I did my product homework. I have made a list of the least CCs per EV of course that is based on my market. I forget what market I am on and forget how to figure it out.

I found it interesting that the lowest cost per EV on then main farm are the easiest to make. (at least for me) I also find it interesting that so many of the Baha products have a low cost per EV. I am sure these phenomenons are part of the developers notorious plans. I just wish I understood these reasons better.

Miss Smarty Pants has to paint tomorrow so it may be a few days before I do the tree fruit. Plus, I'm going away from the keyboard next weekend so it may be even longer. Little Miss Smarty Pants is trying to have a RL.

Just for the record, dividing is not easy for me especially when I want to be accurate. It took over an hour to divide the products and there are twice as many trees. I already know the winner will be Apples.

We will see how the day and week go.

In regards to Spreadsheets... Yes we know Broke, that you do not approve the use of SS in preparation for HH.
A dear friend of mine, PnP adapted one from Mir which covers Tree Fruit for both the Main and Baha as well as Carnations, Roses and Parrot Feathers. And now I see the next angle that Broke takes is the CC per EV, Since the old 15/35/45 percent buy rate went out the door with the hyper-inflation of tree fruit prices. OK does anyone have an updated SS with the new information.
Broke... I know you don't like SS, but with all the numbers being flung around and all the turmoil I have in RL in regards to my spouses health. This game is a retreat and a refuge and I would like to keep it that way. I love the education but... Can we Keep It Simple Stupid (KISS). The last time I went for HH, as you warned, I went overboard and almost wrecked my farm from doing regular FSQs and safety stock for events. It may not be this year but next that I will try for HH.
So... Who's got a workable Spreadsheet with all of Broke's working Principles ? ( I love redundancy)

 

Banjo - LOL at the Spreadsheets. I knew that there had to be short cuts. I am a concepts gal - rote practices bores me to death. My death will be by lazy-sickness.

New subject: How do we determine what market we are on? The old method was to the market look up Golden tree. Go to the back of the listings to find 88.xx. the xx was our market number. This was back in the days when a tree fruit costing more than 88.00 CCs was to ridiculous to even consider.

I just looked at the Golden tree listing and the starting price is 888.00. Kind of ironic.

Yes, there is another way to find your market by ID, but actually you find the number of your server which is not identical to the market number. The market number is in the list below
Here is an example of how to find your server and market:
ID 10533094 : 32 = 329159.18
329159 x 32 = 10533088
10533094 - 10533088 = 6
Rest 6 = Market 9

And by this list you still don't know who is on your market, unless the other person has his or her ID in their signature, so it will only be a help for yourself.

32 is the number of servers at Beeps

 

OK will someone clarify the definition of Beeps? I thought it meant other players, but the way Broke used it - sometimes that did not make sense so the way Banjo just used it. Does Beeps mean BP - the developers?

I think this term came into vogue while I was on my year long vacation.

 

So far, I understand what you have been preaching. I am still obtuse to how knowing how to calculate what the cost per ev will make me millions so I can stock up on Parrot feathers so that next year I will be ready to take on the HH.

All I know is I wrote down all the products, put all the needed numbers into my calculator. Then I ranked my findings. This procedure took longer than 1 episode of Orange is the New Black.

Curiosity! that's all. Plus, now anyone who is on market 20 will know what yesterday's cost per EV ranking were for products.

Today, was a good day of Painting. Actually, I gold leafed part of a painting. The finale process. Lots of drying time. LOL I still have to clean up, but then it's time for TV again so I will try to do some of my homework of the tree fruit.

Broke my dear friend you are the antithesis of any form of stupidity. I would never be so crass as to imply either directly or subliminally that you are anything but a number crashing, analytical marvel of farming manipulation. Marvel comics should create a new Super-hero – Framer Broke who can reduce a market down to its bare EV with a mere calculation.
I my jest in fun about your super-human abilities, but I do not take them for granted. I value what you are trying to teach me.

I have learned a lot from this farming game about how to live in the RL. 8 years ago, when my depressive symptoms were at their all time lowest. I did not feel capable of doing anything; even though, I had just received my 2nd master’s degree in Education in 2007. My symptoms reduced me to ghost who could not even get out of bed. This game gave me a reason to get out of bed each morning. Slowly, I realize that little by little I could accomplish impossible events & FSQs. I was able to transfer this ability to my RL. I started listening to other farms which helped me get smarter and make wiser decisions. In my RL, I began to reunite with my Spiritual path that has brought me a peaceful and calmer mind which allows me to have better experiences.

