The best birthday gift I could ever hope for is for my husband and children to be home with me. I don't care what we do, nor if there is a gift. I just like us to be together. Most of the time they have to work. It isn't easy for them to get off since my birthday falls during the holidays and everyone wants off work.

How early is too early to put up a Christmas tree?

In my tradition we don't prepare Christmas tree, but I like bright trees and new year air:)

What is your healthiest meal currently?

Would you like to have been born in a different century and if so which one?

The 24th century so I could become a member of Starfleet on the USS Enterprise (but no red shirt, no way)

I don't know if I will get banned or jammed, canned or criticized...
What are you doing for COVID-19?

Well, my country has just banned gatherings of 500+ people. Universities are exempt so I still need to go to work this week (my first week on the job - I was kind of hoping I would get to do it via webcam and not have to get up in front of all those students!), but the start of the AFL season will be played in front of no crowds, which will be very weird. I was looking forward to going on Thursday night but that won't be happening any more! Really it is only a matter of time before we go into lockdown - many are starting to wonder why we don't just do it now and break the chain, but anyway. Personally, I'm just washing my hands, using hand sanitiser, keeping inside where possible.

    Do you drive?

Yes, I do. In fact my first 2 cars were stick shifts....which I believe keeps you more in tune with your driving. My retirement goal is to buy a convertible! :music:

How has the covid 19 virus affected you or your family?

Well we would have been going to the footy on Thursday night, but that's now being played in empty stadiums. I may be running tutorials online instead of in person. We also had a trip to Europe booked for June-July, but that is most likely going to end up cancelled (was going to be our last overseas family trip, as my brother and I are both grown up now!) My dad is also part of the "vulnerable" population, so the rest of us are being super cautious even if we personally wouldn't be at risk of dying if we were to get sick.

What is something you are looking forward to in the future?

The end and cure/vaccine for this virus!
Do you have a personal recipe that is your "star" dish? :)

What’s the most weird thing you have bought?

As an adult, nothing! But I'm certain I would have bought a strange souvenir or something as a child. My school used to have mother's/father's day stalls with horrifically overpriced, terrible gifts - so probably some sort of awful purse or strange item that 7 year old me was absolutely convinced would be a revelation in my mother's life and yet strangely have never once seen in use xD

What is the best thing you ever bought?

What are your plans when you retired?

Well I haven't even started my career, let alone nearing the end of it...but I must admit I do think about how I'll live life when I don't have to work! Hopefully I'll be married. I'd love to go travelling around Australia with other groups of retired people. Maybe some camping. Grandkids, theatre, social clubs...I'll be honest, retirement sounds amazing. As long as I have the family I hope I'll have. If not, then I think retirement might be quite sad for me.

Does your life look like how your 2015 imagination thought it would?

No, not really - but it is better than I imagined!. I am retired and it is wonderful not having to do anything I don't want to (well in reason of course!). :music:
Do you remember the amount of your first wage packet (mine was about £60 for my first full month! :wuerg:)

I've never had a salary - I've only worked casual jobs (though some very well paying ones, and usually a few at a time!) My first ever job, though, was as a private tutor. I got my first student and was paid a whopping total of $30 AUD at the end of the week for my one session! It was barely anything, but as a university student living at home and mostly supported by my parents (we have a very different system in Australia), my first real "paycheck" was super exciting, even if tiny.

I really enjoy being centre of course. I grew up like a princess and now I spend lots of time for my appearance and cultural development
that's way being centre of attention.

I already speak French and tried to learn Spanish as well but I found it very confusing so I gave that up. So, unless I could learn another language unconsciously, no, I don't want to learn another language! :music:

Are you still in that job, illy ? Just curious to know.

I did enjoy being in the caring profession although I did many different jobs. :D

What do you love best about your native country?

One-Two: I retired two years ago. I trained as a nurse in the UK and moved to France. When I was job searching, I got a job as a Care Assistant (much preferable to being in charge, believe me!). I was in that job for 8 years but decided to retire after working for over 40 years! :p
