Does character 1 also have to leveled up to level 12 to get the giver for the CR

Trying to help you there. No need to do the chart 12 times!
To get to 12 steps for a level you'll need to donate 6 times when using option 1 and/or option 2 (both give 2 steps per donation) OR you'll need to donate 4 times using option 3 (gives 3 steps per donation). That is without using the optional Bday Treat.
Also, there are 12 levels per character but not all need to be completed. See my post on page 1 for an example of how to get to the CR and its givers.

I surely agree... an awefull lot of donations have to be made for joining the party.

@-Niknar- No, only character 3 needs to be at level 12 (to get the last giver item for CR). Character 1, level 12 rewards a Buff.

 

FAQ say's that the CR requires 5 givers including Blind Piñata’s Buff

 

Thank you so very much. No i didn't mean anything i said in my post.. you did help me out and this last post helped me even more with the steps... I got to go back and reread FAQ. As what got me with that BIG picture I posted is , i didn't see anything that said them was options... when we get charts like that.. that is what it says - we do- and get... But for some reason i must have missed somewhere in that FAQ that talks about options.and that chart is supposed to be a GUIDE ONLY..lol I read it a few times and STILL i am missing something to make this clear...lol

Correction.. no your last post did help me out 100 percent... its just the FAQ threw me off somewhere......and that's what i went by.. but by what i have below, the chart is wrong...completely.. even if you donated the crops listed. So i hope you forgive me as I went by the chart as i always do.. so i can make sure i have enough of whats needed.. I then read FAQ again to see if i am missing anything.. then I come here and go back and forth till i get it or make a post asking help...lol

Underneath you can see which treats you can deliver for leveling up the character. Each level has 3 certain requirements in pre-determined amounts. You can choose to donate any of these 3 required goods, you can choose to donate only one of them multiple times, or a combination of all of them - as you prefer. To donate, you must click on the button with the requirement's icon:


Careful! Two of the requirements will help you advance 2 steps in the progress bar, and one of them helps you advance 3 steps! Placing your mouse over the requirement will highlight the steps you will advance in the progress bar.

After reading the requirements again and mulling over a plan for the farms, my strategy will include 8 jars of CAC Puppy paws crossed I have it in stock and won't have to craft it

 

wow this is seeming so confusing I hope it straightens itself out when event starts ill have to wait until then to decide if I'm going to be able to even do it thank you everybody for all the strategies and crunching numbers

 

Well in the year Ive been playing Ive never seen such a discussed event than this.

Must thank those who have crunched numbers, all I can see is numbers everywhere and my barn securing itself with a closed sign on it saying back open on 1st February, in meantime please fill back up.

Im sure confused will start growing event crops as usual and see how it goes. this was supposed to be a party, one thing that is the same as a party and for those old enough to partake is a strong drink to help with event

Just because I'm a bit daffy & a bit dilly here is my take on this event after many readings of FAQ & using fingers, toes, abacus, calculator & computer as well as paper & pencil

To complete each event character takes 144 steps, (12 steps x 12 levels) 1/2 takes barn crops & 1/2 event crops. If you use request #1 or #2 you will go 2 steps per donation, if request #3 is used 3 steps per donation. Fewest number of donations would be request #3 four times per level times six levels or 24 donation of each crop type! 48 donations per event character, 24 barn crops & 24 event crops. (Did not include the use of any "candies" to reduce number of needed donations).

Indy Cat: 7200 Orchids (24 x 300 per donation) & 5280 Lollipops (24 x 220 per donation)
Viking Maiden Ingrid: 4800 Peas (24 x 200) & 7920 Balloon Blooms (24 x 330)
Inspector Mouseau: 7200 Hops (24 x 300) & 5280 Paper Flowers (24 x 220)
Pilot Suzy: 4800 Peppermint (24 x 200) & 7920 Pinatunias (24 x 330)

This is ONE path to complete event, there are many, many, many more depending on your barn & how often you harvest!
This one just assumes fewest donations means lowest number of crops needed. I have not done necessary mathematics to prove my theory. Good news no drops required, so no need to worry about drop rat! And no milling, so just grow & throw!

If your doing FSQ along with event, Only 1 TIMED step can be done at a time!!! So either tree fruit or workshops, not both.
Also Magical Glade gives extra 10% EP for stables & 5% EP for trees.

