I know it says we can only plant the event crop on mainland fields, but what about drops?

You will get these drops when harvesting your main fields from crops, stables, workshops and trees.

Does main fields also mean our main fields in Baha, and not Crystal Falls, or does it also mean mean just "mainland" fields ?

 

"Your main fields...." means just mainland fields. Baha, Rainforest and Crystal Falls are excluded.

My question is how on earth can we calculate how many we need of anything?

 

I know!!!!! I think this one is just play as we go and pray for the best. It's coins we need to get the cloud row and the other goodies. Oh phooey. I just made my mainland fields all nice again and full of trees.

Edited to add: at least mill time is practically non-existent, so it's just "crops and drops".

 

Ya'll read my mind, I sure hope the drops are good, baha must be dedicated to the "wonder stable" stuff going on, hopefully they will release the info soon on those events too.

I like events like this one, has two of my favorite things, has a store to "buy" what you want, and can keep playing till the end of the event, for those of us who have "way too much time on our hands"

Only 624 Star Coins needed for the CR and all the trimmings - if we go round once and collect them all, I make that 359 so looks like a double lot of pipes!

Just added this up in my head (which was empty at the time so I though I would put it to use!) so please feel free to correct me if I am wrong.

 

Thanks for the number crunching, illy! Somewhere I saw that there are extra star coin bonuses as we go? That might make the cloud row and givers doable in one time through, but I think I want some extra GBs...so there is that.

 

i figured the crop is 7 hours... that's 3 harvests in a day... we will have 5 good days... but the 6th day we will need to use that to start it up.. but on a full field of 202 1x1 squares i figured that 606 times 3 is 1818 times 5 good days that's 9090. I'm sure we can get remaining 910 on first day easy... we can make 200 of each pipes ( don't make 200 each cause this is the math i used.. only if you need it or if useing more then one field for event) for 10,000 crops...and if each step of event avg 20 per step , completing it one time shouldn't be a problem for us....

EDIT: I did not use water, manure, or supergrow in the math...

 

How many Bamboo and how many drops? I counted an average # of the 24 milk pipes and came up with 10,272 (rough) and 1032 wrenches (rough) If they all require the more or less same pattern of pipes. For a 7 hour crop that's going to be tough; growing flat out bamboo and getting enough drops from them is the million dollar question. Easy event? ah...no. I've jumped in gung ho before and had my tires flattened a couple of times before so I'm on the cautious side. Cloud row seems okay, but the other stuff I'd like to have.
We'll have to see it in action so the strategy can be planned.

I will be using 1x1's with Foxtail planted. This is going to boil down to how the drops will be. Alos, it seems to me the prices of items we can purchase is almost double from the last event Oh well, think I will just putter along and see how it goes. Good luck to all!!

Hope this will be another fun event. Because we seem to be able to choose our own path, it's still a pity the FAQ is unclear about the minimum and maximum totals for each level, nor does it say anything about skipping rewards (will the extra coins still be rewarded or not?).
Nevertheless it all looks neat and I am looking forward to the "new" concept.

Too bad I will start off with a very low initial drop rate as today I won both 100% harvest bonus and 200% EP bonus, both goodies will end 3 hours before the event starts so I will harvest my long time overnight crops, pens, trees, workshops for the bonuses, instead of waiting with the harvest till event. Will let you know what a 3 or 4 hour crop provides, dropwise..

I just re read the FAQ. Like habalala pointed out - we may be able to choose our own path. Those goodies along the way may make this one tough if the drop rates aren't good. Staged up some carnations that I will harvest tomorrow after event start.

This Event FAQ is not that simple or straight forward to understand. As we have to complete 7 Piping Mazes to complete.

We do not have an insight to how many straight or bend pipes we need per maze. During in each piping maze we can collect additional farm coins plus other prizes as progress places the pipes to complete all 7 mazes.

It is how well we can reap Pipe Bamboo and wrenches during this event. We will be needing to obtain at least 1000+ Farm Coins to get CR+Givers+Miscellaneous Rewards

The number of Farm Coins it much higher to collect prizes from the Event Store. But we can obtain lots of Farm Coins. As we need to try every effort to get as many Farm Coins as we can.

My objective is to get as many event crops and drops as possible. Then plan out each maze as it comes, to get a good idea how many Straight or bent pipes we need per Maze

 

i got to say something else here also... while it looks like we don't have to go the right (BP) way to get each step done.... maybe planning it all out before we complete each step will be best.. cause if we are able to pass some star coin rewards up (if and only if bonus pays ok.. or/and we can do event again even faster to least get the ones we got before).. by the pictures we can almost do the whole step (which is called planning) and the other is called done...so i think i will be planning on all unless all rewards is in the easy grab section of the pipe laying....lol

the bonus coins has me working my head in overtime...lol does it mean we have to do something in order to get it? or is it a matter of pipes used? or is it we have to collect everything laid out in front of us to get them? or and this is me thinking out loud here... can it be that based on what we do that each bonus coin stage can be different? because if this last is true.... you better believe i will max out them pipes and collect all rewards the first time around to make sure i do what is needed...to max my star coins per step....

Based on this post and what i posted earlier.... (sorry from here down is better, just not going back to reedit top portion of this post ....lol)

202 squares of event crops (i didn't figure water, manure, or supergrow). Can net you roughly over 10000 crops in the 6 days this event is... 3 harvests a day with 3 hour break... pfft....lol i know.. so water them and manure them to reduce that 7 hours and lets make sure we can sleep...lol I also want to point out doing only 202 squares should get you the event done 1 time only..

By the FAQ pictures... 10 steps/levels we have to do.... we should be able to plan out all 10 before we complete them...

umm... i went to look at the FAQ and its been updated on us...i got 408 more star coins by this chart...

Each level also rewards an extra amount of Star coins, which can be seen on the event layer:
Level 1 - 10 x Star coins
Level 2 - 7 x Star coins
Level 3 - 40 x Star coins
Level 4 - 40 x Star coins
Level 5 - 53 x Star coins
Level 6 - 50 x Star coins
Level 7 - 50 x Star coins
Level 8 - 49 x Star coins
Level 9 - 44 x Star coins
Level 10 - 65 x Star coins

408 plus 359 (if collected all in the 10 steps/levels) comes to 767 Star coins. we need 624 star coins for CR and givers which will leave 143 star coins doing the event one time... so make room if you wish and do it 2 or 3 times....

I tested a 7 hour crop on my farm, and I got

5 Hr 36 Min with Water
6 Hr 18 Min with Manure
5 Hr 3 Min with Water and Manure
2 Hr 1 Min with Water, Manure, & SG

Those are with no Buffs, so if you use SG with White Innocense or Fruit Cake, or both your time will be much better.

 

According to the Hungarian forum we need 196 straight pipes and 208 bent pipes for the 10 perfect levels.

Straight pipes: 196 x 22 x crops & 2 x drops= 4,312 crops & 392 drops
Bent pipes: 208 x 28 x crops & 3 x drops= 5,824 crops & 624 drops

Total event crops: 10,136
Total drops: 1,016