Now, this game and my RL are both urging me onward to learn and appreciate the value of economics. I have always been a victim of my own irrational impulses. It is time to learn something new about both creating effective revenue streams and making wise decision about what to do with the revenue that I have collect. I think you can help me with this. I feel there is something that you can teach me and the rest of this farming community.
These are the motivations behind why, I want to learn how to prepare my farm for the 2019 HH.

You did accurately pick up on my irritation when I used the word “preaching”. I love to listen to Spiritual teachings for about 10 minutes. The preacher always seem to be leading up to making some grand revolution. I can handle this for about 5-10 minutes and then I start getting ancey and impatient and thinking, “Get to the point!” as they ramble on for another 30 – 45 minutes.

I am sorry for my character flaw of impatience. I learned decades ago that I hurry up to do nothing. Meaning I will hurry up to do what ever task and errands I must do. Verbally stomp on whoever is in my way just so I can go home to do nothing. How ridiculous!!!!!!
You have decided to reveal your wisdom slowly. I respect this decision and will do my best to keep my rude impatience in check.

BTW, thank you for doing the cost per EV for the Tree fruit. My electricity kept going out last night from a baby monsoon.

This question has been around for years, and it always comes back to a person's personal farming goals especially since the last 2 point requires mega-tons of EV.

I am sure you have a firm stance on this question.

I would think that for HH preparation. One would not even indulge in a grow and throw event; therefore, why bother getting the last 4 points of the trophy.

If an individual such as myself who likes to complete things, then they would happily throw away millions of EVs that are worth mega-millions of CCs. Just so they can more easily get those last few drops to complete a grow & throw event. Having these few extra drops could also allow them to finish a day or two earlier so they will be able to grow what they want.

It is all up to personal preference - personal taste.

I know when I faced this delima back in 2011 or 2012. I started a thread called: What would you do with 10,000 Monkeys? That was how many more Monkeys I would need to donate to finish the animal trophy. This was before Living Legend.

(I was horrible at moving trophies in the old days. I was so grateful for the Living Legend rune. That rune spared another debate since some people thought it was a waste of stars, but I argued that it was not a waste of stars - if you were always forgetting to move the trophies.)

In those days, I could buy Monkeys for 300 - 500 CCS, and I thought this was high-way robbery. Such an exorbitant amount of money to buy all those Monkey just to throw them away in donations.

From the thread I started, I realized that I was one of the 1st on the EN forum to complete the trophies.

I am glad that I did and I have never regretted doing so, because one thing I am absolute certain of - is I can always get more of anything in this game.

I am catching on to how to determine the best things to buy.

I am still not seeing the best revenue source.

I have discovered from experience that Parrot farming requires too many apples. I keep running out of feed. Plus, Parrots do not sell as well as Chickens for me.

Chicken farming is better for me since I have so many stall upgrades. I can get 1-3 extra chicken for each chicken feed. I have so much Chicken feed that I have not had to make any. I as noticed that I can sell a Chicken for about 4k and if I wanted to. I could buy the feed for 400CCs. This has nothing to do with what you have been showing me, but profit is profit.

I am still only using 1 to 2 fields for revenue so I have only made about 20 million over the last week. This does not seem like enough to buy cheap EVs for stock piling and restock my inventories.

I thought you were asking this question to "test" my logic. I didn't realize this was a real dilemma for you. Knowing that you are in this quandire. My answer does not change except I think it is easier to convince 22 people a day (the maximum number of gifts per day - I think) to give you gifts than it would be to buy or produce the millions of EVs needed for these last 4 points.

As I remember, I don't think the drop difference of the last 4 points is that significant compared to how many daily gifts you can recieve. Suzeerabit used to be an expert on these numbers. I think Mir, haba(?), PNP or Moraine might know how much of an increase in drops you would receive by finishing the trophies. You might want to consult with them, but ultimately it comes down to personal preferencebased on your overall farming goals.

Thanks for the insight about Parrots. I won't toss them aside completely. Right now, I have to grow & throw so I had to put the Parrots away.
