Oh the HECK with this! I went and filled my baha fields with saguaro before I realized drops are from stables and workshops.

I'm off to play the chase event. Forget this...……

EDIT: Well at least they updated the chase event FAQ to include crops on baha. Maybe those saguaro won't be a waste after all!

Oh well, at least we have the usual BB weekend - though it would be nice if someone forgets to switch it off today! :p

I got ready to start, then checked on the event thingy....NO BABY BOOM? Whaaat? yesterday they had a short one so this was clever to slip this out of the lineup so we'd have to spend or wait. I'll wait.

Yep me too. To make matters worse... y'all forgot to remind me not to harvest until BBD starts... so I harvested babies on all three farms... lol Reloaded the Love Shacks to get the rest of locks. After reading y'all analyses I'm not sure how much of this event I'll do but I frequently line up with Habalalalalala...

Think before acting... I'll try to remember that! lol

If this farm had the pf then it would definitely work this event. The +1 animal is nice as one is somewhat free to apply it. And these most definitely is a price.

Guess what animal Baha, crystal falls and the rain forest are full of?
The koala! Harvested twice a day using jasmine bubble tea each time (the +1).
The farm does pay a price each day for jasmine bubble tea (the +1).

Without any doubt whatsoever, the lvl 1 breeding animal is not the best donation option.
The few I am working with regarding ev analysis are set up with much like these event requirements. I watch as the few go back and forth and constructively argue among themselves and arrive at the same results you have. And they will work!

They are not the most efficient because one completely ignores what one "has in" a particular breeding animal itself. Get this: Even wild estimates result in more efficient donation. Hard for most to believe. Some will put forth little effort than to find the information from a chart which is fine with me and will work ........... but not efficient to do. Why not?

I ask that those discussing to think of the basic crop trophy donation. Sure, one can donate whatever they want. To efficiently donate, one will donate the item having the least cost per ev (or barn) unit. What does one have in it?

Say I get a level 7 butterfly from 4 normal butterflies. The farm must breed anyway, must. Do I really care about donating it? No.

And then I am termed crazy because of the market value of the level 7 animal. And I simply ask whether one wishes to build a barn or complete an event?

Recently the discussion lead to individual preferences. My response is simply that perhaps there is an individual trade off being made but donating the chart determined breeding animal(s) is not blindly the correct answer. Quite unlikely two farms will be exactly the same.

Good luck everyone with this event. No way for this farm to participate though. Sure do hate it but reality!

WOW! Lots announced for the weekend. The only one I care about is the BBD. I'll finally be able to harvest. I have an itchy trigger finger... Want to get it over with. lol When I get back from my appt...

I forgot about Jasmine Bubble Tea! Thanks for the reminder.

My personal preference... usually boils down to donating the highest level critter without going over. For example... if I need to donate 160,000 pts I'll donate a 120k if I have it or 3 - 50k if I have them. It means nothing to me and I can't remember if I got the L7 from skips or not. I don't buy PF with RM. I can't remember if I got the regular critters from a base stall or a neon stall. Primarily because I don't have time to invest in calculating my best unit cost for each farm for each colored critter, tho. It's just an imaginary farm and I really don't care about being in Top 10 etc. It's pasttime to help me decompress from RL. Can't take it with me. Easy come, easy go.

have breeding event always been this easy? I've just been farming like usual, laughing at the 3000 butterflies needed for this breeding event, gathering loads of neon hearts, then realizing all i need to do is breed 20 chickens and I've got a new pet?

I have concluded that many have ignored the Tea. I knew it but refused to act for a long time. The thousands of Koala are adding up in the barn and BP knows it too. The JB Tea only applies to Koala though and that is where the +1 cloud row is great. ((And the farm is producing the finished Koala (using the +1 each time), the finished feed on the market, The Eucalyptus tree fruit on the market used to mill the feed, the JB tea, the trees are in all outlying areas, and milling the feed for use.)) harvest here twice a day and no further thought for months about it

That statement brought all kinds of comments with the EV analysis group. I think most liked your approach and one admitted to using it. I admitted I used it at first too.

One who understood wrote a statement that did all the work for me: "Just double the donation requirements, keep track of what you have in each breeding animal and you will see something entirely different."

(I used level 7 in my example because the farm received a L7 peacock and 2 base peacocks from 4 base peacocks during a recent baby boom harvest. Not the norm but it does happen.)

I like that. There has always been an easy part to each breeding event. The 3,000 butterflies are nice to have. This farm plays the market and at one time 1,000 of a basic animal was more than enough to make it though a breeding event. Then 1,200; 2000; 2,500; 3,000; 4,000; 5,000 ..... listing a couple of time a day for two weeks now, this farm requires over 8,000 of a basic animal simply to sell to the general market for a breeding event.

My concern is not really with donating a basic animal to the event or initially with feed .................... the concern very quickly becomes REPLACING the basic animals sold. (Lots of laughing during the sale but no laughing matter to replace.)

Chickens? Sure, why not. Many think this way and some need chickens. Lots of laughing here while effortlessly selling 1,200 chichens a day more than normally. Quite another matter to replace.

All the freebies from the events do add up. I am the Farmerama Bum. I'll take all the free super grow, the seedlings and even the free stickers.

I wish I could sell those stickers! 8)

Hope all are doing well with breeding.

I have already received my pet and have placed it on the pet playground. However it will not allow me to place the upgrades on it. Can anyone tell me why?

Me too. Had already loaded Motel with Pandas and Camels, one further lot of breeding Butterflies gave me all I lacked to finish all. Probably could have done it with less but managed to miscalculate how many Neon Hearts I needed. :p

Absolultely no decent skips whatsoever but I hadn't noticed that we get Soot for breeding too so that was a bonus as I am beginning to run short after the first long harvest and only event crops since. :music:
Good luck everyone and hope you all get good skips! ;)
