I am on level 65 on the right side and level 3 on the left side so im doing pretty good I guess lol keep going you still have a lot of time left

 

19 tasks left on the right side. All of the 150 tasks should be done sometime tomorrow.

200% bonus for 12 hrs at the start and a bunch of SG really helped

Crop requirement is very high but the prizes are OK.

I am a long way off from finishing but feel that I can get the CR.

I am confident that I will have enough drops - it is the crops that are bothering me. I am only using two fields and am weighing up whether I really want to rip out my Crystal Falls ... again! I've probably left it too late now anyway ... so

Just checked out the prizes again and apart from PF, there is nothing that really tempts me so I will continue for as long as I can, grab what I can and be happy with my (nearly) newly acquired Octopus Pen!

 

I, too, have only been using 2 fields, but as my goal for this event was to complete all 150 steps, I ripped CF apart this morning. Drops are doing fine but crops are challenging. 2nd farm got a bonus early on and is ahead. I decided to do left side first for the 2 hummingbirds as the Octopus is part of wonder stables and is only a matter of time before it shows up on the farm.

Both farms have completed left side and working on right side. Pnp on step 19 and 2nd farm on 35. With 2 days left, it is still possible but going to be tight.

 

I am in the same situation with only two fields. I realized from the beginning that it probably wouldn't be enough to finish, but that I could get the cloud row. I think that'll have to be good enough for this event

 

I always stick to my guns to max out All fields when it comes to doing events. It is no easy feat to grow 27000 or so blue stars. As I like to make best use of my CAC as they don't come cheap now.

I know using two fields to grow Blue stars will have couple of down size, when some events Faq has high demand for event crops, such as this one. The downside is pressure to get remaining crops or possible loss idle time, not to mention every expensive manure too

My method paid off as I have completed all 150 tasks. I am now resume to normal farming on all three fields with two days ro spare .

The Octopus Pen only takes 5 hours to reap an Octopus without buffs. So I can make a start on Quests needing Octopus as they are selling for 200 K plus in my market Now waiting for for Wonder trees and stables what it will bring me

I'm just waiting for the last of my crops and I can complete this event So happy the octopus isn't a long-timed animal. I already have 1 but 2 would be great!! Congrats to those who have completed what they wanted to!! And for others, keep going!! You can still do it!!

 

I get what you are saying, and I agree it is the most effective and cost efficient way to do things. For me it is not worth it though. It is quite a lot of work to set up the magical glade and/or the crystal falls with the stables and trees the way I want it. If I had to do that almost every week I would enjoy playing farmerama a lot less. The way I do things now I reserve magical glade and crystal falls for pens and trees to work on long time goals, parallell with doing events on the other fields. Minimal preparation before events and no need to put everything back after events. The good thing is that I can complete almost every event this way. If the prizes are good and I can't complete the events without the extra fields, I will tear them up, but that happens only a couple of times a year. With this event I didn't think it was worth it and so I will most likely not finish, but I'm fine with that

 

I have all of the right side completed, and I did only to step #62 on the left side. That is as far as I want to go, I have the Octopus out
it is real cute! I also have the CR up and running and I got 2 extra givers that are out on Shipwreck bay! Congratulations to all

edit: Well I went back and finished the left side too! I had all the drops
so all I needed to do was grow some crops! No EOCD here!

WOW! Congratulations.

I am proud to say that there are better junkers here than I ever hope to be.
The farm_broke farm is just junking and junking and junks are everywhere.
Plenty of junkin-time left. The broke farm should have nearly 20 gazillion junks next harvest.
My strategy includes not even thinking about the pollution droppings.
The broke BAHA mill is only milling useful feed.
I'm finding that many event junkies have little in their barns to pay what the broke farm is asking for today.

Just being a Junker is exciting for me. I don't know if the broke farm will even bother to give anything to the event.

I just wish BEEPs would not forcefully buy all of my junks in the end. Not for sale.

I've been singing this song all week...

I've finished all 150 tasks on all three farms. Two farms got some extra harvest help off the party wheel. I too was trying to get a train ride or two. Main farm still doesn't have one but the other farms... pretty happy. Main farm has 7 heli rides now. lol. As usual I didn't buy any baskets, etc. I did use almost all of the three fields, 1x1s, CAC, some trees on the fringes...

