SOS Back to the Past item/ Limestone

Back to the Past starts on TOMORROW(31st of August 2017 - 5th of September 2017) and this thread is for those who need a helping hand from fellow farmers to finish or achieve personal goals during this event.

Strategy

The (very rough) estimated daily/24 hour period requirement is:

108 limestone
77 Soapstone


Always remember to save your gifts till after the event starts so you can start to send event items straight away!

If you need anything else for the event, ask for it here.

Arielh ... hopefully below explains how event becomes 5 days; only trying to help.

Start: Thursday, 31st of August at 14:00 CEST (UTC+2)
End: Tuesday, 5th of September at 14:00 CEST (UTC+2)

08-31 at 14:00 (8:00am) until 09-01 at 14:00 (8:00am) equals 24 hours or 1 day … BEGIN
09-01 at 14:00 (8:00am) until 09-02 at 14:00 (8:00am) equals 24 hours or 2 days
09-02 at 14:00 (8:00am) until 09-03 at 14:00 (8:00am) equals 24 hours or 3 days
09-03 at 14:00 (8:00am) until 09-04 at 14:00 (8:00am) equals 24 hours or 4 days
09-04 at 14:00 (8:00am) until 09-05 at 14:00 (8:00am) equals 24 hours or 5 days … END

As you can see, event is only 5 days, because it ends at 14:00 (08:00am) on Sept. 5th.
The event does not go all day on 09-05-2017 (the last day).

 

I believe it is 6 days...

I can understand your point, yes it is not 6 full days. It is like about trips, if you sleep 4 nights in that place but you leave the fifth day you say you had a 5 day trip even thought you didn't spend all day there.
And also if we think about drops and the game I believe it is still six days because on the sixth day we will be able to harvest. Most people get more drops from their first harvest in the morning, especially because usually they plant long crops overnight. So on Tuesday players will be able to harvest their long hour crops and get many drops.

The event's duration spans over 6 calendar days, but... 120 hrs is only 5 full days to collect drops and complete the event, not 6 days.


108 limestones needed per 24 hrs
76.8 soapstones needed per 24 hrs

 

As soon as we can get drops all these days, even if they are not full, I think it is better to divide it by 6.
Maybe I can include your numbers PeepsCa too but I think players will be confused if they see your calculations and mine that are not the same.

 

Ok Arielh... just keep in mind that by using your lower estimated numbers this may end up leaving a lot of people scrambling for drops towards the end of the event, or asking for help too late to be able to finish (which is why I added my 2 cents).

And as other's have pointed out, events lately have only been 5 days long (120 hrs), not the usual 6 days long (144 hrs).

Those who have set up the day before for the Event, will get a large amount of drops in the first minute. That's as good as an extra day in my humble opinion.

 

Event Timer started at 120 hrs which is 5 days. 540 limestone needed is 108 daily. Soapstone needed is 384 which is roughly 77 daily.

***** UPDATE: I'm still in need of many stones! So far, only 1 non*neighbor has sent me anything & the drop rate has been exceptionally poor. Help??!?? ..... Please??

~~ NEW Update ~~ Sunday/ 3rd Sept ~ 1802hrs {pst/USA}
Really appreciate all the farmers who've sent me Event stones! Have finished the Right side, have 2 steps remaining on the Left .... the Middle building is "killing" me! Also, my needs seem to be equally split between Lime/Soap stones. With SG ...SSG... water....poo...Fruit Cake... CAC & ppp, no problem getting the remaining crops.

I am a new account belonging to --Shimmer--, and I'm trying to complete part of the event to get the trees and power feed with only 3/4 of a field open on Baharama! I would very much appreciate SOAPSTONE only please.

I have calculated I need just 75 soapstone to reach my goal of 10 golden bananas if I can....but I'm getting such low drops, only 1-2 per harvest. I don't have even one full field open and I don't have any long crops on Baha. Every gift really counts! I will keep updating how many soapstones I need.

With 24 hours left to go I need 19 soapstones. Many thanks to everyone who has sent one, it's really the only way I'm getting anywhere!

I was also thinking about what is better for players, to see high numbers that they usually can't get in one day they may feel desperate.
But I understand what you said and I will agree that the event is 5 events, even though my numbers could work too.
I have edited my first post and changed the limestone to 108 and Soapstone to 77.
In the next SOS thread I will divide the total drop requirement by 5. (Considering it is a 120 hour event)

Hi, for some reason dragging those trophies from field to field is not doing it. Drops are falling better on Baha.
If anyone has an extra Limestone in their Quarry I could really use it. Let me know if you need a return stone.

Hi Vinksy. Just making sure you know, gifts are free. You only get a certain number per day but they don't come out of your stock of stones. You can send Soapstones to other people too
