Question about Golden Bananas..

I've spent hours - which turn into days - searching the Quests for GB rewards...
this is exhausting, and detracts greatly from the rest of the game.

So I was wondering if there is some kind of List that names which Quests give GB's as reward???

**And if not, would it be possible for the game developers to produce one for the game??**

It would be an invaluable tool for being able to participate in all these Events that require BAHA products, etc., that remain out of reach, even for years.
This excessive lack of GB's for such lengths of time is a very frustrating turn-off for this game.

Yes, I have seen the "sales" of GB's offered for the ridiculous amount of BB's required for such a small return - and, of course, passed on those types of 'offers' which give you 'virtually' nothing for your money.
(Has anyone ever added up ALL the GB's necessary to open everything that requires them??)

**In addition I'd like to repeat a question/request that I've often heard before: Will we ever be able to buy/sell limited amounts of them on the Market??**

You can search the quest FAQs for GBs - just click ctrl + F and type "golden bananas" into the search bar. It would be great if they created a list, but then they'd have to create a collection for every possible reward type, and that is a massive effort for very little payoff.

Not sure why we would ever be able to buy GBs on the market. They are a form of currency.

There is no list that lists which Farmer's Society Quests reward Golden Bananas. I am sorry, but it is not possible for the Moderators to put together such a list either, you will need to search through the FAQ.
As with all Game Currency (Stars, Barnyard Bills & Golden Bananas) these will probably never be sold on the Market, but you are welcome to leave your thoughts in the Feedback Threads.

This is sad news though, and is a real problem in keeping newer players in the game.

I must respectfully disagree about currencies being traded/bought/sold on Markets, however, as - in the real world - Curriencies are bought, sold, traded in the Markets worldwide as a matter of course.

It shouldn't be necessary (or is feasible, as you rightly mentioned) to create lists for every possible reward type.

As GB's are listed above along with only 2 others of the same type (Curriencies), there should not be more than 3 lists needed, and -of these- only GB's have such a complete control of progressing/opening up/using an entire 4-section playfield(Plantation, Rainforest, Crystal Falls, Harbor), at least 2 of which have become necessary to use now in order to play Events, and are therefore the only List really and truly needed.

Case in point: At level 177 on Baha - and with much effort to get here - I still am not able to participate in an Event which lists the event as playable from level 1 on BAHA!......because the event requires too many GB's to get to the required product necessary for the Event!
Why is it allowed to be listed as doable @ level 1!??!

Because level 1 is the only requirement. If you are solely earning GBs yourself, then yes, it's unlikely that at level 1 you will have enough GBs for the required item. But GBs can also be purchased for farm coins, you can buy your way through quests to get them, you can win them from crates, and the number of GBs is not dependent on level. For example, a pear tree is only available at a certain level on the mainland, so if you are below that level it is impossible to have a pear tree. But GBs can be obtained without necessarily requiring a level up - so you can't say "You must be level 200 in order to have x number of GBs", because that just isn't true. You could, theoretically, be at level 1 but through other mechanisms besides levelling up, have enough GBs to participate.

That is true, but you don't go to your local farmer's market to buy $100 worth of euros. This is farming game, not a finance game, so there is no scope for a financial market in the game.


Ultimately this is a game of strategy and patience. You will get enough GBs eventually if you are patient and work towards it. If you would prefer to buy your way through everything, that is fine, but perhaps there are other games out there that meet that requirement - Farmerama might just not be the best fit.

 

Which is just one more reason why so many players do not stay.

Farm coins can be hard to come by for lower level players, and need to be saved to open Crystal Falls, not spent on an Event purchase.

Unless you are a higher level you cannot buy your way through Events because the Market will not sell you anything that you do not already have open.

Crates are not easy to come by unless you can do events/win some cloud rows, or are a higher level.

And Quests almost always (there are exceptions, of course) require donations of things that are not yet available to many players, and/or cannot be bought from the Market because one hasn't yet been able to open them.

Too many things require too many GB's to be able to prepare for Events, whether level 1 or 100, especially if one does not/will not/cannot 'buy' their way through.
It is, naturally, quite a different story, once one finally has most things open.

But it is the 'getting there', and staying in the game, that is being addressed here, and this isn't quite the same game as it was when we first started playing long ago.

And precisely because this is a game, not the real world...there is always 'scope'. One doesn't go to the local Farmer's Market in the real world to buy feed like we feed our animals here on Farmerama, either.

The point is that this IS a game, and the Developers can do with it whatever they decide makes it a better game to attract and keep more players.

Reworking/Marketing GB's is certainly worth their consideration. Imho.
