Where To Post?

good morning my fellow farmers

I'm posing my question here so that someone will be able to advise me as to where it should go. {This is after looking through every forum/thread that I thought pertinent …. and some not so relevant!}

My question is, "Why am I seeing an advertisement on the right side panel, when I have spent any amount of $$$$ money on this game?"

If you want a real answer, it doesn't matter where you post, you're not gonna get one...

Only thing I can advice is to leave your feedback here or maybe write directly to support.

 

I am getting the same on two of my farms using Firefox and Edge but not on this one using Chrome. So is it somehow connected with the browser?

I'm using Windows 10 with IE 10 and it has all of its' updates.
From your post & now mine, I don't see how the browser could be the issue.
While I suppose that's possible, it seems unlikely that out of 4 browsers, the problem happens in 3 of them.

 

It doesn't happen all the time for me but mainly on Edge. Hasn't happened with Chrome ... yet! It is annoying and I keep clicking on don't show this add and then give reason that it doesn't interest me. It tells me that it will try not to show that ad again - but there is nowhere to say don't show any ads!

I think it would be more annoying if it was on the main farm but as it is, I only go into the other two farms for about five minutes so not too bad.
I just move the farm over so I just see a bit of the empty white board where the ad was!

 

I'm on Firefox and don't get any ads - might be because I have adblock on. You just have to turn it off if you watch movies in the cinema.

 

What is this new concept - not sure I understand!

Only joking, Mindy - can't remember the last time I was able to watch a movie - used to be able to catch them in between events. We don't have much of "in between events" these days lol!

I too get adds in Chrome. I will try to block adds.

Are we talking in game or on the forum? If my ad blocker is active, I get no ads anywhere. If inactive, turned off, I only get ads in the forum, not the game, ever. This is across Firefox, Chrome and Opera. Same goes for the in-browser ad blocker, they all have them.

 

I too get that... and the ones i see you cant close.. Nor are they big... I am on chrome and I thought it was me with my laptop issues i have...I did close out of the forum and reopen and yet it was back.. I just gave up...I too have blockers on... but maybe my settings are not strong enough...
I do know I don't get very many pop ups like i used to before... My laptop needs to be cleaned badly... I think this weekend i am gonna work on it..it is laggy bad with my other game... before.. pfft I couldn't keep up...lol

Right now i see no ads.. But night is young for me... so maybe i will see one again... maybe i wont.

OPPS I do see one now... it has been there since i came in forum 7 minutes ago... the colors made it hard to see..but you cant see the whole ad and you cant close it..

 

We are talking about the forum. They started adding an ad a few months ago.

For the game there is an ad when you log in (once a day?), but only for those who haven't spent any money on the game.

 

Yes the forum.... bottom right of forum screen..I didn't notice them till like 2 days ago.... maybe they been there and like today colors of it blends in.. I am fine with it... but what annoys me...why have ads if one can't see them...also if BP allowed these... why was we not told? I do not mind ads on my broswer while in forum... long as they are see able and closeable... i mean if you gonna have and show ads.. show more then 1/4th of it...

the game.. ads now i know for a fact i have an account that was started before mine was... 6 digit id... she gets ads for awhile now logging in and i spent money on her account.(1 to 5 dollars maybe months apart) .but it is one of them.. movie screen thing...

 

I'm also getting ads on Chrome. The most annoying part is where it says they disappear permanently once you make a purchase. I can't think of another real life example of being forced to view endless ads until you pay! Adblock not working for me.

 

I had hardly noticed the ones on the Forum. These ones are to the right of the game after logging on and are about a third of the size of the farm. I also find it rather annoying to have an ad that can be disabled if you buy something!

I think it says something about Google. I'll look more carefully when I log in to my other farms.

 

I even have it on Firefox... AKA @Jazac You know been mention we spend money and should not see these ads.. Forum is free for BP to do this... Game wise, well I don't know a lot but most games that are free to play will have these...But still we should have been warned..

Not only that.. Flash is WHAT? ENDING? Did I not.. OPPS we NOT see them saying they will change before 2020?? I think someone needs to work without pay.. and stop these events... to many programmers doing events they can not even fix the game that is about to break down..I see it... do you?

If the ad only appeared when I'm here in the Forum, I wouldn't be nearly so aggravated. As it is, as I'm typing this, there's regular farming background here & an ad within the game itself {on the right side of the screen}.

Earlier today, my experience was ad free but now tonight, here we go again!
This is also happening on my other farm, nwTrout1.

I find it interesting …. and not in a good way …. that no mods have "weighed in" on this, especially since reading all of your posts. You can "take it to the bank" that if 10 people cite an issue, there are 100 more who have the same problem who don't come to the forums.
