Hidden buff

I'd like to see a hidden buff. It's basically a puzzle for the group to figure out. It does mimic real life in that farming is certainly not predicable and people do pool information to get a better outcome.

For example, for 3 to 6 months depending on the complexity of the buff, there would be something in the background like "If you harvest 50 banana trees, your stables give double on one field for the next hour.

Players could give information about what they were growing when the buff was activated, and pool information to try to figure out the buff. Once the buff is made public on the forums, everyone could benefit from it. After the community got the hang of it, it could be more complex, like 10 bananas 10 coconuts and 10 mangos all harvested on the same day yield a special prize.

It could even be a yearly hidden buff. A new buff is changed every January 1. If we stumble on it we get a reward, or if the group figures it out we have something we can use the rest of the year.

It would take some experimentation on the part of the game developers and the players to see the right complexity of buff, and the best way for the players as a group to figure it out.

The first year could be simple short buffs - a month long to help the players get an idea of what is involved.
Then you could add a more complex buff that last a full year.

 

I like the concept! A Farm Hidden Treasure Hunt surely will add a new rage when the reward is worth the effort.

Do you really think, BP would be able to DO something like that? Sometimes I think, even a "normal" event can't even be done in a way that it runs smoothly.
I presume, something like that (which is a great idea, really) can't be realized in such an environment.
