FAQ - The Sheep Hellhound​

These are 24 hour breeding Quests so best to get prepared before the event.

The requirements look pretty tough, I haven't done the maths (or combinations) for the animals/breeding animals but, quickly added so please correct me if I am wrong, I come up with a figure of 3,000,000 worth of animals and/or breeding animals to complete each quest - these can be main or Baha animals/breeding animals and any category.

We need to do (a maximum) of 560 breedings over the six days of the event(s) to complete all tasks. There is a chance of getting extra badges but it all depends how generous the system is!

I am a little short of PF (lol 465 short! ) but will go and find as many ways to make/buy/win more as soon as possible! I have loaded up my motel in anticipation and also hoping to have a week long BB - well a girl can hope can't she!

I think the cost of PF is going down in the Shop ... 50 Farm Coins instead of 90 Farm Coins for 50 PF! Hang on to those coins, wait till Wednesday at 14h00 (when event starts) if you want to buy 100 PF for 100 Farm Coins!

 

Thanks illy for starting this event thread. I for one am disappointed in what is required to do ALL of this event, so
I will sit this out! I DO have ALL the PF needed but just cannot justify using it for this event! Good Luck to everyone doing this event!

 

Illy, thanks for starting the thread! I'm in as far as I can go. But, I have questions...

#1 - I don't think those quests give us enough "hellhound treats" - or whatever they are called - we need 110 total. No way do the handful in each quest add up to 110...it's too early for me to do the math...I'll try it when I get another cuppa. -

Edited to add: actually, I did the math - it's 114 treats spread over the 6 quests - so it's a little more than enough to get that red Hell-hound upgrade.

#2 - it says we can "craft" more treats - how? With what?

 

I think this is a great event! The prizes are good: stables and red stables you can't normally get and good value items that go in the pet playground.

As for the requirements, I only speak for myself and my farm, but they do not deter me. The animals in level 1 are not a problem (except the manta rays, but I fortunately found the few I needed in the market). The badges in level 2 require a lot of PF, but since I get to keep the colored animals I can work on my breeding goals. I don't usually do much more breeding than what is required for events, so this is a good opportunity to work on those goals. I haven't bought PF in years, but BP has been generous enough lately with rewards and crates and such, so that I have plenty of PF for completing events. The animals in level 3 is also not a problem if we really can use any animals we want. 3,000,000 EV seems like a lot, but it's only a bit over 300 dragonflies or close to 700 seals. I always produce some high EV animals in my baha menageries exactly for situations like these.

There is actually 19 in each quest, with 6 quests that adds up to 114

My guess is that the text has been copy pasted from a similar past FAQ, I don't think we can get any in addition to the 114. But the sentiment still stands; we can continue past 110 if we have the treats.

I read the FAQ on this event. I only see that you can get a red upgrade hellhound den. Not the base hellhound den. Is that correct?

After a whopping 2 1/2 hours sleep before being awakened by 4 scam calls and 2 junk messages on cell phone (which can't shut off due to need to be reachable for elderly DIL), my brain is even less active than usual. I totally missed the BB announcement, and am relieved that they're not going to make us breed without one. I'm torn on this one. Because I'm a farm hoarder, I have the PF I need (like you, Mir, I rarely breed outside events, and try to keep main mill grinding PF 24/7), but 560 breedings will take me under 1000 reserve, which always makes me nervous . I haven't had time lately to peruse the grapevine, so I don't know if we're expecting any other breeding events in the near future that I would consider a must-do, but I think I will probably give this one a go, as I like red pens, and there is no other way to get these particular reds at this time. I don't know if I'll get it all done, since we're going to be gone for large portions of the next 3 days, but I'll give it a whirl, I think. I'll have to read the FAQs a little better when my brain doesn't feel so fuzzy, but I'm thinking I'll do most of my breeding at one time, then dole out the requisite badges as needed, so I don't have to worry about breeding CRs and the like needing reset time or not being able to manage time to breed on a particular day. Actually you only get one type of badge at a time, you have to do the breeding while the quest is active for each category:

 

Thanks for setting me straight, Mir. That's what happens when you try to comprehend things when you're dead tired. Would have been a major PF loss, no doubt about it.

 

I am having a re-think about the cheaper PF in the Shop. If I buy two lots at 90 FC for 50 PF, when the Shop revamp is done, I can buy another 100 PF for 100 Farm Coins. Can anyone see a flaw in this strategy?

 

I am sitting this event out. Too many things going on in real life. To many events and each only 24hrs. Not worth it in my opinion.

 

I guess I should have realised that when it says "limited", that's exactly what it means! Oh well, lesson learned!

First task finished.
Didn't do the full amount of breedings, just a few at a time to see, if there are any additional bird batches coming. And they did: 11 times I got 2 badges . saved me 22 SF

Zero badges left. No overbreeding.
Ok no great skips but that's ok. Now to the normal tasks.

PS: Don't forget to do farm orders for the season rewards

EDIT: feeding the hell hounds: I fed one and if I got only EP, I tried again. If it then gave me something else like 2xPF or 4xchicken, I fed that one all the time. If it was giving me EP/TEP again, I switched to the other one. So far I got around 40 chicken, 6 PF plus a few EP and CC. Not as bad a result as I was fearing

 

Quest 1 Complete. I used 180 PF.

 

Quest #1 was easy peasy. All done on this farm. Hoping my PF holds out. I'm one that likes to keep PF going in the mill all the time, too, but with the month long MM, I've had to stop and mill food for the MM stables. ugh.

 

Finished quest 1. Got 11 bonus badges so only used 178 PF.
