Carnival Queen strategy

I finished the CR even though I wasn't trying to. But I'm on leave, not at work. Would never have been able to finish if I was working.

The crops are gorgeous and I want them to stay!

 

Clock winding down, just a few hours left... . Waiting on one more harvest to mill my last 3 baskets. Didn't make it to 100 baskets on this farm, I'll finish off at 94 baskets (unless I catch any more free flower baskets), but my other farm ended it with 116 games played, 11 Sweetheart roses and 7 Star coins left over.

Still have less PF than I started with, but between the events, wheel spins and Calendar, all of the SG and SSG I used were recooped and everything else increased by at least a little. Nothing to happy dance about tho. Besides the EP and CC I'll get from all the candies FCs and SGs were the highest rewarded items.​

Feels weird not being absolutely exhausted and running on auto pilot from frantically trying to use up all my baskets with a ton more to go thru still at this point

 

Somehow I managed to play 127 mini games. The conversion of candies caught and leftovers provide me 125k CC and just over 2m EP. That's OK but all in all, CC and (T)EP from the mini games included, it's under 1/10th of rewards from the previous versions.

On the other hand, Bunny Love was basicly 100% free and provided very nice prizes along the way. I did quite some extra breeding, aiming for finishing FSQs and loved every extra medal which was given for each breeding. Now looking forward to the conversion of those .. I expect to get 13,5m EP and 13,5m TEP and 17m CC.

BOINK! That's more the way I like it.

With another Valentine Event on its way, despite the Queen disappointment, it might be a lovely Farmerama Valentine Season afterall.

How in the world did you get so many leftover baskets, illy? That's amazing. I am waiting on one more basket drop, which I'll get in 15 minutes, to mill one last flower basket and have one last round of candy catching. Total rounds played then will be 109 here, 76 on bearbabe, and 50 on mini-me. I managed to get back maybe 2/3s of the SG I used between what I could buy with the star coins and the stingy amount caught. All PF caught was pure profit, as I only bred a little bit for personal goals (working towards a pink peanut butter factory, think it's going to be a while ), and I made it back with the rewards from bunny love, which I did all except the last step, mostly for free but did have to sacrifice a few mid-level breeders. Since I didn't have enough medals to cover the whole cost of that last level and didn't feel like giving up any more breeding animals, I chose to trade the givers during G&T for other items I wanted. To me, I just didn't feel that much loss from not getting that CR, and I don't have room for the givers, so might as well get something I wanted for them.

 

I finished the cloud row with a total of 72 extra baskets. *insert Happy Dance* Made two more, caught 6 PF, 10 SG and CCs, EP and TEP. Not sure how much I'll get back like habalala, but I made it. It felt good to hit the mark without having to buy the floral baskets. I had enough BBs and was prepared to since I only needed 2 games. For two baskets it is cheaper to buy premade floral baskets than to buy 100 drops.

 

I didn't get enough drops in time to make my very last basket, I was 8 short . So I ended up with left over drops and crops.
The carnival shop locked up with still 2 mins on the event timer to go (rush hour shopping!), and by the time I refreshed and my game loaded again the event was over lol. So I missed out on the last 2 offers of the free spins, with 22 star coins left over. Oh well, at least I caught 2 extra flower baskets that the pirate tossed at me and reaped a couple more goodies from those. Made it to 95 games on this farm... but it was like pulling teeth lol.
Now I'm off to calculate my candy, drop, crop and coin conversions

The first bonus gift from the Valentine's Calender is a +1 field crops for 48 hours. You may want to save it for the next event.

I was cranking out those baskets right up to the last 10 mins! Played 115 games with 543 roses, 19 baskets and 7 coins left. I haven't figured the conversion yet. Managed to get Bunny Love completed after I realized I had enough for all of it except the last step Yep, I was breeding in batches this morning collecting enough for that last step. I never breed outside of BBD so I have learned my lesson. Same kind of skips though even w/o BBD. Now to get ready for the next one!! Congrats to all !!

