Not that many decades ago (ok maybe a century, time sure does fly when we're having fun) fairies were evil underworld creatures. A changeling was a person that was taken by the fairies and replaced with fairy. They were never up to any good, wicked to the core. Then came Disney, and the cold never bothered us any more.

Yesterday deep into the event, the penny finally dropped. There's no CR, the only use for the event crop is to make speedy tree mulch. And feed the event berries to the greedy & hungry pink flying stuff. Decided I don't need both fields for that, not that there's much of the second field. But It's in the works for whatever I need for the kitty, or the tree. Might switch fields for those two missions. Or go back and re-read this thread to find out how many I need for the 4 givers.

SO happy from reading all the posts, that is the best thing with this event :inlove:

Internet as always is incredibly slow! Yesterday forgot to gift my neighbours (on all 5 farms) so apologies to everyone.
Today forgot to put CAC on one farm. Also have made 10 too many Shadow Mulch and have loads of Spider Fern left over too. I also had to pay 6bb to get the daily MM prize on one farm.
Because of the slow internet I did not have time to read these lovely strategy posts or refer to the FAQ to see exactly what I needed to do.
Good news is that hopefully I am now back on track with Gripping Grass growing strongly.
Nothing else can go wrong, can it?
    Good luck everyone.

I think I have enough ferns now to finish the bar.

I have none of the pens or trees for MM (it's only been open twice since I started). Except one -- cat fairy feeding gave me a Nightgleam tree last night -- woohoo -- one down. :inlove:

I'm discovering it's a bit like a family tree chart in building these things in Jack's shop. You need this tree to make that tree or pen, and so on (goodness knows what I'll need to feed the pens -- not thinking about that right now - haha). I'm working on a Tentacle Willow as I wait for more oak fruit. My problem is I had so many MM crops that just had the standard 10 in inventory that the game gives you. A lot of work needed over in MM world.

I'll spare some BBs to buy a couple of eerie wonder trees tomorrow as well (hoping to get a Dark Queen Apple - fingers crossed). Then it's pens, which may have to wait until next time if I run out of time.

Thank you, farmerumf, for the reminder -- also need to grow some gripping grass at some point.

My first present for feeding the fairies... ONE STICKER ...I begrudge spending 23:41 to get This STICKER ...Have got better things to do with my time

Yes Jazzy I think I have ...even with that ...what i have growing now is 23: 28
and that has the mauve power feed and the normal power feed ... and super grow and gives 12

They should give that Sticker for us just taking part in an event ...not as a present to stick in a book never to be seen again

I think everyone got a sticker the first time. Mine have all been small portions of ccs or EP or SG, etc. Until I got the Nightgleam last night.

Are you making the shadow mulch in the mill with ferns and spray bottles? With reg. mulch and shadow mulch, it takes the Midnight Oak growth time to 2 hours and 36 minutes. The shadow mulch alone knocks off 90% of growth time. If you have Suzy's SG -- you can get 12 oak fruit instead of 10 per each tree harvest.

So Disney was a faerie to the bone. Right. Got it.

Thanks for your wise words Moraine!
Nevertheless during this season I prefer feeding casketworms.

9 critters fed, no jackpot found, not yet. Working on Spotted Horror to buy more Nightgleam Trees (needed for Slime Monster feed and new FSQ)

I think Heck has frozen over. This morning on ONE party spin I got a 200% bonus. It works on the event trees! So I'm farming like crazy piling up stock for the winter...or something like that.

Anyway, then I went and spun the wheel over on sewinglady's farm. Nearly fell outta my chair. 2 +1 crops, a 100% and a 200% bonus. Who needs to sew when you're farming under bonuses like that?

Anyway, things I've learned - the jackpots from the kitteh-fairehs are pretty swell. Both farms have gotten that pretty little 1x1 giver and sewinglady's got a slime monster pit, too!

We can only use one purple tree mulch per tree at a time, but with regular mulch, reduces growing time to 2 hours 36 minutes.

I moved everything I could (nice of BP to give us a list - it's in the Mansion's FAQ) to the Mansion to free up space on the park and bay. As far as extra givers from Jack's shop go - the best, as far as I'm concerned, are "potent portrait" which is a 1x2 giver, fairly 'cheap' to purchase and gives 800EP every 6 hours, and "precision science" which is a 2x2 which gives 1600EP every 6 hours. So those are the two that I've spent MM plants and animals getting for the new Mansion field.

I have the 29 1x1 plots on the new field growing the event plant. That leaves what's left of my main MM field to grow other MM plants. I am very appreciative of the low amount of crops and drops needed to mill the purple tree mulch.

    Anyway, back to the farms!

I think perhaps there's a quest giving one as a reward. But perhaps it's cheaper to buy from Jack ? also there's a Gift & trade coming up. Who knows, you might be able to get some of the spooky stuff without having to buy from Jack. I have at least 1 Dark Queen Apple to spare. Got your name on it now, better hope you don't get one during mystery seedling event. It's carved in, and the tree would be so disappointed.

o_Ooo - thank you, Moraine. I've always wanted my name carved into a tree -- a Dark Queen somehow makes it even better. :)

Are we going to be able to trade MM trees and stables this time around? I didn't see that in the FAQ for it...

Nellie: Once you apply the shadow mulch (purple) and the regular mulch (brown) to the Midnight Oaks, I noticed it takes a minute before the effect shows up. So it will say 23 hours plus, but if you wait a moment -- with those two mulches, it will go to 2 hours and 36 minutes.

Then you you haven't mulched with the purple mulched. That one needs to be milled in the mill.

I think Morine may be correct -- are you sure you're using the event mulch as well? It's the shadow mulch made in the mill with 10 spider ferns (event crop) and 1 spray bottle (drop). The Shadow Mulch reduces the Midnight Oak trees by 90%.

Not 2 sacks of regular mulch -- you need the event mulch too.
