Babies so far - two more to go.
I am thinking of calling Yesterday's baby girl "Swift", as my "Ink Blot" test sees a swallow or swift on her forehead but a day or two before I decide if name fits.

PS two new litters of baby rabbits in paddocks and a white baby in each AND I have also spotted an adult white at dawn... so some do survive the foxes. :)

My paddocks are starting to look like a washing powder ad.

Another white girl born to Lexi. :)

WOW!!! Not such a recessive gene? Do they all have the same daddy? 8)
Congratulations to you and all the new moms. You have an awesome herd, thanks for sharing with us. :inlove:

Congrats to you and Lexi for another beautiful baby being born! She is also so pretty! Looks like a field covered with "snowflakes!";)

And to think, you were expecting spotty noses - isn't it interesting how things turned out! :inlove: Love that sweet photo!

They do dafodily and I did know father carries the recessive gene for white but the results are far more weighted to whites than I had expected - maybe I will have to rethink or maybe just a statistical anomaly????

Another of which has occurred this year. ie Twglet having only ever had female calves to date (6), but what I haven't added yet is that with Lexi's calf that means all three daughters of Twiglet that have calved (Lexi being the last) have had female, Lotte her second and none have ever had a male calf either! So in total that 10 female calves descended from that one girl and NEVER a male - the odds of that must be huge. :)

That is a very interesting result. Amazing that all of Twiglet's line runs to girls so far! Looks like the white gene will have a strong showing in your herd for some time.

We have named the most recent girl (pic 1) as Lily, it seems to fit.
Additional photos of the other babies which I am delighted to report are all doing very well.
I must say I was worried about this year, with 6 first time mothers but 5 of which have calved and are doing a magnificent job. Sleeping soundly now, or at least until Belle is due!

Lol Pascha's honking sound is too funny! What a lovely group of babies this season, such fun to see all of the colors you have, and how
fun it is to watch them all in together!:inlove: Thanks for the video!

They are all so gorgeous, it is lovely to see them alltogether. Pascha sounds a little like a frog croaking:)

:DThanks so much for taking the time to post a video - such a beautiful, peaceful scene!

I was surprised at the deep tone of Pascha's honking; guess I thought it would sound lighter and more "babyish". What are the lovely yellow flowers in the pasture?

    Buttercups Willow..
It is so funny to me. In the first 2 weeks, if a baby honks Mothers' come running in an instant but now they ignore their babies when they are busy - they almost hide and let their babies find them! They are still great mothers' but they are letting their babies find their own place in life. :)
Love watching this time of year.
Belle still to calf but not imminent. Gandalf leapt fence to get to her later than the rest of the girls who were with him!
