Feedback Cave Excavation

Big thumbs down for this event. And I was really looking forward to an event on the islands. MAYBE this would have been doable if all Baha fields were available for the event crops and to gather drops. The amounts were insane for one field. All this on top of all the issues created by switching away from Flash shows a lack of thinking things through. Maybe the developers should try playing an event they create before going live with it. You would have had to realize that this would make ZERO players happy.

 

This event had nice prizes, I love the Piccolo boxes BUT this was beyond "HARD!" To do 1 cave completely you needed to get 2,200
drops from ONE land, seriously who is coming up with these numbers?? And the drop rate was foolishly low!! And then there is all the glitches in the game ie, it constantly freezing for at least 90 seconds each time you try to do something! This is not the way to keep your loyal players, coming back! I am really trying to stay positive BUT you are making it really hard with events like this!

 

The drop rate is rather unrealistic.

I finished the first event plant yesterday but I am still 142 drops short of the cloud row after using most of my supergrow for long term plants. The cloud row is doable but having to wait for the drops while growing something else means there is little to no point starting to grow the other event plant with a few hours remaining. It would be better if you got the seeds for the other plant at the same time as the first one, or at least after the last event plant level.

Piccolo boxes are nice but a little beyond my paygrade.

I prefer events that have plenty of time to finish everything without SG.

 

Being able to complete events without sweating has been a welcome change to the game recently. This event has completely turned that on it's head. It's so disappointing feeling that I won't even be close to getting any rewards from the other cave. Yesterday I had just finished the catlipoca growing and planning the other event crop when I suddenly ground to a halt, 'What? I need a further 400 drops before I even get to access the other crop?!'.

After all the frustration we players have had (and are still having) with the game since flash was retired, this event is so badly thought out that it feels like a bit of a slap in the face.

P.S. I'm not too bothered about opening the magic stalk row, but being unable to even start the other cave with 2 days of the event left felt/feels really irritating.

 

I guess game programmers don't play this game. Or he doesn't know how to count.

 

what drives us more angry is that BP is not following up with us

Why would they? They have more important things to worry about like fixing glitches. The moderators can't give any information if they don't have it, and if they do it won't be here.

 

Had a power outage on Saturday and so I pretty much gave up on this event. Glad I did. I will not kill myself over events on this game anymore. It's not worth it.

 

I am one to usually give the benefit of the doubt when it comes to events, but this one was absurd. I have long become accustomed the fact that events cannot be completed without the use of 1x1 and CAC, but to start having requirements that mean SG and SSG is a necessity, rather than a luxury, is ridiculous. As said above, the last several events were really pleasant, and having one on Baha seemed like a nice change - but the drop requirements were unmanageable with only one field. This was a cute event, and nice prizes, but the details completely ruined it.

 

I know...but they must have someone watching over these forums, moreover, they are not acting as if this is a problem otherwise, we would have seen something in the official announcements and/or technical problems forums. it's like we're playing a game that is not owned by BP

I want back my Suzy turbo mulch, super grow, suzy's super grow and farm coins is used to buy them.
Honestly, i feel cheated.

 

I could finish the crops and finish up to level 13 - it would mean using all my SG and SSG (and buying lots more) to do so. But as I have absolutely no chance of getting the last 800 drops to finish the whole event, I have decided to call it a day. With another day or five, maybe I could finish!
Very disappointing ... hope the next event is a little better or I might have to ignore it altogether!

 

I got 136 drops on a field of 188 1 x 1 fields and using Ixora, a 24 hour waste of time. That leaves me 54 short of the cloudrow so I bought 100 at 170 BB which is a rip off. I am 12 hours from the end of the event which isn't enough time to grow much toward the second half of the event since I now need to sleep for the night. It is ridiculous that I spent half the event trying to get enough drops to do one step in the middle of the event even using precious SG trying to get the crop quicker and get just 136 meager drops.

My opinion is that if I had known about the drop rate, I never would have started this rotten event. It may be time to take my money elsewhere.

edit: It is now morning, less than 5 hours left of the event and I finally was able to plant the second event crop which is really hopeless. I cancelled my premium farmer, I will not renew my farm machinery and not even sure if I will do whatever event comes next. Thanks for the great awakening.

 

what a bad one

 

I used 376 super grow to get the drops I needed and have Cloud row up and running. Without the super grow trees I would never have bought anything. Bad event. Naughty BP!
I also wonder about drops - surely they should be similar on all farms within a small percentage. My other farm got a total of 211 drops from two harvest of LabLab but this farm only got 164 for the same harvests, a huge difference.

 

Several hundred drops short of even the cloud row let alone being able to start second crop. Dreadful event. What a waste of our time and resources.

If this event was designed to make us spend more money, then I think it may have had the reverse effect for future events, as why waste our hard earned money on an event that still may not be possible to finish?
Edit... I would have hoped that the powers that be would have taken all our comments on board and increased the drop rate in the last few days but no, nothing, no help. My questions is now, why do we bother giving feedback? And I am wondering which events to participate in (or none), it's seems it's a lottery as to which ones are possible. Very disheartened

 

Final opinion, this was a terrible event. I've come to the conclusion it was not only bad planning but it was lazy planning as well. I'm extremely annoyed that I even participated in it. A game is supposed to be fun, not annoying. I sincerely hope you take that to heart.

 

Worse event ever! There was no way for anyone to get enough drops without using tons of super grow and even then it would be difficult to get enough of the required crops & drops. I just barely got the cloud row & it was only because I did use the super grow on Ocotillo to get drops which left no time to grow the second event crop. This gets two thumbs down from me. Just sorry that I even attempted to do it.

I've been playing this game for a very long time, and I have to say this is the absolute worst event I can recall. I'm well over level 200, and I struggled to get to the halfway point of this event. That's not hard; that's unreasonable. I totally understand that BP needs people to pay money for the game to survive; I've regularly bought harvest subscriptions and BBs in the past. But making an event impossible to complete without paying for drops? That does not motivate me to support the game. In fact, it does the opposite. I stopped spending money on the game waiting to see if you could recover from the Unity roll-out fiasco, relying on my stockpile of harvester coupons. After this event, I'm doubting I'll ever spend money on the game again. The fact you knew it was a disaster and did nothing to address the issues shows the developers are either incompetent or hold your customers in contempt. Frankly, whatever the answer, it's not a company I feel like supporting. There are far too many other entertainment options out there.

 

absolutely. have decided not to participate in any further events which require drop items.....chasing rainbows hoping to find a pot of gold...only to find the end of the rainbow is still out of reach
