Feedback Bugs Unleashed

The bugs scattering all over the page are doing my head in. On April Fool's day I get it - to keep it going past the date with no way to turn it off is horrendous. Many people have serious issues with bugs (phobias etc.) and that must be really horrendous for them. Personally, my computer is actually unable to keep up with the constant graphics of the scattering bugs and the game is actually slowing down because of it. It might have been funny on April 1 (hint: it wasn't actually that funny then either), but it's just plain awful now.

 

The bugs scattering everywhere was fun - for a day. The upside down farm elements was fun - for a day. The cute emails were fun for one or two - but 20 took it a bit too far. For me, the whole event has been cute for a bit, but then aggravating every time after.

 

I'm very tired of the bugs scattering every pop up I hate that so can we please have an end to this? Very angry

 

This event is now becoming childish and boring.
April fools is only for one day not for 4.
The initial suprise was good, that has has long gone.
I cant even donate animals to FSQs
Need to do much better BP

 

I'm enjoying the pranks and fun things about the event.
I finished growing the crops yesterday morning.

Crops all grown but desperate for drops, with 30 hours to go I need drops to complete the last 12 levels.

Lag Lag Lag ... constantly refreshing and clearing everything is getting really ANNOYING
Seriously if you can't have multiple events like this going on without making us suffer thru this much aggravation over the horrid degree of game lag, take it down a notch. This is beyond ridiculous

 

I don't care about the fake bugs....but I do care that my swatting the bugs aren't always counting....I had 28/60 and 2 swatters...used one got my prize which was a bug and the next swatter didn't register - it sits at 29/60...how many times that has happened, I don't know - but just once is too many...that is at least 225 crops and 4 hrs wasted...there was a lot of work that went into creating this event but not even half way through and only one more day to get it done ...

 

i dont mind this event but dont like Chris Gs messages, I keep thinking a chickadee needs help. I wont finish the event, just getting a few goodies. Easter was busy here there and everywhere and I couldnt grow enough crops or get sufficient drops. However real life is more important. I dont like the crop, its one I dont want kept in the game! Good effort on everything else BP.

 

I love,love, love the Event!! Especially that we had no Event Fqs. Thanks Moraine for providing just that!

Don't know if etiquette requires me to add to my original post or if I can start a new one??
So, ok I finally found something in this April Fools that I Don't like... it's one thing to *Otto O* all the names in the market (i feel because to me the best price matters not who is selling) BUT it's a whole other thing to *Otto O* my friends list
I had to take a shot in the dark as to where my friends fell on the list and I could not see who gifted me. It will take me a little while to get more swatters and I don't think it will happen before the new gifting time arrives.

Other than that I've been enjoying this event as always I will not finish but that's ok it's due to time constraints.

 

You guys and gals that have a problem with the pranks can turn them OFF, there have been numerous posts about how clicking on the large bug with the red circle with a line thru it on the bottom the event's progress bar will change your game back to normal

 

If those bugs appear once per day, or once per login, I really wouldn't mind, but with every splash screen ...
After some time it gets tedious and annoying. Moreover, the way they are force fed even on those players who (from any given reason don't participate in the event) is a bit stupid move.
Personally, I would appreciated that such pranks can either be turned off, or tuned down.

I enjoyed this event. I do think the bug effect should have been able to be turned off, as were the other effects. And I agree that the lag that appears for some players, during all multiple events, needs to be addressed. But I thought the fact that just about every aspect of this event made fun of some of the "bugs" that have appeared over the last while, or showed that the mods really do listen to us - like the use of "droprat" which was someone's forum typo a long time ago - I thought it was precious. I don't know why people are having such trouble with drops - I kept half of my fields still in trees and pens, and planted event crops overnight, and I still have far more drops that crops to use with them. I was going to say that it was so NICE to have an event where I could do that, and still keep up. Usually there is so much strategizing. Maybe event plants gave MORE drops than long crops, which would explain that? I don't know. I only know that I loved the relaxed approach I was able to have, with GREAT prizes and some humour along the way.

 

I strongly agree with others on this that we should least be able to turn the bugs completely off after the first 24 hours.. Some people are just plain scared of bugs.. I DON'T like them.. at first I thought it was cool till i saw what they was.. and then oh my back...lol Luckly this is just a game and they was NOT real.. But honestly that is NOT the POINT of it. Wasn't till later that I too started to lag from this event.

