I would not splurge 8 BB or each Birthday Treat as you can gain 1x/2x/3x or 5x from Crate O Pinata costing only 3 BB each I will have several goes at it finger cross get some decent useful stuff that will help with this event, plus some additional givers or pet

I would suggest to stick to doing Request 3 do not mix up doing Request 1,2 or 3 or combination of these quests as you end up needing to grow more event crops or farm crops.

Me and AnnTAngel has come to the same conclusion of requirements needed. Habalala your Calculations is still off, I know you are doing your upmost best to get it right

Brookeham i would splurge some BB on Pinata O Crates rather than Birthday Treats as i too treat myself to celebrate along side Farmerama on it 8th Birthday

 

Yes phoenixboy12, we can donate any combo of the 3 different Requests of crops or event crops (depending on what the level is asking for)... as long as our end result ends up fulfilling the total requirement of the 12 finished steps it takes to complete each level. Be careful not to over donate tho, the extras just go poof and do not carry over to the next level or next animal!

Edit... The dark columns (Request 3 of all levels) move us forward 3 steps, Requests 1 and 2 only move us 2 steps at a time.

Thanks for my daily buy of seed from seed shop.. Hop is not a problem of me
as I had over 20000 of it. I had not grow hop for a long time except it is need
in a event like this time.
Actually, all 4 crop is not problem, had all the required qty.. only a little tight on
peppermint as I had only 9000 of it. I may consider to spread my daily buy from
seed shop to full page 3. Or to all crop cost below @100cc !
For the short-timed quest, I hate those tree time quest as I need to buy alot of trees
to di the quest, Even I like the prizes, may be let see how my event crop doing.
Being a high level mixed type farmer. I will not torn my field for full crop growing
unless I got great motive to do it. Neither this event nor the shirt-timed quest is
good enough to attract me

 

I activated cloud row for higher drop rate for baha & harvested baha farm first. I found I got no drops. Then went to see the FAQ, no mention of drops their either. Might be I missed it in hurry in the FAQ. So came right here to see the event requirements & went through LDCrow's post. No mention of drops their either. Had a good laugh at myself. .

So instead of chasing drops I will chase CCs in marketing.

I just got seeds but a lot of them were lollipop! Open your crate prior to planting would be my suggestion!

Pffft, the animals only progress 1 level at a time, and are locked when the level is completed until all 4 animals have leveled up . I wanted to dump all my hoarded crops into the animals that need crops from my barn

Woops, I was wrong... once you level an animal up, it will lock until you have any of the 3 Requirements it asks for... and in my case it was event crops I lacked, which I just harvested and now the animals are unlocked again. My bad, time for high octane coffee

 

@MizSeekerNC you can just look at your seeds they will show up in the regular chart.

I got a birthday treat and seeds (275 paper flowers! ). I did not however remember to open it prior planting so will have to wait to use them.

 

Yep, a lot of this game is about time management. And when it comes to RL... multitasking. Based on some of my posts from yesterday... evidence multitasking's never been my strong suite.
I'm beyond confuzzled after yesterdays orange box debacle and other RL demands, color me brain dead...

I'm not going to be spending money on the game, as usual, I need to spend it on the rest of the fire cleanup from 2.5 y ago and improving the house/property.

As someone else already mentioned I'm using the Tropical fields to do the Pinata event until my Main fields are done with the other event.

Sorry dafodily, I misspoke when I was referring to Jazac's Post #34.
Again referring to the chart pictured there which is from the FAQ for Catsylvania Jones requests...

I was wrong about the steps, as someone else pointed out R1 & R2 move us two steps (pretty sure we had an event where it was 1, 2, 3 steps). R3 moves us three steps.

Also referring to the same chart...
I worked out these numbers assuming one does NOT use any buffs on the crops...
Assuming 200 small plots and CAC in use... 200 * 6 -200 for reseeding = a net of 600 event crops per field

For R1 & R2 we need 330 of event crop * 6 donations (2 steps each) for each level = 1980 event crops per level
1980 / 600 = 3.3 harvests * 5h for the shorter of the two crops = 20h for one level using ONE field

For R3 we need 220 of event crop * 4 donations (3 steps each) for each level = 880 event crops per level
880 /600 = 1.467 harvest * 7h = 14h for one level using ONE field

Therefore, it's faster to use lollipops for that character. It's also more practical to use manure, if one chooses, to speed up the longer event crops.

