ok so just to get this straight if you use PF for the whole event then you wont need event crops OR drops??

does melon magic work? it says the event crop is categorised as "others"

 

@FarmerDelight my gut feeling would be no. I bet it's categorized as "event" during and will switch to "other" once the event ends. They don't usually give any loopholes on event growing times. In fact I would not be surprised to find the PF feature disabled during the event. I have no knowledge of this I'm just saying it wouldn't surprise me.

 

I'm definitely in!!!! This is a fun way to receive a new animal & production pen!!!

Marlymar, if you use PF for the stables and workshops I don't think you will need crops or drops for that. However for Lv 1 and the 3rd step in the final level you do need Nettles, 2150 for Lv 1 and 1600 for the last step. I'm def going for this one Good Luck to everyone!! The melon magic doesn't work for event crops.

 

The only way to find out is to Ask a Mod or hold your breath and wait to see whether we can use PF for those steps in lieu of growing the event crop.

thank you Julie and Banjoman I appreciate your help I asked a mod and we CAN use PF I'm definitely in too I cant wait to get the lynx stables and workshops I'm not really worried about the worksop upgrades but ill do all that I can

 

I am going to use my Menagerie for 4 x Lynx Stalls, Plus Manufactory for 2 x Candy Factory. As it is confirmed we can use PF on Lynx Stalls

 

Yup, fully paid up member of that FOCD Club!

I know what you're saying is good sense, Banjoman, but I have so much going on that I only want to dedicate one field to crops - I will squeeze the Lynx Stalls and Candy Factories in with my Truffle Farms so without having too much disruption I can complete this event and continue with my other projects.

An extra plus, I could make about 10 PFs during the event time so, in theory - cos I am alternating building up animal feed and doing PF in my mills - plus the 4 PF - - we get as a prize, I am only using 23 PFs.

That's my strategy and I'm sticking to it!

The only problem is (if you can call it that!) I won the +200% harvest this morning and I keep dropping PF on animals I need for FSQs. How can I stop this blatant overuse and abuse of PF!

 

When you run out

It may not seem like much PF but I will have to save my PF for the breeding event as it usually requires a lot. My poor lynx won't get that premium feed but will have to wait for the crops.

 

I haven't got a lot of PF either Pups but I have to say that, if recent breeding events are anything to go by, I won't have enough anyway so I may as well use it (well, not all of it of course - that would completely irresponsible!) and profit from my +200% harvest win!
I now suffer from BOA-P - Blatant Overuse and Abuse of Powerfeed!

 

I can understand the temptation with 200% harvest bonus and would likely do the same

 

LOL Pups - missed this first time round!

I know that the last couple of breeding events were a little disappointing for me. My own fault, I've been feeding those Slime Monsters PF so that I don't have to use the spooky tree fruit (I forget which one) so I can advance a bit further in another FSQ! Some of these later FSQs are pretty demanding!

As Julie pointed out earlier melon magic does not work on the nettles yet, when I seen FAQs yesterday I thought hmmmmm I just wonder if it does work as its states nettles are in the 'other' category but not yet until after event ah well

 

I got 181 drops from my initial harvest Excellent idea putting lynxes and candy factories in menageries, mooboy!! That was a big "DUH!! Why didn't I think of that?" moment I noticed there is no SOS thread.

 

I got exactly one hundred less than you Julie! Though to be fair, 4 of those were gifts from my neighours! Thank you farming friends!

I am absolutely loving my Farm-wheel prize! If I don't mess up - and that's always a possibility - I will finish my first 12 lynxes and need only one more harvest of Nettles by the end of my farming day. I will finish everything by tomorrow. I forgot initially that I would get three lynxes with one PF - so I will finish this event without needing even ONE drop and not one second of milling!
PF count for the event: 14 less 4 (event prize) = 10 PF! Result!

Please do not send any Fish Biscuits to me - I won't need them. Send them to someone in need.

 

WOOOO HOOOO!!!! Farmlily3 and I are both IN on this one!! (We're having a snow storm for the next day or two and everything is shut down, possibly for some of the weekend, too.! Grrreat time for some hot chocolate w/marshmallows; a warm blanket; and FOCD!!)...and No...FOCD isn't curable - just controllable...mostly!
