Birthday Hullabaloo

Game is very slow for me, too. Unable to plant the event crop. What's going on?

 

I even changed my net connection from broadband to mobile data. But still unable to navigate from one field to another etc, So I am going to sleep. Just now managed to plant in MM.

I'm getting nervous about finishing this event....or at least, aquiring all the rewards/prizes.
sebe so eloquently opened this strategy thread with a complete list of requirements per day & totals to attain the rewards/prizes. If we want it all(and I always do) we need to grow 90,170 event plants. As of right now, the end of the 1st day at 150 hours left...I have12,291 film roll flowers. At this rate, I will end up with 73,746 event plants. This is more than 16k short!!!!! I do plan to sleep at night during this event!
So unless I win some serious harvest bonus' on the wheel or complete 5 harvests a day....I don't see how I will win all the prizes?
Anyone have any other advice to getting it all?

if you're
on firefox use the tools-security and clear cache-uncheck the cookies (you want to save those) and wait for it to clear. I had to do this to speed up, it worked.

 

I use Chrome for one farm and Opera for the other. My farm on Chrome was a bit slow. My farm on Opera kept locking up yesterday. Hoping today goes better...

 

My game is slow too on both farms and across all browsers.

Like everyone else, I also want to 'finish' but my goals are to reach the 2 Cloud rows, the zebra stable, and enough Viking broths to finish the Viking event. Beyond that, we'll see what happens. I have saved prior harvest bonus rewards for just such an event as this.

Real life appointments mean that I may be short a harvest on some days and my health/medical issues prevent me from doing any late evening/in the middle of the night farming, so I will just do my best and be happy with wherever I finish. There are enough nice prizes in these events to keep me happy without fretting over what I may miss. I learned a long time ago that all things come to the farm if you are patient enough There are certainly enough other things to do while waiting for a missing tree/stable.

My game was very slow today but seems to be speeding up now. Google chrome. I hope the rest of you are having better luck.

 

I also use Chrome and Opera, didn't notice anything out of the norm for those farms, tho I've probably just gotten used to lag and don't notice it much any more unless it's really bad. I hope everyone who was experiencing difficulties yesterday is having a better day today.

I've finished 33 games so far, and personally, I'm sticking with the find 10 items. The 3 new scenes are a bit busy and take a few tries to be able to find things (at least for me), but the old scenes it's entirely possible to get consistent +15 and +25 once reacquainted with where everything is. I tried the find as many as you can version, did miserably, so will avoid that one. The spot the difference game wasn't horrible, and you get 70 points even if you don't finish in the bonus time, but as many drops/crops as this event will take, I want to get as many points per game as possible so will stay with finding 10 things. I got lucky to start the event with a 100% wheel bonus, but I have a feeling the event's really going to drag now that it's run out. What was BP thinking to make this so difficult? Never been a big fan of gag gifts.

pnp, may your appointments go quickly and well, and your health be as wonderful as your attitude. You're right, it's just a game and I will be satisfied with wherever I finish. I too have saved harvest bonuses, tho I have a feeling I won't have any left after this event. Congrats on the pink goose! This is also my goal, and it's nice to know it is attainable.

 

spots - 33 games! Wow! Congrats! I'm trailing you with just 27 here on pnp and 18 on BW. I planted a long crop last night to stay ahead of the drops but may consider CF tonight with event crop. We'll see how the rest of the day shapes up.

 

I'm trailing you both with just 21 as I too have been doing long crops overnight - a mistake, I should have read more closely just how many darn event crops are required.. This is crazy.

 

Having the event crop on comfort fields overnight is a good suggestion. I did so last night and it kept the crop amount going up in a decent pace. With some luck, I mean by hopefully being able to harvest all fields 3 times a day, I hope to make it to 100+ games in the end. Have not played a single one yet..

Keep an eye on your drops! My fields do NOT provide the required 42 drops per field per harvest (25-38 max) and it's only for the drops gained with the initial harvest my drops are still in line with the crops. I didn't think on a solution yet.

Good luck to everyone who attempts to do this non festive celebration event. Shame on the one who designed and spoiled this Farmerama Bday for its players.

 

I am now running out of drops as well. I am gonna have to plant some long growing crops. I am finding some fields are only yeilding 22 drops. This is not good. My intitial drops I thought, this is gonna be easy, but they dont seem to be doing as well now that some time has passed, I got over 100 on some fields in my intitial harvest, where as the field of Iris I just did, only gave me 88.

I am waiting till I get at least 100 games or so before I start playing on my main farm. I have more than one farm, and Im gonna play the games on my small farms first to get myself familiar with the different scenes. I am also wondering if we do the second option till we master it, would it be more beneficial to then switch to the first option, and gain more bonus points, buts its just a theory I will see how it goes. But I will test it. There is a chance at alot more points with option 1, but you have to be quick and would need to know where everything is. If not I will stick with option 2. I tried find the difference, but I am not good at that, and dont see a chance "to better myself" by playing it multiple times, as with the first two options. The last event with the hidden objects, once I got about half way thru or more, I became very good at it and always got a good bonus.

If we only want to play 145 games, I think I figured it out we would need like an average of 105 points per game to reach the top prize on the point side, so far Im only averaging about 80, but I have not yet played many and still finding new items in the scenes. That is why I want to wait to do a bunch at once.

Just everyone, dont forget to save time to play your viking games too. That is the draw back with mini games as they can get very time consuming. If we played just number one it would take way over 3 hours to play all those mini games alone. Im not sure how long #2 takes, but #1 is 90 seconds. Option 2 and 3 you take as long as you need if you dont make it for the time bonus, so It can add up. I definitely will not try to do them all at once as that is a long time.

Ok my theory seems to be paying off. I started out playing game number 2, the one where you find 10 items. The most points you can earn on this game is 105. And that would be finding all 10 items in under 15 seconds, I cannot do this, I have done it on a rare occasion. I usually score 85 or 95 now for this game. So now that I know where everything is, I have switched over to game number 1. This one you get 90 seconds to find up to 60 items. This game the max you can earn is 135. The 135, is way more doable for me than getting the 105 on game number 2. But I played multiple games on game number 2 to learn the location and used my hints, now I am only playing game number 1, and I am usually always getting over 100 points per game. HTH someone.

I have played 39 games and I have an average of 96.74 per game now, so remember the first ones I was playing game number 2. so I am happy with this average so far.

If you are like me, Im sure you have way more hints than you will use. So dont forget to use them when you are in a tight spot.

Congrats zerodegrees for getting along so good. I am now getting 135 most of the time now. I have started on my big farm now and am averaging 130 per game.