Hmmm, interesting reads of Posting here. As it does seem a bit confusing with the FAQ info, That gives us three options of Request 1,2 or 3 to donate to each of the Four Characters.

After a through read of FAQ. Plus need to point out Crate 0 Pinata Sale runs from 24th to 29th Jan 2018. It costs 3 BB per Pinata Crate (But we can win a Blind Pinata Buff's Giver, if you get lucky, then you would only need to complete All four Characters to level 9, which is needed to unlock the Cloud Row

You can also gain a chance to win additional Pinata Egg Pet as well as completing 3 Characters to level 7, plus additional stock of event crops, plus additional givers. Plus win some birthday treats, which will help donate lessor amount of Event Crops or Barn Crops Requirements as you progress to next level of that character Be warned Birthday Treats only works on Character of that level before get upgraded to next Character level

My Strategy is really simple. I am going to stick to donate Request 3 for All 4 Characters at all 12 Levels. Firstly will need to nuke or gain event crops from Pinata Crates enough so we can fill all 5 Fields of 1 x 1 of Each Event Crop, Which is roughly will reap 2880 per harvest using CAC Buff.

All four event crops are needed for Request 3

• 5280 Lollipops (7 Hour Crop)
• 7920 Balloon Blooms (5 Hour Crop)
• 5280 Paper Flowers (8 Hour Crop)
• 7920 Pinatunians (6 Hour Crop)

Request 3 only requires - Orchids,Peas,Hops and Peppermints

• 7200 Orchids
• 4800 Peas
• 7200 Hops
• 4800 Peppermints

On basis of Formula Character Progress Bar 4 Donations x 3 Bars (xxxx Barn Crop/Event Crop) As we need 12 Bars for Each Character Level

As for Prize of Nostalgia Film Giver we simply only need to do:

• Level 1 - Silver
• Level 2 - Silver
• Level 3 - Silver
• Level 4 - Silver
• Level 5 - Silver*
• Level 6 - Silver*
• Level 6 - Gold*
• Level 6 - Diamond*

* Caution to the wind, these steps of Level 5 and 6 are Timed Steps
The Crate of winners there 6 Crates to unlock, so our objective is to level All 4 Characters as fast as we can

You can do this event any way you like as there are several options to choose farm Good Luck have fun with this event

I got up this morning grabbed my coffee and read the event FAQ. I was way too confuzzled to make heads or tails out of it. Thanks everyone who sorted it out and started the thread.

I think I will skip the FSQ. This event will be tough enough. Have way too many crops too possibly grow for CR.
Wish I could make CAC!

 

Good thing I will be completely sober during BP's 8th Birthday Party! It will take good planning and execution to get through all these steps without an oops here or there.
At the on-set of event opening, I will try to grow necessary items to get all "party animals" past step 1 and then start again at step 2. I will probably buy a few Birthday Treats. (It's my gift to BP) Who comes to a Birthday Party without a gift?

I'll forgo the treats, but may cave for the Crate O' Pinata sale , at least a few of them anyway. Really want that pinata pet, lol. Trying to avoid my farm, temptation to harvest is almost overwhelming (must...not...click...must...not...click )

 

Thanks to all for the discussion and number crunching! Just got on the forum after a bizarre work day and was feeling hopelessly befuddled by this event.

I will also skip buying treats. The CR seems doable for me. Looks like I will have to be extra careful with the timed sections (eat chocolate and drink tea to stay alert)!

Another Ripper. But if you got plenty of one type of crop then concentrate on the event perturbias or whatever they are and get it done.
Thats my plan.. but no drops? strange. after last event when I got killed by them maybe they thought better of presenting them here.
This is a test of time management to get everything grown. I've all the normal stuff ready. I guess I won't be needing the foxtail this time.
Those spoiler lists hurt to look at them...tone it down guys.

 

Sorry to add to the confuzzbemuzzlement,

But......... If Ive read FAQs correctly and more importantly I understand them right, which is the debateable part.

On each level up or donation the number of steps, be it 2 or 3 changes for each round/level up.

Does that mean #1 donation could be 3 steps on 1st donation then 2 steps on next donation.

Please advise and I apologise if Im wrong and I hope you understand what I mean, as it does say choice wisely and hover mouse. which is a problem for me as I use a tablet and that part is unavailable !!!!!!
