Septemberfest- strategy thread

In the past I have used the first letter of each item (or first letter of color of item) but this one BP caught on so to make things harder for us there are some items with the same first letter (Pizza/Pretzel and Pie/Popsicles and Brown/Blue or Beer/Blue).

so I have changed it a little
1. Sausage, Pretzel, Hamburger, Corn PiZza
2. Pie, Cake, 2 Popsicles, Donut, Ice Cream
3. Orange Martini, Brown Beer, Green Soda, Umbrella Blue Cocktail, Pink Champagne or you could use Brown Rootbeer and Blue Cocktail

From posts in past events it sounds like everyone either takes a picture with phone or screenshot on computer or writes down initial to identify items. Whatever is easy for you to remember when entering the items because there isn't much time to look it up.

Note re Drops: This time even low level trees gave good drops. I was short on fruit for feed so I had some XXL, XL and regular Apple, Plum, Walnut, Pear and Mulberry trees out when the event first started (instead of prepping fields with high level crops) and got good drops from them. Usually I don't get any drops (or only one or two) for a half-field of these types of trees during events.

Game switched from one order to two orders at Level 90 (3rd gift box) on bar -- be ready. I haven't reached 3 orders yet. I just noticed that time increased on this part also to 28 seconds (without spoon) and 40 seconds with.
The game switches again just after you get the gift box and enter the last row to 3 orders (Level 360) and the timers change to 37 seconds (without spoon) and 55 seconds with.

wow indeed prices are getting so low but maybe it is because drops come from pens this time.

I think that's it.

 

I used placed more pens/workshops out because of that. I have been using it on my event crops because sales were slow but I need more than what pens/workshops provide. So there should be some decrease in sales and market prices but that doesn't seem to be the only reason for the drastic decrease in prices/sales.

 

Thanks for the wonderfull ideas given for the pencil and paper notation of the ingredients! Really a big help for oldies like me

 

Yeah, I've got plenty of manure from my own pens this time, so not buying any on the market. Likely neither are the other farmers participating in this event.

This is just slightly off-topic, but for the life of me, I swear - I magically just got the florist shop open - I just got to level 3 on the confectionary and when I finished the quest to unlock it, there was the quest to build the florist...am I forgetting something like you get to so far in 2 and the third one opens up? I keep wondering if BP will take it back after they've given it to me by accident.

I also tweaked the letter codes a bit - we all need to make them work for us and it needs to be what catches our eye/reminds us of that item.

 

UPDATE: Manure sales are starting to pick up so maybe some farmers have used up their surplus.
UPDATE 2: Manure sales stagnating again. Might have to work out other ways to afford that CAC.

Artisans: I can't remember that far back -- I am at level 4 and I still don't have the florist opened. I don't have the bakery open either so it wasn't a choice of one or the other to open after finish level 3 of confectionery. Something new or a glitch? What is the name of the florist quest? I thought the only way you could open them was the store during Renzo's Fair or to buy the Super Special Order on the sign for the unopened ones in the Artisans' Village.

 

nm561 - I couldn't remember that far back, either, but I found it in the FAQs (duh!):

Can I open all the trades?
At the moment, you can open 1 trade for free, a 2nd one as a purchase or won at Renzo's Fair, and the 3rd trade will open automatically when the 2 other trades are both at Trade-Level 3. This only applies to the level 40 trades: Bakery, Confectionery and Floristry


And with this latest event crop harvest, I've now discovered that I'm going to have to change up my strategy - need more stables and trees for the drops or I'm not going to finish this one... phooey. (and I can't fix this font. sorry about that...)

For me the only way to do these type of events is to use my smart phone to take a picture of the screen.

It is a pain having to delete all those pictures at the end but way easier for me then trying to use a paper and pencil or taking screen shots and trying to flip back and forth between tabs.

 

I'm going to try the smart phone picture option this time. It takes too much time to write it all down(even with abbreviations) and a ton of post-it notes(I write big letters). I might have to use several spoons before I get the hang of it.
Let's see if this old dog can learn a new trick?

 

Completed the event, I had pens, trees and crops on each field. Thank you BP for 200% harvester boost.

 

Cassie - Wow .....I'm impressed!!!! Congrats on finishing so quickly!!!! Isn't the 200% harvester booster the greatest? Any good tips for doing the menu? I'm nervous to start.

 

I finished also .... only took 80 outfits, as i goofed on a couple .
I also had Stables, Trees, and Crops on all Fields .
Cloud Row up and running !!

I did a few yesterday relying on the good old non-sticky, old post-it note brain. It went okay. Missed one. Today however I'm back to my cake tactic, printed out the picture with all the possible choices from faq, put it in a see-through folder, whiteboard marker and a whiper. I'm good to go, hardly any more brainpower is needed. I feel like a winner already

 

What is a Smart Phone? lol. Mine still has push buttons and is only used once every 5 years (when I can find it!)

 

Moraine, that idea is nothing short of brilliant! I am a paper and pencil person but I just love your idea!

 

It is still paper Sanddollar, and I use a whiteboard maker which is pretty close to a pen. But as a slightly dyslectic person letters are though for me, so I prefer pictures. I mark pictures 1 for those belong to the first meal 2 for the 2nd and surprisingly 3 for the 3rd. I know I know, being a bit of a rebel and free thinker on that last one, but hey ho it does the job with little fuss.

 

Congratulations dumbunny for opening a third trade! I also didn't know that about trades, but well I only have confectionery but I don't use that much either.

I have completed 48 orders Plan on making 31 more (goofed twice) Still need 16 hats and 37 aprons if my math is correct so my field of trees should give me that. Took out some trees this morning to grow more crops....4,650 of those are needed (roughly) I've been using my phone. I get too flustered trying to write it down or mark it Once upon a time I could probably do it but now...not so much Congrats to you that have finished!!
