I've made zillions of Elephants over the years, so can do this without breeding, saving my PF for something else. Good luck farmers.

I think we might have an event where breeding gives you farm coins as drops. So we can get GBs from the shops. Just my guess & reasoning. I am going to do the just as Erridge does. Save my PFs and donate basic elephants. I have sufficient number of them.

Not to be mean, but the new AO about the new content has the time for it's arrival. Above the main picture. Luckily you were a day ahead, not a day behind. That is the best way to be, unless you're counting down for the weekend. Having Friday "two times in a row" really isn't fun.

 

Any how... minus the fact I cant read today... i don't think i can do this event.... but am working on putting elephants out again..

You only got boy elephants? Or only girl elephants ? Hippos dressed in elephant costumes ? Elephants hiding in the cherry trees ? (oh that I know - try looking for nails painted red. Elly-camouflage. Extremely hard to spot)

It's always possible to become rich selling elephants the first days. If following Mooboy's numbers breeding 15 Jade and 15 Mammoth would require 210 PF me thinks. That is without any twins, skips and good luck.

I have been working on elephants ever since it was announced that they were the next breeding animal but I forgot all about the GB's needed to unlock the breeding statue.
Strategy: Scurry around to find GB's.

 

Don't forget to include the 5 GBs that are the daily gift for tomorrow -- so scurry minus 5 if you're willing to wait for them.

 

I shall use the 5 GB's and open Crystal Falls 2
And forget this event ...would love to have dressed the elephants ..but not for that amount needed from my barn

 

I'm not participating either. I can't anyway -- just opened my elephant recently. I don't think 22 elephants will get me very far. Might sell a few, though, for all those who need them.

 

I will totally do this event! I've got...well, had...over 5000 elephants, so more than enough to do entire thing without breeding. I sold 500 for over 11 million CCs this morning , have another 500 listed, and will sell another 1000 if prices go back up. I'll probably breed some, but at least I don't HAVE to if I don't want to. Still have plenty of GBs to open elephant breeding and most if not all the other new Baha goodies that are coming - can't wait for the seal!

Thanks for the complete breakdown, Mooboy! Based on your cost analysis of old pens vs. new, I bought 25 of the current elephant pens to add to what stock I already have, to save costs later on.

 

Sorry but umm i don't think making 15 mammoth and jade be a good idea. To get 15 each i have did the math and here it is...

256 elephant > 64 whites > 16 spotted > 4 jades > 1 mammoth 15 times is 3840 elephants. This right here is more then 3222 of needed bases

Not counting the 15 Jades here
64 elephant > 16 whites > 4 spotted > 1 jade times 15 is 960 elephants for my grand total of 4800 elephants will be needed.. Am I wrong?

Now here is what I am thinking. 4 elephants is 1952 . A white is 2800. To make the needed mammoths and jades you will need 1200 whites... (if I am doing this right) To get the event you will only need 562 whites.... Which is 2248 elephants.

So can someone please help me here.... I think i have seen more elephants in my head and the event hasn't even started yet.... i am gonna be sleeping with elephants tonight for sure now...

EDIT: to do each step at 104,800 base with breeding whites you will need 37 whites and 3 elephants each step for a new total of 555 whites and 45 elephants. Total elephants to do this will be 2265.

My earlier total of elephants was for the total of value we need to complete all. I didn't add the extra's for each steps.. Sorry about this..

Also that's not counting the powerfeed we will need to make the 555 whites... This doesn't seem right. Somewhere I had to have messed up.

Someone please confirm my calculations .... So having 3225 elephants is better than breeding (215 per step)

I'm not a math person by any stretch, but are any of you factoring in skips? With the introduction of a new breeding animal, skips are higher in probability than any other time. At least this is my experience over the last 6.5 years. There is also the twins consideration.

I will probably do a mix of both....regular elephants and colored(bred) ones. I will donate whatever comes closest to the exchange value required per level, because anything over the amount is wasted.

The other aspect is the great fun of breeding!!!! I adore Baby Boom Day!!! It's my absolute fav mini event!!!! I can hardly wait to see what my 4 animals have produced! Thank goodness BP came up with pheromones, pink jelly and the 2 CR's to speed up breeding b/c I'm a very impatient breeder!!!

Additional Elephant Breeding Info. For Those Who are new to Breeding or Newbies. During First 6 Hours at the start of Elephant Breeding, we have Baby Boom Breeding Event. We will be having Baby Boom this Weekend too for the whole weekend

Baby Boom

When we all do Breeding, it needs 2 power feeds with 4 based animals or 4 colour breeding animals.
With all Breeding we have a random chance to get a skipped breeding Level. This can happen during Normal Breeding. But it does not happen that much i would say about 10% Chance of a Skip.

But with Baby Boom the chances of getting a skip is increased up to 20%. Again it is random. But with Baby Boom we can win an Extra Colour Breeding Animal, than you would get from normal breeding.

You Also have a chance to win back based animals, can be 2 or 4 Based Animal. But if you have Baby Boom Rune Activated in The Glade Tree. You have Additonal chance to win another random breeding animal or 4 based animals. In Effect you get Triple Outcome. Baby Boom gives you Twins Outcome.

On These Statistics, You will be consuming less Elephants during Breeding. As you can get back a reasonable chuck of based animals in a way of refund

Breeding Skips

You best chance of getting good skips is using based animals. The next best chance of a skip is using 1st Level breeding animal.

Must not do during Breeding

Do not mix up you breeding animals from Level 1 to Level 8. As you are most likely to get back less than what you donated

Take Note, of these statistics the Formula of number of Elephants to Acquire an Jade Elephant or Mammoth Elephant is much less than than you would expect due to Randomness of skips + Baby Boom + Baby Boom Rune

There is another alternative way to do this event, There is no need to do elephant breeding. You simply buy colour breeding elephants in the markets when they start being listed by farmers. But you will be needing lots of CC in your Barn.

If i had 3222 Elephants i would not donate them to this event. I would sell as many as i could, to get as much CC as i can, take advantage of High Price in the markets while you can ? With the proceeds you have made in terms of CC.

You are splurge your CC snapping up cheap breeding elephants in the markets. This way you have much better exchange value of breeding elephants to donate for Date Night Event Quest

That's what I am planning. Sell how much ever you can when price rises & then when it drops very low, buy & finish the event.

Yesterday I found out that I had 2 baha wonder stables in my barn. Placed them. Got a Crocodile pen !!!!! My first. Happy. Never thought I would ever like crocodiles, anacondas & frogs. The things Farmerama makes us do.
