  1. I have just put up some manure for sale, checked the price first and found that the lowest price is 1500 and highest 1900 - this is sheer lunacy (literally, since we are in a full moon). I put some up for 500 each, yesterday the price was around 250 ea and I put some up for 100 per.

I've never seen it go beyond around 600 before - is there something that requires a 5% saving on growing times that I've missed.

I don't really have an issue with people selling at any price, since if buyers want to pay that then sellers will respond. I do think, though, it's a consequence of the developers putting an upper limit on the amount of manure a farm can stock. I've never understood this, and never had a valid answer from anyone why it is so. It's not like you can buy manure the same way as water, literally on tap when you need it at a price set at 1cc per unit (yes I know baha is dearer).

Why does it have to go to waste when you can't sell it and you can't use it? Merely because you can't store it until needed. Please don't tell me it takes up space, because it's merely a number in a database.

So, if anyone can come up with a reasonable explanation, or amusing ones I'm interested in knowing.

In my market (market 18.) the lowest price is 900 and the highest 1500. Indeed they are very high prices!

When there was not a limit in manure stock then the prices in the market where 0. something, they were basically under 1 country coin and rarely (maybe during events) above 1 CC.
So maybe they didn't like that manure price was so low and everyone could get it so cheap and they came up with the manure stock limit so the prices could raise.
That's the only reason I can think of right now. If I think about anything else I will let you know.

The first event advise my wise mentor gave me was, check out the strategy thread on the forum, try doing the event,
and sell manure in the market. I made my first 50,000 cc and was thrilled.
Newbies can make a lot more on their first few events now. :p

I always try to sell manure during events to make cc's when I can. Sometimes I wonder when the price drops so low if I should just let it go the waste or sell it. I think I should just start letting it go to waste after it reaches my inventory maximum because when it sells for those low prices I am not really making any money and no one else needs it either. When the event comes along all of these low offers will have to be bought before it gets to the new "Higher Price" due to the ongoing event. I know that sometimes the prices are exorbitant -- last event I sold some for $1300.00+ but I would also like to see a minimum price for it.

To provide a reason for the manure runes, to give the premium players a benefit, to add an extra challenge to us all.

And perhaps limit the smell pollution, and make sure we raise chickens for other reasons than for their droppings.

Edit: Forgot to add. The limit makes some people to actually list their manure. If you are a crop farmer, you will for the longest crop like to use manure. But if we could stock all manure, there will be less reason to list it, as you might need it yourself during events, or when you need to grow long time crop yourself. (Unless you're a market player)