 

I have no idea Spots! I was working late on Friday, went out early on Saturday afternoon and didn't get back till late Sunday morning so had long crops growing where I would normally have had event crops ... Melons and Turnips must have done it for me!

My final left over basket tally was 831 as I continued to grow the Roses for as long as possible!

 

I Grew about 4000 to many Sweetheart Roses, instead grow crops that gave more baskets, as could have played more Mini Games. I did about 105 Mini Games. As i am happy to get lots of Star Coins.

As i am Happy to get fair amount of Farm Coins + 175 Farm Coins from Bunny Love i already brought lots of stuff from Shop - O - Rama. This time buying 200 Power Feeds for 300 Farm Coins. So i am able to top up my stock of Power Feeds for Breeding. The Biggest reward for completing a Breeding Quest is fair amount of power feeds and some BB too. But did not get some skips i was hoping for. It is not helping to have limited amount of Breeding Animals to buy in the markets, which does help save some Power Feeds

I did do some breeding outside of Baby Boom which i rarely do. Just to see if Skips are better outside of Baby Boom. I did get some skips not that many Plus i was short on Medals for Donations for Bunny Love as i not bothered with 2nd Cloud Row as my Classy Duck Dwelling has reap me loads of TEP compared to Cloud Row, not to mention Lobster Love Song, Froggy Saviour and Heart Throb all placed in my Shipwreck to take advantage of Cloud Row Buffs, Pets and Crafting Buffs. The biggest downside to Cloud Rows cannot take advantage of Buffs or Pets etc

As i do rearrange Givers in Shipwreck that gives more ep take out the lower ep givers, which i place into my park if i can. Some events only give enough givers for Cloud Row. It is a Bonus to get extra Givers for Shiipwreck what i love about this givers that they give X times your farm level. So the higher level you get the more you get out of them, Compared to givers that gives a fix amount of EP/TEP

The Monkey Queen was not that great as it was hyped to be in two previous events At least got some decent stuff, perhaps it us trying to get too greedy lol

 

Unless that's changed over the years, Baby Boom doesn't increase the chances of skips, only the chance of extra animals.

I thought the event ended at 14 CET, so I didn't plant event crop yesterday. Ended up with a lot of extra baskets. But I'm happy. Not the best event, but a good one. Looking forward for the candy exchange

 

My hat is off to you all who have managed to capture all the data from your carnival queen wins. How did you do that?

Huh??? I'm all crossed up here I think, or I missed something... I thought the better skips were the whole reason most seasoned farmers specifically breed only during the BBDs??? If it isn't the BBD that gives us better skips, then which Rune is it? Don't ppl always gripe when skips are pretty much non-existent during BBDs?

From Baby Boom FAQ: "During this time, all breedings harvested during the Event, should give TWINS.
This means that you'll get the animal you were supposed to get
PLUS a random coloured animal OR 2 normal animals."

Skips for me is I breed a base animal and instead of getting the next animal in line (l1 if you'd like) I get a higher level of animal. In case there's some confusion what I call a skip and you call a skip.


So I breed to get more animals from my powerfeed. Ideally the super pheromone should have given me a higher than a L2 skip from a base animal, but since the chances are so small - I'll skip that

Then we define it differently, I see it as an extra animal, and if it is 2 levels higher than what I put it, then it's a skip. The chance of getting an extra animal on BBD is 100% (so higher than normal), but the chance of that animal to be at least two level higher isn't any higher than the normal when you achieve an extra animal.
So the chance of getting a skip is the same, but you have more oppertunities to achieve that skip.

Normally when I breed plain sheep I end up with 2 brownies, for me that's not a skip. But hey ho, it's all over now

 

Yes, we do define (and understand) it differently, but that's perfectly ok .

And yes, the event is over, but there will always be more BBDs coming, so this is still considered strategy, especially considering the Bunny Love breeding event and Carnival event ran together and there was no Bunny Love strategy thread ever started? I don't think the Mods will care all that much... but if they do, MODS, my apologies, and please feel free to delete my posts