At first all was good.. I got used to the bugs.. drops seemed good.. Least to me.. Was to worried about the other event to worry about this one. Now that the other has ended..this one in a few hours. I been getting lags from this event.. I see that the drop rate must have been changed.. as getting drops now is very hard for me.

I am hoping to finish this. But not looking good yet... I enjoyed the event. I love how things had changed during the game while swatting bugs. Others didn't. Least you gave us a way to turn that off. The bug thing for every thing we did was to much after first 24 hours.. Please allow us to turn them off.. No matter what crawls on the screen as some people don't have the best computers and browsers to deal with all that stuff... But for others it would be nice to leave on..

You always have to remember BP there will always be 2 kinds of players here.. One who likes this stuff and one who don't. So always add a on/off switch please. If its for holidays like April fools then please after 24 hours let the button be there for all who wishes to use the right to turn it off. Thank you.

 

I loved the Bugs. Don't get me wrong, in RL if they're scootin' my way I'm squeelin' and runnin', but I had a good time with this SURPRISE style event. I will miss the lovely drawings cluttering my in box from Chris G. He's an artist. I think it might have thrown a few farmers off because of the Holiday but its all in good fun. One of my favorite April Fools. Keep it twisted

 

I did not like the multiple messages from CHRIS G that had the same pictures. Receiving one message with a picture of a cat was fine but when I received 5 of the same cat it just became bothersome.

I did not like the one time that I had the harvester running and the Bugs made me harvest them by hand anyway.

I did not like that I could not finish the event without tearing up all of my fields -- I left one to work on quests. With all of the back to back events it makes it difficult to provide crops for the event, keep inventory and also work on open quests. I wanted to get the stables but I left one field for the quests and this made it so that I could not grow enough crops. Some of us have excess funds to purchase baskets, SG, etc. while others don't.

I liked the prizes.

I liked the progress bar.

 

I liked everything about this event! The prizes were amazing. I laughed so hard threw all of it, best April Fools ever! BUT my new friend Mr Chris G. I am afraid I will have to unfriend you now. Much enjoyment in this as I was always waiting to see what would happen next! My fav. was the droprat! Too funny well done BP. Thank you

 

Normally this is the case. Unfortunately with this event, whilst some pranks could be turned off, there was no function to turn off the bugs that scattered across the page with every click. This is the issue that people have - not that the prank existed, but that it was a prank which negatively affected people's ability to play the game (both from a comfort point of view and a practical point of view) and could not be turned off.

Just to clarify... All pranks, except the scatter bugs COULD be turned off. So I wasn't talking about those silly little bugs in my post, I was addressing all of the OTHER complaints about all of the TEMPORARY event prank effects that COULD INDEED BE TURNED OFF. I was only trying to be helpful to any/all players who had not FULLY read the FAQ or other helpful threads that they could have gotten help/relief from .

(And btw, if you read this entire feedback thread, you will see that I was not all that happy about the bugs either, due to the lag they caused all week ).

 

Really liked this event. Unlike many other farmers I was able to ignore the bugs on every page click. There were some times when I'd read the forum where I'd have to go to my farm to check if they were still there as I would totally space them off. Loved all the different changes as we made progress on the event bar. I also appreciated the Droprat name/concept. lol that was a good one. I haven't been able to farm as many times in a day lately and I still didn't feel rushed in finishing this event. I do think the droprat for all events could be improved but do believe people's expectations to get enough drops by the second or third day of the event is inappropriate thinking.

Since I rarely post feedback I'll add one more comment regarding most events. I really don't understand the inflated numbers for event crops and drops, especially when we must mill these items. Since you insist on creating so many events, I think it would be easier on the farmers to reduce these numbers on event crops and drops so we could have a few days of regular farming for those who finish early and a chance for farmers who can't farmer multiple times a day to take part and enjoy the events. I just don't get this CONSTANT push with events and such large numbers.

I, for one, am getting closer and closer to giving up my farming life and moving back to real life. I can't farm without the harvester (as I would never spend that much time farming) and I also purchase the turbo mill. The last two months I purchased premium because the first month I thought it provided both the harvester and the turbo mill only to realize my mistake on the harvester. Because I had a bunch of trees out I purchased for a second month. I have two farms so I spend $42/month just to farm. Without premium it will be back to $36/month. Once in a while I purchase a few of the CR or pets. I just don't think I'm getting the FUN out of my money any more as this is more like a job than fun.