So four donations of lollipops and... either 6 donations of R1/R2 or 4 donation of R3 regular crops. As far as Catsylvania is concerned it will still be sunflowers for me on regular crops since I frequently grow them while nuking event crops.

If I have time I'll work out the same numbers for the other characters while I'm nuking the starter crops.


Meanwhile... As far as the mini-event / short-timed timed event... lol aka Farm Nostalgia
I did manage to...
L1s -- I'm short of some of those crops for the other challenges, but they are quick to grow
L2s,g,d -- it was a little more than 1,000 carnations
L3s, -- had enough for silver, I'll do the rest later
L4s,g,d -- a little more than 150 parrot feathers
L5s -- done, next harvest in 19h
L6s -- planted the pens late, another 5h before they are ready


For anyone that has trouble with timed quests...
Someone else posted this on the old forum. Sorry I can't remember their name to give them credit.

Put all the required pens/trees/crops out. After they are ready to harvest... then start the timer. I could afford to spend my imaginary money on buying the 75+ trees I needed. I feel it's worth it and they can be donated to that tree event I can't remember the name for.

So for this... as already mentioned L5s asked for 200 tree fruit. 200 /4 fruit per tree = 50 trees
OR for L5s there is enough time to harvest twice so 25 trees
The other two levels do not have enough time to harvest twice, except apples, so if you really want to do it spend the money and buy the 100 trees. Finish this FSQ as quickly as possible and free up the land for the Pinata event.
For L6... one of my farms has two goat milk trees * 2 = 4 units of milk so I had to put 6 dairy's out to get it done quickly. That meant building some new dairy's. Etc...
I should be able to finish the "Farm Nostalgia" early the third day if I don't goof up. lol Then I'll clear things out for the Pinata event.

don't forget to use Suzy's supergrow on your goat milk tress it will increase your harvest to 4per tree and in the end you only need 2 pens to put out.

OF COURSE IF YOU'RE USING TWO FIELDS YOU TIME WILL BE CUT IN HALF, THREE FIELDS... THIRDS, ETC

R1 & R2 -- 220 of lollipops, the shorter time of the choices *6 donations = 1320 /600= 2.2 harvest for ONE fields *7h= 21h
R3 -- 330 * 4 donations = 1320 /600= 2.2 harvests for ONE field * 5h= 15h

Inspector Mouseau:
R1 -- 330 pinatatunia * 6 donations = 1980 /600= 3.3 harvests for ONE field * 6h = 24h
R2 -- 220 lollipop * 6 donations = 1320 /600 = 2.2 harvests for ONE field * 7h= 21h
R3 -- 220 Paper flower * 4 donation = 880 /600 = 1.467 harvest for ONE field * 8h = 16h

Pilot Suzy:
R1 -- 220 Paper flower * 6 = 1320 /600 = 2.2 harvests for ONE field * 8h= 18h

Congrats, joan, can't say I'm not jealous, but happy dancing for you! After spending way too many BBs on crates, got 2 of the givers, several birthday treats, and many seeds, but no pet . So I redeemed enough movie points for 100 BBs, and blew 99 on crates . Still no pet. Ended up with 12 birthday treats tho, so will save those 'til later in the event. Okay, need to iron my shirt, and get ready to leave for dentist. Fields aren't in any way organized, planted seeds willy nilly as I got them, lol, but that's okay, will get them organized tonight before bed. Until then, will just replant whatever finishes first (hate using my phone, but no way around it). Have a great day everyone!

 

yea I tried to buy a few of the 3bb crates and didn't get any pet so I said NOPE I'm done not going to waste all my bbs and not get any pet I have leveled up 2 of my friends to level 1 now I'm waiting on event crops to level up the other 2 good luck everybody

 

Does anyone know if there is a buff for reducing the growing time for normal farm trees? I've looked and couldn't find any. It's for doing the nostalgia quest, last one for products in 12 hours. I've only got one goat milk tree and with suzies mulch, it still takes over 12 hours to grow, same with egg trees. I'm thinking that I may need to put out actual workshops for this last quest. So much going on at the moment!!!

I think the mulch is it, but if you put suzie's super grow on it, it will give you 4 instead of 2.
