Gorgeous picture of a handsome young man. I must come and visit you again before August then, as I wouldn't want to be a kebab!!!

You are welcome anytime Lilac (the roses still look beautiful).
Hector will have to go into "Purdah" mid August/early Sept but even during this time he still loves strokes over the fence.

Just as a silly enquiry, if you didn't know the source (me) could you identify the animal????? ;)

    OHHH, harsh Sanddollar ;)
    LiLac Kebabs!!! ;) Heehee..
Now are you going barbeque sauce?... I'm thinking garlic rosemary marinade but not sure if I could get Lilac to stand in marinade bucket before she says hello to Hector during the RUT!! ;)
Love you to bits Lilac (even more with horseraddish...;) ) Don't worry she's English & hopefully will understand my dodgy humour. :) Lilacxx

Re the marinade - what about a foot bath. Tell her it's for the Reindeer and am sure she would be happy to help you, but you will have to do it too. Just try and make it something that doesn't attract flies, or the deer or it won't be just Hector you'll be fighting off 8):pxD

We are now colour coded (head collars) all except Storm as I am awaiting a pale head collar (that fits) to arrive from USA. Dark colours "bleed" on pale faces when they get wet. The four older ones had their first worming today, I was going to wait a week to worm Storm as I had in my mind 6 weeks old but having since read instructions for lambs then it can be done from 4 weeks old - so tomorrow may be his day for nasty medicine.
Their next horrible day is their first vaccination which is due any time now (and repeated 6 weeks later).. Instructions say subcutaneous but it almost always causes abscesses in reindeer if SQ and their skin is extremely tight so difficult to do as well. Administering intermuscular (most calves and adults limb badly for a couple of days but no abscess). With the babies it is always a difficult decision. :(

I finally got a photo of all 5 babies together. It isn't a good one BUT!! They were all in coralle post feeding and close together.

And a picture of Freddy who is growing very quickly. :)

Wow, I think Freddy is going to be a big boy!;) So does Jeeves have the blue collar with the design on it and Tigga have the red one? I am not sure who to feel bad for with the medicine, you for having to give it,;) or the reindeer for having to get it! And yes I know how important it is for them to get their meds!

Lottidah, Belle and Tigga definitely staying.
Sand - Blue (patterned) for Jeeves and red for Tigga but those two colours will have to change as soon as I get better fitting ones as they will outgrow the "throat latch" very soon. But for now... R=Tigga, B=Jeeves. :)

BLZ, when Gandalf arrives depends on TB testing of the 800 cattle that live at the farm that Gandalf lives... If all goes well, then I hope September BUT it is rather up in the air... They need two more clear tests before any animals can be moved.. :(
and Jeeves will be staying for a while as wasn't happy with the enquiry for him... So he could stay for ages until the right home is found! :)

I also agree that Jeeves needs a wonderful forever home. Maybe you could keep him Karen if he was castrated?
