Strategy: The Sheep-Hellhound

Left with 6 extra badges. Thought to skip the event but EOCD got better and did it.

 

I used 200 PF cos I didn't read the FAQs correctly! I thought it said that there was a chance of getting badges for the other categories! I got seven extra Bird Badges! Fourteen PF wasted!
Going on this logic, I have only put 85 lots of breedings in the Motel ... this time I will probably get more extras!
I am getting a few PF here and there so no worries ... I will finish this one by hook or by crook!

 

Shop-O-Rama has 2 PF offers (first 2 tabs); can get some for finishing some quests; can get some from farm wheel and the small amounts from feeding the Hellhounds. If you are completing by hook or crook then you may be able to buy some for bb or real money too.

Yesterday this ooooooooold farmer noooooow was stuffing leaves in my pocket again while sittin ah spell under the broke tree.

Well, this ooooold farmer noooow took ah slow stroll to market. I wanted to see about how many coins the leaves I had been stuffin in my pocket each day might fetch me.

I wet my britches when I looked. I just don't know what got over me.

Those leaves I've been stuffin in my pocket would fetch an ooooold farmer noooooow almost 7 billion coins. Not million but billion.

Remember those pheromones we were chattin about? Now is the time the broke farm is sellin um. All they are is a steady, regular source of income for this farm. No need to be greedy. Beeps has their hands in pretty good now and there is no need to worry. Grow um? With trees? Foooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooor why?

And rabbits are slow with this event but no worry. dumbunny-the-Rabbit is safe and has plenty of feed to eat.

Nearly a half billion coin sales day today. I just don't want anymore of those coin things.

Back to stuffin those leaves in my pocket.

Enjoy doing whatever you're doin. As much as I would like to do this event, discipline rules and I'm not going to do just because I can.

 

I'm only going for the red penguin because I've been waiting a long time for this pen to come up as a reward again and it can't be traded in G&T. I just wished this pen actually looked red!

oooooo, thanks for the idea, Mir. It never occurred to me to check for different rewards on different days. I'll try to wait as well - but, like Christmas, I get too eager - might just have to cheat a little.

 

Okay, I have to ask Mir ... what do you mean? Have I missed something?
Edit: Worked it out ... must learn to read the FAQs before I open my mouth and put my size 6.5/41 foot in it!

Thanks nm562. Unfortunately, I was trying to be clever, shouldn't even try! I bought the 100 PF before the Shop update thinking I could buy the cheaper PF after the changes but it was a limited offer and I had used it already! I have bought a bit more but am hedging my bets that I will somehow "win" enough not to have to buy anymore. If not I have an FSQ which will yield me another 100 ... I will just have to use some high value coloured animals!
We shall see how it goes and only use the last resort when I reach, well, the last resort!

 

Question for Quest 2 in Hellhound quest on Amphibian. Why cant we donate Axolotl to level 3 of the quest as they are also Amphibian.

Quest 2 Complete. I used 170 PF.

 

I've already finished so I can't see Happycallie but it doesn't seem logical when we donated them to the first section.

I had a little panic as the screen just froze as I gave my last donation ... all the boxes to the left were ticked and I got the prizes so no real problem. Refreshed but still no change.
This time I put in 85 breedings hoping to get 90 badges, I got 96!
No great skips in either lot of breedings!

I have loaded up Butterflies and Bees ready for the next quest: only 70 breedings this time ... fingers crossed it gets even more generous!

First Quest: 7 extra badges (100 breedings)
Second Quest: 11 extra Badges (85 breedings)
Third Quest: (70 breedings)

Quest 2 completed using 164 PF and bonus badges. Got a few nice skips from regulars- two flying frogs and a zebra frog.

 

Where can I give the hellhound hot dogs to the spawning figures? Until now every 'feeding' event had them in easy view and I had to switch them off to get the farming done. But now I've yet to see any!

