Feedback Farmerama Standalone Client

Tried the standalone version today-Unity would not load all I got was spinning flowers. This loads much faster then Unity, however there are some things I don't like. When I went to harvest my pet playground or haunted manor, ect. the screen turned pink and I could not see anything for a few seconds and some things were not harvested. Also you cant access your neighbor list and I really don't like the cut off edges look to it. Also on the pet playground only 1/2 of the icon was showing. I do agree about the problems about the window sizing too.

 

I'm sorry, the game I love has become a torment. I'm so sorry.

 

Yes, I can only increase to 125 per cent and this doesn't fill my screen. I cannot log on using the chrome farmerama it just sticks on the loading at 100 per cent.

 

It would be nice to have avalaible a exe to download for major updates to the client. I got a message saying "your client was updated" but it was like....in three seconds after open? It might no even updated anything at all. Another thing is despite I have the animation turn off, the map animation is working. The sunlight, the fish splashing in the meadows, etc

Absolutely awful! Very very slow to load the Game initially (I'm Windows 10 with a fairly modern home theater P.C) then the loading time for all Fields and Deco/Giver areas take a good while to load and when you return to a place that's already loaded it starts a slow load again! Then placing Crops and Harvesting them takes time to load too, 11 minutes it took me to Log In and to load everywhere, That's about 10 minutes longer than before?! I thought it was meant to be faster? It's not! Bugs all over the place, The Market won't work, I had Suzy's plane stuck on my screen so I had the awful process of reloading again, If you should dare open a new window say your E-Mail or just Google, etc it all has to reload again! It randomly crashes meaning more long loading, The Cloud Row is a mess, The Game makers have made a massive mistake by presenting this with so many faults to so many fans and loyal players of the Game (probably ex-fans and not so loyal now?!), The whole thing is a disaster and so many people will quit or leave this Game now (some through choice and those without choice which is I can only imagine to be a horrible position to be in) people who have played & paid day after day, year after year for many a year, Disgraceful, An insult and a shame!

 

Game is no longer fun...after 10+ years of playing and THOUSANDS of dollars spent...i think this switch to Unity will finally free me from my addiction to Farmerama. The compensation packs would need to be so much bigger to keep me at this point!!!

 

I totally agree with cubanmissilecrisis and buttons210. This game is no fun to play anymore.

 

Stand alone is much better than Unity!!!!! If Unity was all there was, I would quit!
However, some significant problems with Stand Alone. I Cant toggle through my neighbors for gifting or when they level up.
If you expand screen zoom cannot go back to farm from cloud rows.
I just really wish BP would let us stay with flash until end of December....its so busy in RL now....playing the game easily would be a relief!

 

very tedious to play but i'll give it a bit more time. the screen size is bothersome. trees and crops don't appear ripe and must be clicked on just to check . clicking is delayed and sometimes doesn't register. i play another game that had to make the change from adobe and it went much smoother so i know its possible . not ready to give up just yet but i'll definitely play on flash as long as i can.

 

Unity has stopped working for me entirely, but the standalone client is great. Feels just like old Flash, and just today, I discovered that I can edit in my IGM again! That is fantastic!

 

The good to hear about standalone Williton work on Samsung android phone or it needs to be laptop or tablet?

 

I too have an Android phone and no, neither the client or the Unity will work on it... I hope that they can make a mobile-friendly option asap!!!

 

Matselleste have you tried Unity using the Puffin browser? That works for me the couple of times I have tried it while out and about.

 

I would greatly appreciate the gifting to change like it is in Flash. Neighbors listed first and then my general friends. Right now there are only two options, alphabetical order and by level for everyone together. My poor neighbors must hate me by now. Gifting takes so long using the pop-out side bar thingy to go to each individual neighbor that I have given up gifting most days. Takes too long.

It would also make my day so happy if we could use the enter button to accept pop-ups like in Flash. Makes accepting gift giving pop-ups of all kinds so much faster. My crates are piling up because I don't have time to open them because of needing to scroll the mouse all over the screen to click everything.

I do also agree with everyone that we need a mobile supported way of playing. I've gone from playing many times a day to once a day and not taking part in events because I can't on my iphone anymore.

Those are my top 3 "penny for your thoughts" on our new playing option.

 

I see that access to the forum and to making purchases are still using Flash.
When will these be switched to Unity Standalone?

 

ctindaldavies, I hadn't tried in about a week, but I tried this morning and it's slow and glitchy but yes! It worked! And I by no means have a top of the line mobile phone, so this gives me great optimism for improvements!

 

Client transitions are terrible. If I do something on the farmwheel and then try to harvest, I get hung up, have to relog. If I open crates and then try to harvest, I get hung up, have to relog. If I open too many crates at one sitting, the client hangs, have to relog. Things in the client seem to work initially but as gameplay proceeds, it seems to grind to a screeching halt, forcing a relog. I will miss flash and I may very well miss farmerama because it just takes too much time to play or get anything done.

 

Can't open crates. I get the option to open them but they never open. As it's the last option for Flash I will do it there but it will be ridiculous if we can't get any of our crates open after Flash shuts down.

 

The loading time is still very long and constant stalling. Game freezes constantly. Unity is going to be the death of BP.
