This is a farmer_broke farm. The name was selected in order to play a little with those working this event.
But then Mentor Brookeham was assigned as mentor.
This is the third farm set up that has been fortunate enough to be assigned Mentor Brookeham.
One farm was in her nest for almost a year and the other over a year and both did very well in the TOP 1000 event. (one finished 17th or so.)

What I learned helped to generate the farmer_broke event.

I am the fortunate player, really. Mentor Brookeham sent the first gift today and knows exactly what to send to benefit a chickadee most.

I have set up many farms. I have wondered how farms are assigned mentors. I wondered whether the mentor had to be signed in at the time of applying for the program or not. I cannot say with certainty.

The farm is level 2 and the only buff it will ever be able to see and purchase while in the nest is CAC.

No need to hurry and graduate. There is a roof on the nest now, running water, lighting, ........ nice and comfy!

Suddenly, I found that I had feed 40 penguin and need 1 more feed of fox
I will finsihed the event.

Look at those Blender sit on my magic Glade
OK, I don't need to care what it is, Deluxe, normal or Hi-tech.
Just keep harvest and make juices will be fined.
Sad that discover it lately which I had plant the event crop. so,after I harvest the event crop.
I will stop growing them.

 

I've actually enjoyed this event

In the beginning, it did seem like the chain of raw goods (crops/drops) to delivery (foxes/penguins) was a bit long and complex, but it is different than standard grow and throw events. I don't view it as any different than being allowed to grow a gazillion crops on 3 mainland fields. I love, love, love that once the blenders have used their charges, they regenerate into new blenders. That has limited event crops so now the 2 fields I was growing event crops on can return to normal farming, leaving glade with blenders that will work until the end of the event. I like the random gifts I have been getting and hopeful there will be a pony and zebra in my stables

I'm not finished yet but believe it will work out. 32 foxes fed, 22 penguins fed.

Next time the blender boxes 'hatch', I will work with them until I can boost my orange blenders a bit.

I haven't felt well lately so the longer crop and blender times have worked fine with my schedule. Overall, for me, 2 puppy paws up. All 4 paws will be up and my tail wagging if I get a pony or a zebra. If I get both, I might get the zoomies

 

Kinda doubting I'll finish this event, currently have only 19 blueberry cocktail and 18 mango, so not quite 1/2 way and only one & 1/2 day left. Not gonna stress, tho, will feed the fox and penguin for what I can get, and enjoy it. Trying to rebuild SG stocks, and unwilling to use + crop buffs on this event, so will just take a relaxed approach to the rest of the event. So pleased for those of you doing well or finished, congrats! pnp, good luck with your zeba and pony hunt, keeping both bear-ish paws crossed for good success! (edit again: I really should pay more attention to FAQs & strategy thread . After feeding fox and penguin 20 times each, I was able to buy the CR and 2 out of 3 givers, so only need the last, cheapest giver to complete. 10 more cocktails each, and I'll be able to kick back and enjoy a nice warm cocoa by the fire (sub-zero here, lol). Getting mainly EP/TEP and CCs from the frisky critters, would love a few more mystery something or others, but will happily accept whatever they want to give me.)

If we activate the cloud row which reduces the production time for Giver items, the blenders take 6.39 mins to mature instead of 7 hrs. It might also have have effect on blender boxes.


I got paw paw tree, dappled willow- 3, tulip tree & an extra pony stall and yellow bison stall.

So I need 85 star coins to buy the cloud row and all the things to put on. But finishing both orange and blue is not in the books. I noticed that if I get to the first three star coin stops on orange and blue that gives me only 80 coins 5+10+25 x 2 = 80 but if I finish one color only (and exchange all the blenders in the other color to hopefully get the right one back) I would make it because 5+10+25+45 = 85 . any flaw in this thinking?

 

4 mangos and 7 blueberries to go - with all those blenders in the field there should be no problem in a finish. Cloud row is up and producing nicely. Can't wait to get all my new goodies put out to see what I've netted!

 

I just checked and I get the same answer.
To make it better, you don't have to finish either colour. The final 45 points come at level 7, which is 30 animals fed. You only have to get to level 7 in one colour to get the cloud row.

Do you need any help, either with drops or with a CAC? I could send you something. I wish we could gift extra blenders, I made far too many.

 

From the shop, I got the sticker , cloud row and givers and the 2 factory upgrades. I didn't need to use the cocktails so was going to get an extra set of givers. Sadly, we don't get enough coins to do that I can get 2 givers but not all 3.

 

Right! Good point. I wish I had thought of doing this earlier, it will be tight to even finish step 7. So yes, a gift of drops would be appreciated!

Also, if you get any star coins in the colour you're not concentrating on, it'd be worth spending them on cocktails for the 'right' colour to get to the magic level 7. Just don't overspend!
