The Big Swirl strategy

My paddle count after harvesting all fields with event crops, magic trees and menagerie (and drops from neighbors) is 535. Have just added my baha menagerie and arboretum to the mix to see if I can add a few more drops.

In case it might be helpful to anyone, my night crops are rose hips (using aroma of love, mandrake powder, water and manure to speed up) and bitter ginger (using magic potion and water to speed up). This will enable me to harvest all crops in 12 hours - before leaving for RL work tomorrow. After that my plan is to stick with water only, as I will (hopefully) be slightly over the halfway point on drops.

Just done my morning harvest and have 672 drop items and the first full day is not even finished yet! I am using 722 1x1 fields with either raspberry or foxtail millet on 279 of them.
Won 100% harvest for 24 hours so am a happy Bunny.

Ok 1 Day into event and I am half way to the CR.. Spelt for me gives the same as carnations.. So with giving paddles away for the 10 steps I still have 300 enough for 4 more steps when the event crops gets ready.. Other words I should be at step 14 in about 7 hours... if i didn't mess up...lol

Now I got to reload my game for MM event...

 

Im curious as to what is Harvest Hoedown?

 

There is usually an annual event in the autumn when there is a contest to see who can reach the Top 3,000, Top 2,000 and/or Top 1000. The event is different every year but a major part of it to achieve a place in the Top X is to donate tons of produce, of which fruit is usually acceptable.
Farmers start saving from the end of the Harvest Hoedown (or similar titled event) in readiness for the next year's event.

 

Spots you're right in most things but to do instant carnations you only need the SG Love refinement. With that refinement active, together with the Chestnut CR, fruit cake and white innocence, carnations in comfort fields are ready the very second you apply SG

With 88 h to go I have more than half the crops in the barn (2 consecutive days with +100% harvest, yeeah) and 898 paddles. Relying on my refined raspberries for drops as always. This looks to be a nice and comfortable ride.

Congrats, hatzeva, 2 days in a row, I'm really jealous! Thank you for the correction, I just listed the refinements I have active, lol. I figured if it wasn't absolutely necessary, it wouldn't hurt. On step 12 here, so far so good, may do a round or 2 with all fields event crops since for once I'm waiting on crops instead of drops. Will be a while tho, I just turned 100 and am growing marguerite on 1 field . *happy dances thru the flowers*

 

I am on step 16... I am hoping to be done with this event on Sunday.. Monday morning at the latest... we shall see. Good luck to everyone else..

1.5 days in? I am at 525 paddles. Not really on target with the needed drops. May get a harvest in late tonight for some crops. I do have a field of carnation that should be good to go in a couple of hours. Going to keep it as carnations.

MM - I all ready goofed. I need some more ghosts. So I started with those rather than the event crops. Was excited - I can harvest in under an hour with the SG. Then I realized I planted bonetrees not ghosts.

Well i see you have your 390 drops for ten steps with 135 for your step 12... if you have the crops that is... So if you say your off on drops... you not off by much.. I think you will make it... May be close.. but you should do ok.. a full field of carnations netted me like 50. I do wish you luck... drops can be super funny when it comes to BP with all these events back to back.

Ok me going to go and hide... littletinybit already messed up.... This is catchable people... please run to your farms for a few hours or even a day... Someone else is next

 

Using 4 fields for the event crop and 2 fields for long timed crops from the start, I now landed on spot 18. My farm needs 3352 more event crops and 534 more paddles to finish. I'm confident it can be done in the remaining 2.5 days, thanks to having 6 fields available for the event. Soon enough all 6 fields on my farm will be filled with long(er) timed crops and/or pens to do the drop-trick without the use of any manure (selling at 3000 CC in my market), SG or SSG.

515 drops with 44 hrs left and the CR will be mine Left my crystal falls with their odd timed trees plus 12 hr ones I need built up. I would just like to say how helpful those daily gifts can be so please be good neighbors to each other and to those in need It doesn't matter what level a player is at, they can still struggle from time to time Good luck to all and have fun!! I love how that ship moves in the water!

I had 57 Canvas Grass leftover.

 

41 hours left, 1005 drops still needed. Will I make it? Not so sure. Honeydews in baha, roses during the day/carnations overnight on main till event is finished; timer set for each harvest so there's no idle time between. Fingers crossed!