You didn't mention what you were needing to finish. Hope you've made some progress and reach your goals. There is still some time. Keep in mind some ppl buy multiple baskets and use SG. I rarely do. If I do I try to remember to mention it so that players, like you, understand. I like to try to be more than halfway done before the event is half over. I also try to check on the thirds, 1/3 event over... more than 1/3 tasks done.

Being mix type farmer, it is a very hard desicion to clear all field for event crops.
So, I ignore the high demand of crops(over 27000 to finished all steps), still keep
all my trees and some animals stables & workshop.
This make me just got the octopus stable (yes, I finally done the 75 steps) time longer
than I expect. But It doesn’t matter, I still had 35 hrs. The left side look less stress!
Yes, the demand still alot, but the last setp’s prize is Hummingbird stable which I had two
already. My goal is try to get the CR, even fail is not a big deal, it really doesn’t matter.
Because, I don’t had any FOCD.

 

I always ignore the junks requirement. (A new strategy move will be worked this event)

The farmer_broke farm is still growin junks after junks everywhere.
It got the octopus. I don't like that thing now. Biiiiiiigg problem. My octopus doesn't have any legs.

Need to grow junks and do 4 - 5 more steps on the other side.

And I'll have another useless cloud row I'll forget to harvest.

Th life of a Prrrroooooooo fessional junker is rough.

Oh well, almost back to regular farming for the rest of the year.

When I spend money on the game it is for the charity events or PF. I would love to have the harvester subscription so that I could always have the harvesters running but it is priced too high.

I don't buy baskets for the events -- I put in lots of farming hours -- I bought a small basket once and it didn't do much good -- I think you have to buy at the very beginning of the event and also multiples or the largest basket for it to help.

I have been able to finish these types of events entirely in the past on all my farms. I just start out with 2x2s with SG and then switch to 1x1s with CAC. This time I didn't have enough HHCs so I used SG with comfort fields longer then normal (you get more from 1x1s w/CAC). I also had a 5 hour delay in starting.

It is not that I am lagging behind schedule it is just that I am way behind -- I still have the entire left side to do. I have made some progress so 2 of my farms should be able to get the Octopus but I am not sure of the 3rd yet. The CR is still on my wish list.

Taking into consideration the delay in starting and that I used comfort fields longer than normal; I still think that I should be further along based on past events of this type. I'm not sure if they raised the difficulty level or just the requirements.

I will have to check the left side to see if the lower level prizes are worth it because I doubt that I will get past the mid point on it. Also, will have to check if I will be able to get CR with time remaining.

I'm also wondering if all of my crops were credited to inventory because I seem to have an awful lot of excess drops in comparison. I have only been planting event crops since initial harvest. This farm currently has 587 drops in inventory.

End of Event:
7 hours left in this event and 2 farms have finished the Right Side (Octopus pen) and have started the left.

This farm is on the last step on the Right Side and should have enough crops with this harvest. Time for one more after that (don't want to use SG on 1x1s). I would like some more Hummingbirds but not in the cards for this farm.

Now that I have finished the Right Side and started on the Left I see that this event was completely doable with just 2 fields. I have CF opened but I left my pens on it until the end (since it wasn't opened for the previous events like this).

It would have been nice to have more HHCs and get a farmwheel harvest bonus but didn't get any.

The Left Side required fewer crops and the milled item are mostly towards the end so it is going a lot faster than the Right Side. 6 day event and it took me til the end to get to the halfway point on the Right Side. The Left Side took a couple of harvests.

No more harvests -- just short of CR. I would kick myself but I am just too tired.

 

I finished both sides. I didn't spend any money but I did win a 100% for 24 hour harvest buff and also a horter one. It made all the difference.

 

I also finished yesterday around 5 p.m. and had also won the 24 hr harvester 57 event crop to spare now to chip away at getting the last section of CF open

Hey everyone! Been busy this week so haven't let my FOCD kick in heavy. I didn't pay close attention to harvest times etc.
I do have the right side competed and the Octopus! That was my main goal. Working on Left side and CR. At step 37. Waiting on more crops..... Hopefully will get to harvest at lunch. Should be able to make CR.

 

Finished the event thanks to a 100% bonus.
Loved this event: no mini games and good prizes!
