    I can assist you.

    • If a TOP event calls for products in general then what you are acquiring is too high. (Any player will be paying too much.)
    • If a TOP event calls for a specific product then you will have (maybe).
The issue you are having is that you are not clear on ev rate. Any player that does not will most likely pay too much.

The very last thread in the strategy section explains the rate and why determine it and how it is used.

Waiting for your advice and tips, broke. I have stopped buying long back. But have not formed any concrete plans yet.

The ev rate computation is very very similar to how we can determine which craft product is best to "eat" in order to increase a craft level.
    • Markets are somewhat different in prices for many reasons.
Every item which can be sold in this game has an ev.
That ev is set by the game developers.

Each of can compute an ev rate.
This rate tell us exactly how much one will pay for one ev unit.

The rate for an item is determined by:
    • taking the item's market price and dividing it by the items ev.

For example: the fern has an ev of 200.
If the price of one fern is 1000 then the ev rate is 1,000 divided by 200 which gives us 5.

    • What does 5 mean to us?
One will pay 5 ccs for 1 ev point.

We can do the exact same thing for products.

For the TOP competition one needs ev points. EV points is all one is really buying. It does not matter what the item is as long as it can be donated.

Remember we kept right on buying parrot feathers? The reason was because the rate was less than 1. We cannot buy them for a rate less than 1 today on any market. So we must look for an alternative investment.

If one can understand the above then one will see just how easy it is to pick the right artisan product to donate very soon.

Yes before buying anything I too try to see the CC : EV ratio. But I do not have enough time to go through all of them. So now and then do shopping.

For crafting trades level upgrade :- I have some cloud rows which gives me crafting products like spring wreath, carrot bread etc. So for few of them I have 100s of it and I try to eat 5 of them whenever I remember. They give good points and also we have runes which give % increase in leveling up of crafting trades.

Just try and think of how many who don't. They cannot go any further.
Yeah One-Twoooooo :inlove:. If one is going to work with them all then one is looking for trends: How fast is one moving. Some move very very very very slowly. There is no need to make the computation for all of them all of the time. (Now if one is using spread sheets then one may as well collect the market data and let the spread sheet package do the work.

Since this thread is focused on the trades I will try and keep to it.

    • Honey and cow milk are used in the trades.
    • On all markets I could check, the rate for them both is below parrot feathers.
    • For a long long time we could play around with parrot feathers and made a fortune.
    • We will not have nearly as long with cow milk and honey. Again, here is
Products are called for in many quests, in mini-events and in the trades.

The next place a rational player must turn to for free donation is honey and cow milk.

And this price increase will also cause the cost of items one uses to make many artisan products increase. I can clearly see an increase in activity in the craft market.

I made a lot of products when I was working to finish level 5 in all the artisan categories. After I finished level 5, it normally is not worth the raw materials to make rather than buy them. I believe players who have not completed the artisans categories have a reason to make the products and sell them at less than the raw materials are worth. I appreciate always having the ability to make anything I want, when I need it because the price might spike. However, if I can get it cheaper in the market than it costs to make it, I'll just buy it.

Do you see any change in production of crafting trade ?

I always try to keep a good stock of egg, honey, goat milk and cow milk. But I think I need to have more of them. Especially eggs.

I leveled up till 4 in all trads except Alchemist (level 3). After that I too thought it was not worth levelling up. So gave up. For Spa, we have a cloudrow. So I am in level 5 in it. I buy the crafting products I want from market. But of late, I get them from cloud rows and crates. So now, not buying anything at all.

    Hello Lea2191,
There would be very few artisan products on the market if some were not making products. Some make the products:
    • Without knowing what they are doing because many are only wasting one's resources.
    • Many are only getting into a temporary rush to level up by making most of these products.
I can make as many artisan products each day as I have resources to do so.
    • I will receive the artisan points by doing so. So I can hurry hurry hurry. (Not for me)
One may "eat" on five (5) of each artisan's artisan products each day to level up. One will receive the exact same number of points for "eating" as one will by making the product. But only five each day.

The artisan product faqs contain the present points assigned to products for "eating" and/or making.

So you might need a few eggs huh? Eggs are clearly not the best to donate when we are free to choose products called for. But eggs are used in the trades AND in animal feed.
    • 2 eggs and 3 soybean for frog feed
    • 1 egg for fox feed
The farmer_broke farm took eggs to over 7,000 last week. I left them there for a few days and then took the market down to below 4,700.

I choose to play around with eggs long ago and today hold 312,299
    Fox feed 14,693
Frog feed 10,111 (a baby farm milled over 20,000 frog feed and is holding)
and none other than the ........................FOX .... 39,062
    Frogs 6,907

BP can play with egg prices and stocks through a direct call for eggs, frogs, breeding frogs or the fox or even artisan products if they dare. And they know it! Whether or not we choose to prepare for further egg price inflation is up to each of us.

With the end of the mentor system, egg farms can no longer be freely sent to a chickadee by a mentor.
