Thanks for the great strategy post PnP!

This event is one of those which sounds complicated but is much easier to do than to explain. We get those sometimes. The important thing is priorities. To simplify from PnP's post:

    1) Do step 1 & 2 of the Companion Quest
    2) Donate Venom Bulbs to open all the land
    3) Upgrade Fairy Houses
    4) (Optional) Do steps 3 - 5 of the Companion Quest
    5) (Optional) Make Magic Meals to speed up the Fairy Houses.

This is classed as a medium to hard event so some people will have to choose between finishing the Companion Quest and getting the cloud row.

Just a couple of small things:

    - Without buffs like CAC there is NO DIFFERENCE in yield between using big plots and small plots for your crops, only in the number of seeds needed to plant them in the first place. With such small numbers needed it may at times be worth changing the plot sizes to be able to plant every last seed at once, thus gaining 5 free seeds.

    - If you can produce fruit from the new Moonlight Wonder Trees and aren't using it immediately, it's actually a really good thing to donate. It sounds very wasteful but it's not like you can sell them to other players, and the FS quest hardly uses any of the new fruit. It has a good donation value and very fast production time.

Thanks to everyone who posted in the previous strategy thread and here!
I now have some idea of what we are facing. To me, the FAQ and posts seem spooky enough to be harmless in the end. If time permits I'll go for it.

Virtual creepy pumpkin hugs to all fellow farmers. May the ghosts be with you.

Anyone know if we can move our crop trophy on the field to help with drops?

As thrilled as I am about this Halloween event, unfortunately I probably will get nowhere close to finishing because I recently donated a ton of crops, tree fruit and animals toward maxing out my trophies. I don't have enough to donate to this event now. If not for that, I'd have a fighting chance. So I will just enjoy the Halloween atmosphere and go as far as I can with no pressure.
    Good luck everyone!

Unless they messed up, no. Trophies cannot be placed on Moonlight Mania fields because if you forgot them after the event ended and the field closed....you'd lose them for a month. Imagine losing them forever if you put them on the temporary event field!

Thanks Shimmer - Yes losing my trophies I have worked to build up for a month would be awful!!! *Cringe*

A new Fairy Den is available when unlocking the 1st, 3rd and 5th playfield areas. The areas open in order in an anti-clockwise direction.

Shooger.Sweet... this should read "Counter-Clockwise". I don't know how to reach Shooger and I don't feel like it belongs in a Help/General Issues/or Technical Issues.

My day off tomorrow and I feel like kicking some okole.

Please do use Dusk shadow. All of you!!!!
25000 EV means only 250 dusk shadow.
If you use DL fireflies, you need 70. TOO MANY!
Think about how long it will take you to get back those 70 animals or any other animal, tree or crop.
Dusk shadow is our best option.

A big thank you to those that have went beyond the call of duty in working out all requirements for idiots like me.
After my initial trepidation on looking at FAQ's and thinking where do I start things have become more clearer (I think) to plan event out.
Thanks guys:inlove::D whatever prizes I recieve for the least work the better I will be

Banjoman, anti-clockwise is more often used in conversation where I come from. Counter-clockwise is the sort of term you'd find in a dusty old book, or one set 100 years ago and deliberately using old language. I woudn't consider either term wrong though, why do you? Is 'anti-clockwise' just never used where you live, or is there some other reason?

Anti-clockwise is the British term, counter-clockwise the US version I believe. So both correct. :)

Here's a little bit of strategy I have just performed. Many of you may have already done it before but for those who are new to the game, this might help a little. There are rarely any events where we can't use ANY buffs - in fact I can't remember one and I have been playing for nearly eight years. (Nearly put eighty - sometimes feels like it lol!) :p

Before the event starts, put any manure you have on the market at the highest rate possible, then buy as much as your pile can take, put it up for sale again - top price again, then, after 10 lots are on the market, buy enough to fill your manure pile. This way, you have a lot of poo to call on for the event. :)

Just remember to keep taking from your stockpile as manure prices rise or you run the risk of your poo selling before you can use it! Still, there is a good chance you will make a few CCs on the way. ;)

Hi, can someone send me Breath of Life? My nick is Amanshon. Thanks. :)

But breath of life is not decoration, it is drop for that halloween event.

This Event will take a fair while to work out as we cannot use any Buffs to assist us with this Event.

We have 5 Zones of 25 x (1x1) Fields, so looks like we have to use a mixture of using 2x2,2x1 and 1x1

The number of seeds yielded per plot depends on plot size.

    A 2x2 gives 5 seeds
    A 1x2 gives 3 seeds
    A 1x1 gives 2 seeds

This event does not allow the use of anything to increase your harvest size, so you will get the same number of seeds from a field no matter what size plot you use.

    A 2x2 gives 5 seeds less 1 to plant = 4 seeds
    There are 2 *1x2 plots in a 2x2 so 3 seeds x 2 less 2 seeds to plant = 4 seeds
    There are 4*1x1 plots in a 2x2 so 2 seeds x 4 less 4 seeds to plant = 4 seeds

There will be high dependency of water and manure for Event field, during the whole event. So Manure prices will be high

My Priority is build up stock of Venom Bulbs to start with. The start to plant and glow Moonlight Bulbs as overnight Crops. But try reap as many Venom Bulbs asap to unlock up to field 4 asap ;)

Many thanks to PnP and Illy for the strategies! You know this olde phart truly does appreciate them!
    ;)

Well, now that the event has started it has become much more clear. PnP your strategy for doing the fields first, combined with completing the companion FSQ is right on. The FSQ gives you event products you can (and will) use right up front. By completing the first three sections of the FSQ I was able to open the second field before I planted the event crop. That's going to give me a foot up (so to speak) in opening up the next fields. Many thanks PnP, your strategy is right on!

I follow PnP strategy, Do the FSQ 1-3 lv to get Venorn Bulbs to open one more field,
due to Time zone, I could only plant once the Venom Bulbs, after harvest, I could unlock
1 more field, then it come to my bed time. So, plant moonlight bulbs for overnight & start
build up Venorm Bulbs next morning.

    Just a thought,
the difference between 1x1 versus 1x4 fields is in the amount of manure and water needed to speed up the growing time.

Ah the companion quest is not as hard as I thought it'd be. I completed steps 1-3 easily. I thought I wouldn't have enough crops for it but I did. Guess I have a fighting chance after all.
