    Thanks Nala777!

And by "28 of January" the FAQ really meant "18 of February" right???

Is it just me or is this just like that disaster cave thing just a week ago? I'll plant some long time crops and see what the drops are like before committing to this one.

Those "heartdrop flowers" are one of my favorites in real life - bleeding hearts. But, from experience I can tell you having gotten through the "cave" event...START WITH THE CHOCOLATE ROSES!!! The 8 hour crop - you need fewer crops to get the cloud row AND the drop rate is better! If you get to the half way point and have time switch to the 4 hour crop and reap what you can.

Hopefully the drops will be better than Cave event or this will be another disaster event. It seems to me the same under another name.? ;)

The event mechanics are similar but in my opinion, this is a very different event.

    Cave Excavation
    • Took place on Baha --> no instant crops or refinements, so it was very difficult to get the needed drops together
    • 2200 drops required with drops coming from the same field used to grow event crops --> no time to plant longer crops for drops unless harvest bonuses and other resources were used to speed things up
    • Same amount of event crops needed regardless of initial choice
    • Impossible to complete without the use of harvest bonuses and other resources

    Romantic Rendezvous

    • Takes place on the mainland --> can use instant crops and other refinements to quickly and efficiently generate drops
    • 650 drops required with drops coming from a separate field --> plenty of time to plant longer crops for drops
    • Different amounts of event crops needed depending on initial choice (although total growing time is the same)
    • Difficult but not impossible to complete without the use of harvest bonuses or other resources

Given the low drop requirements, I really can't see the drop rate being an issue here, especially since we can collect drops for the second section from the event crops we're growing for the first section.

Well, I'm not very sure how the drops are going to go already. Hydrangas for 55 Heartfelt gifts, and 69 heart shaped cakes ( 2 x howies on that field, and little farm Carnations gave 25 of each :wuerg:. It will probably be ok

I forgot it started today and I had asparagus, got ~40 drops. So I don't see a problem there, just growing the crop. xD :p

I got 40ish on both with carnations, but I'm a little tired in general so will do what I can without stressing too much.

Drop rate appears to be low but adequate. Aim for at least 50 drops every 12h (heart-shaped cakes if you started with chocolate roses, heartfelt gifts if you started with heartdrop flowers) and you should be on track to complete the entire event. If you're not hitting that target, you need to rethink either your strategy or your goals. The drops are there but will be very hard to come by if all you're doing is putting out your longest crop with nothing but water...

I started with Chocolate roses. To grow less of an 8 hour event crop was my incentive. Drops are good...not great, but good.
    Much luck to everyone participating!

I have just now started the event. My fields were empty. So no drops. I have put hydrangeas right now with SGs for drops. I like the cloud row.

Given that, the broke Research Lab is working around the clock.

I started with 8 hours of product. All products run out after 1 hour. I used SG and SSG. But don't you. Since the drop of the crop grown in the main field fell on the other field, it did not accumulate enough. The product is finished, no drops. SG and SSGs were wasted ...
It would be nice if the drop of each product would fall on its own field.

That's why refining crops in the greenhouse so you can finish them instantly with SG is so great. I had the same problem that drops were lagging when I'd finished the first crop, but a few crocuses in comfort fields with SG put that right.

I'm now lacking one 'Heartfelt gift' to finish the whole event, thanks to getting two '100% harvest bonus' from the wheel. It itches having only one drop to go, but I've already put long crops down for tomorrow in the appropriate field.
