Neon Event Strategy

Nice to be back on the farm again after a couple of days of involuntary absence. First time in 7.5 years I didn't (well I couldn't ) log in. My poor critters were gasping for water!

Did someone put together a list of the most cost-effective donations? I know in the past some real clever people made a step-by-step donation guide?

Mir would you? Please, please

 

I think I'm not doing this one. The donation amounts seem really high or I'm just not well stocked this time or a combination of both.

 

I am having pretty good luck with skips with the Baby Boom and had no way near the amount of mice that everyone is discussing. Don't give up my fellow farmers! Haven't donated yet - but I am optimistic.

 

I had less than 2000 of each animal, CR is up and running. Thank you elRe for your great strategy. I even have critters to sell.

Wow did I blow thru a ton of PF to finish the Mouse and Bear donations OUCH, the skips were horrible on this farm . Done and dusted tho, 2 sets of Neon pens, got the CR up and running and grabbed the givers and some PF from the shop.

Other farm done and dusted this event too with some extra goodies in the barn. Luckily I had better skips over there... one super awesome one ... a Druid Bear from base level bears!

OMG!!! I have never used so much PF during a BB ever. I am not a numbers person. I'm always appreciative of all you number crunches. Your crunching gives me a rough idea of the needs of an event.

If I really understood these numbers, I would have stuck to my intuition to not do this Neon event.

Cats & Bears were OK, but the Mice - ee-gads. Lousey skips and it seemed to take 3 times as many items to fulfill each section.

I suffered through this by using almost 2000 PF. I used to remember when I could do any event like this with only 200 PF. BP is getting greedier and greedier. - GGGRRRR!

The CR is up and running.

 

I am doing this event on both farms, have the cloud row here, not yet on Sadie. I bought an extra bear giver and PF till I didn't have enough locks. What a PF burner. I have less than 500 PF on both farms. I haven't had that since I started doing breeding.

 

With around 2000PF on hand, I think I could try to do this event,
As the recent issued, So, I don’t come to read this thread, the worse is:
I forget to check the exchange rate of all 3 animals before I start to breed.
When I start to donate...
I shock on the high requirement compare to the low exchange rate.
So, even had use around 300PF already, I still decided to drop this event!
I think I may need to used over 1000 PF to get to finished if I don’t want to used
up all my cc on market (under circumstance that I could buy that level of color animals)

So, this is my 1st as well as my last post on this strategy thread..

I know the feeling; I went through 110 of each (660 PF) and haven't got adequate stock to especially since the bear and cat haven't been around all that long so I've no great amount of bred animals of those. My skips were bad had 22 in 330 breedings thats really bad. I haven't donated yet and I'm really leaning on not doing so. The neon pens would be great if it weren't for the huge values they set to donate for them. I bought more PF and if I threw caution to the wind it would end up 1000 or more just to get the bred animals going.
As I said in an earlier post I had 1700 of each barebones. I may just end up keeping the stock for Factory upgrades.

 

I am amazed that I have actually finished this event! At the startI had about 300 Mice, about 700 Cats and about 1200 Bears and not very many coloured animals. But I did have a large supply of PF - about 1200 plus a few from the events and compensations. I have 555 PF left so I didn't spend it all!
I enjoyed this, it was a challenge that I didn't think possible for me to complete - but I did! Wahoo!
No great skips - highest (from all base animals) was a Lab Mouse!

I have completed it too! I did not think it would be possible as I had 732 Bears,1553 cats, and 1327 mice and had some low level colored animals so I needed to breed and move things along. I did have lots of power feed as when rumors said a neon event was coming I started to stalk up and make PF, and I did it! Good luck to all who may be doing this event!

 

I almost have the animals I wanted for contributions - working on about 3 more. Lab mice.... The most challenging.
ltbit farm has the neon cat.

I started with a little over 1000 PF on both farms. Main farm has about 200 left. More on ltbit farm. ltbit had some higher level colored animals from previous events. Took me over a month to build up to that level. I am amazed that I used soo much. Don't recall using so much during a breeding event before.

Pausing for my last go when deluxe pheromones kick in. I figure since I have a bunch - (No idea how - guess from events) might as well see if they help. It cant hurt.

 

I'm out, I've burned over 500pf and don't have a single pen. I've always completed the neon pens...the is the first one I've failed at.

 

11298 is definitely a staggering amount of mice, if you were to only donate just the mouse and not breed the mouse onto next level mouse breeds.. However in my (partly paid) approach, I bred them and increased the EV costs per donations through higher level breeds.

I'll also confirm from my end of things it definitely took more than 2K PF, but I kept breeding for personal (quest) reasons... ...but 2k PF is about right, if you're starting from scratch with basic mouse, cat and bear. ...and to clarify, not 2k PF just on mouse breeds, 2k PF for all 3 animals total.. Moreover, I'll add from my 7 years of breeding Event experiences (time and resources), this was definitely the most PF costly Event yet, but I did finish this Event last night.

Time to start making Peacocks, Chameleons and Pandas...

I've gone through 2000PF and still do not have enough to finish this event. My skips are non-existent and I've not been able to get anything above an orange in colored animals. At this point I either have to buy more PF, give up all my animals or just call it a day.

I think I'm just going to call it a day. Does not seem worth it just for a couple of neons. I actually already have pink upgrades for each of these animals. Wish I had thought this through before I used up all my PF.

 

It was fairly painful but I did finish the event. I also used more PF than I ever have before, usually I do some other breeding as well but not this time. Not sure it was worth it but I do like the CR.

 

CR up and running on littletinybit farm. I used about 1000 PF. I did plan ahead on what animals I wanted to donate with and stopped when I reached the top levels then focused on the lower levels.

Figures - I now have enough GB to get papyrus. Fields are setup and ready for first three levels of the timed Crystal event though.
Opening up that field is better in the long run.

litbit farm has completed cats - working on bears and mice. Ran out of pheromones on this farm so taking longer to get results.

I thought deluxe pheromones started today - since it is tomorrow went ahead and finished.

Fairly painful. Almost have used 2000 PF and all I have is the bear and cat. Mouse will take a lot more. Skips, as usual, are nearly non existent. I have grown to hate breeding as the skips are so terrible for me. I have used all the second level animals to start working my way up to get the 3rd, 4th, fifth, and 6th to get the few at 7th level to start turning them in. After 2000 PF to only have a tiny amount of colored animals in any of the 3 left after trying to finish the event is ridiculous. I still have about 500 PF and between 500 and 1000 of the mice, cats and bears although only doing mice right now and trying to finish.

Skips being terrible is why I have never finished even 1 of the breeding FSQ either.

 

I just finished but the mice sure was a killer. Felt like I got bent over with them Really must make a comment in feedback about those. But I wasn't forced to do it except for the fact I must be a little crazy to throw everything at the mice part including the kitchen sink Now I have bred some more to try to build them and the bears up a little. The amount of power feed I've used has to be the most I've ever had to use ....... ever on any event. It's staggering and I'm afraid to harvest my breeding hotel in fear that yet again.... I've failed to have any beneficial skips .... on anything! I have OCD and my thirst to complete the event consumed me before I realized what was going on.... Big Point really has out done themselves this time. I think I may harvest my hotel and even if I don't get good skips... I may just stop and not do the rest. Yikes..... the horror of a partially completed event!! eeee gads! Congratulations and well done to those who have completed this event! My hats off to you !!
