I'd like to see the market system be a bit more dynamic, and one way to make this happen would be to allow buyers to bid their price for goods. This gives players more options when buying and selling. If someone is looking to buy instantly, then they can see the going rates. If someone is willing to wait a little time in the hopes of buying at a lower rate, then they can set a quantity and amount they would pay. This would allow sellers to come along and have the option to sell instantly at the highest bid price, or to post the item as it currently works.

Basicly you're suggesting to create a second market place or option where farmers are allowed to trade (buy/sell) goods at a lower price as the current existing market with two adventages: it's instant and it's cheaper for the buyer

I'm not against the idea but I foresee a couple of hickups:
    - without any price regulation the instant market will undercut prizes at the current market, which will make the current market useless and soon enough it would vanish
    - fun of the current dynamic market is the challenge to trade goods in a good pace at a going price. That fun is quickly blown away in an open market where 50,000 fellow farmers offer to instantly buy 1,000,000 Whatever @ 0.01 CC/each from you. And how much time and scrolling will it take to find that one farmer in the bidding list who is offering you to buy for 10,00 CC/each less as the current market for it? Might well be a listing on the current market would've saved you time!
    - at the current market it's already very well possible to sell Whatever instantly and at whatever low price too, just list Whatever at 0.10 CC/each and guaranteed you're goods will near instantly change owner. I agree, in the current market it's harder to buy Whatever at that price but it's not impossible
    - when eventually in the long run all items are instantly obtainable, buyable and sellable at 0.01 CC/each, what's the point of having a market?

    Just a few thoughts :)

I don't think that players would sell their goods at that price. They will only sell to those with higher bids.
Yes that is an important problem and maybe there should be some regulations.

Ok the thing that through me off (the other day reading this was) the OP topic was the sell high fast. Today it is someone buying stuff fast. The market we have now you can go and buy any item for any price you want too now fast... someone has item for 10 cc and another person has it for 1000 cc you can pick what you want to spend... Most of the time its always the lowest that gets sold first, fast. I also feel that this will only work for the seller. But keep in mind that the buyers alot of times will use the reg market where things are cheap.

Now while I will agree we do need something, I doubt BP will add another market for this. Even though I do love this idea. Not trying to dis it in anyway but it will be like i said... buyers will still use the other market where things are cheap...I know i had issues with making money on newt feed. But as I said everyone we do need something done with this market or like decree said a new one but set up totally different. Maybe if I think on this for awhile I can help come up with something.... As a fellow farmer who is hurting for coins, I need all the help I can get. This is my 2 cc's worth for now ..lol

I once played a game where you could list what you needed, and what you were willing to offer. The offer stayed up there for as long as the sell offer. Another difference in the market I liked where that you didn't need to buy the entire lot, so if you wanted 10 carrots and there was only bulk offers at a 1000, you could still buy only 10 carrots. Disadvantage was ofc sometimes you didn't sell all carrots and perhaps you got back 78 of a 1000 carrots back. I liked that market, sadly the rest of the game was a long good yawn.

Another version of this suggestion could be a market watch of some kind, so you got an alert when offers of a certain item was up at a price or lower than your marked price. Would work well with the new (spam)notifications farmerama is implementing anyway. I'd switch it on for that.