 

Okkay, when you click the vulcano (upper right corner) you'll be able to turn on or off the spawning characters by clicking the tiny checkbox beneath the hellhound.

 

It would be nice to be able to buy PF during breeding events. Sometimes you don't really know how much you will need until after the event starts.

If you get good skips you might not need as much. I don't like to keep my PF in inventory because of the way BP has feeding regular animals set up. You can accidentally feed regular animals PF -- it was suggested by someone earlier to having the ability to lock the PF so this wouldn't happen. I just don't like wasting my PF on regular chickens or rabbits.

 

I never had much faith in the deluxe pheromones but today I gave them a chance. After getting 76 badges from 4 x normal frog breedings and one glass frog, I decided to try the deluxes.
With the next 12 breedings of normal frog I still got only the same yellow and blue frogs and one extra badge.
For the last breeding, I tried mixing because this is a game. Two normaland two flying frogs, 3 deluxes and 4 normals. Place your bets! One blue and one yellow frog and one badge.

It didn't work, in short.

 

Mir, this ooooold farmer nooooow has really tried to keep quiet when I saw this in your post. Mir is talking about my dragonflies and I must admit that using them is a real good idea if......if ......if one can get um. I am going to name my favorite dragon fly on the farmer_broke farm Mir-the-Dragonfly. Absolutely priceless here.

The seal is also really good if one can get enough.

One is paying or producing for EV points in this case. The main reason I would still invest the entire farmer_broke farm in dragonflies is because of the upward price potential. The risk of that upward price potential is far far far far less than for any other animal in this game at this time.

I needed to put a quick halt to this foolishness with dragonflies on market 40 by sending shock waves throughout the market ... and I'll do it again and again and again:

• All dragon flies cleared (don't have um then too bad for ya)
• All dragon fly finish feed cleared again (I can click faster than one can mill it)
• All bitter ginger cleared again and each feed takes 12 ...price on the market begins at slightly over 5500 each
• All moriga pod cleared again with low price 4500 each .... feed takes one (1)
• All buffs to do with time reduction and plusses (+) for other crops were cleared (no bother with the ep or tep junk)
• Tree fruit to make the buffs were cleared again

If anyone does not have the dragonflies or ready to try and produce a few then .....daggg nabbit .... get to breedin and quick

And if you don't have power feed then Beeps has a supply that won't run out during the life of this game. <-------Now Beeps hand over about 75 of those egg farms for the power feed push. And in a hurry cause I'm an ooooold farmer noooooooow. (and I know you're working the egg pen future with those frogs too and those bees and the honey too ..... just check the barn .... again)

And Mir-the-Dragonfly and the 15,000 dragonfly friends are as safe as can be because Nala-the-Otta and illy-the-Ladybug areprotecting you on the ground and spots-the-Butterfly is protecting the whole bunch of ya from above.

I changed my tactics with this breeding session and used Blue Emperor Butterflies and Nanny Bees - I got 8 extra badges, no great skips from the Bees (highest was a Sentinel Bee) but I got a Gothic and a Red Velvet Butterfly. Not bad.

I'm trying one breeding of Sapphire Wing Butterflies with four normal and four Deluxe PHeromones to see if I can get two badges and a gigantic leap for farmer-kind - well, why not!.

First Quest: 7 extra badges (100 breedings)
Second Quest: 11 extra Badges (85 breedings)
Third Quest: 0 extra badges (82 breedings)
Fourth Quest: 0 extra badges (87 breedings)
Fifth Quest: 0 extra badges (79 breedings)
Sixth Quest: (74 breedings)

Hey, Ol' Farmer, what you doin' with all those Egg Farms and Dragonflies! Illy the Ladybug got her eye on you too!

Okkkay: I agree with you. I have tried them with these last few breedings - absolutely nothing extra from them. No great skips and no extra badges. Won't bother using them again, I think the results are worse than ordinary pheromones!

 

I've postponed today's breeding for a while for this mini-event.
