both animals

 

I am in.
900 cats and dogs sitting in the barn, fighting with each other who will be rehomed into the breeding hut. Will do the necessary breeding in different steps. 32 breedings of each when BBD is on, wait for the results and then put more in. Keeping the nice skips for myself (hopefully there are some) and only putting the lower level cats and dogs into the game.

I thought that we really had to pick one side, once we had picked either cats or dogs we had to complete that side before any additional and optional donation to the other side. And if say I picked cats first and you picked dog first, if cats were the first to reach global goal only the cat people got the global reward. So the poor people with very good taste would lose out on a cloud row.

Did I get this totally wrong again ? Anyone that could clarify it for me?
I'd much rather have both CR than just one, and dog-CR instead of Cat as I haven't bred any dogs at all. But Cat-CR is much better than no CR.... I want it all, I want it all - ad I want it now !! *howling*

You'll only have to pick which animal you want to do first. Once finished on that one you can do the other.
By doing Cats only you can only participate in Global Donations for Cats. If only Dogs win in Global Donation, no CR!
By doing Dogs only you can only participate in Global Donations for Dogs. If only Cats win in Global Donation, no CR!
By doing both you can participate in both Global Donations and have a chance for one or both the CRs. (This is what 12ss12 refers to, extra donating after doing both tasks)

hello all finally my problem is solved with the neighbours who couldn't reach me lol what is this all about ?is it something with the cts and dogs we having on the farm? because i think i have 4 cats now and 1 dog am at level 27 now loll so i guess i have to build more stash before even thinking on playing an event

 

@maria19701 you cannot participate at all, as the FAQ state you have to be level 30.

But next time, you will be in Enjoy the time. My strategy in your case would be to raise more cats and dogs and sell them on the market
