Scorpion feed can be made in the Mill.
It requires: 6 x Strawberries, 20 x Gooseberries, 1 x Pear
Time Required: 14 minutes

And this event requires animals and/or coloured animals and Badges from 3 animal Categories, all you have to do is breed Mammals, Arthropods, and Fish!

There are a total of 3 rounds you can complete.
There are a total of 21 steps you can complete, and they all have to be completed in order - you cannot choose the stop you wish to work on.

To complete the event and for Cloud Row:

75 x Arthropod Badges and 750,000 Barn value worth of arthropods and breeding arthropods
75 x Mammal Badges and 1,050,000 Barn value worth of mammals and breeding mammals
75 x Fish Badges and 600,000 Barn value worth of fish and breeding fish

122,140 Barn value worth of scorpions and breeding scorpions

I'm in too. Though I may wait till the weekend to start breeding, firstly to build up a few Scorpions - I presume they are arthropods as they definitely aren't mammals or fish! But also because I am sure that I saw in the rumour thread that there MIGHT be a half price event and this usually occurs over the weekend. Plus I will be waiting for BB.

My only concerns are that I would like to build up a stock of Scorpions and with the concurrent event, I can't really go all out as four fields are filled with crops as my best chance of getting enough drops. Secondly, I also see in the rumour thread that there MAY be a workshop event (all workshops will take 9 hours) and, once again, how can I take advantage of this event with hardly any space to put out workshops. Oh well, I will just have to let this one slide this time round.
Choices to be made but all depends on the drop rate for the other event ...

i should hang on, baby booms usually get thown out on fridays with these kind of events. the coin-a-palooza is a decoy to get you breeding now for the coins, the baby boom usually follows.
get all your power feed and animals ready then use pink jelly and breed away in 1 bash.

 

I will do this, tho I too will wait until weekend, BB day, and hopefully 1/2 price. Not sure how to build scorpion numbers quickly, tho, since will only have 1 field available. Would also be nice if we could make feed beforehand . Thankfully I have several stable buffs to speed up breeding and increase yield, plus Neon Butterfly cocoon is almost ready to harvest.

 

Spots, thanks for reminding me that I have a field free of other events - maybe, just maybe, I will free up some space on Crystal Falls for some Scorpions. *Shudders* Did I just say that!
I will wait, as already said, because it will give me time to get going on the other event.

 

I think scorpions will be mainland animals, illy. I also figured they would be for Baha, but dumbunny asked in General Issues thread, and Farmer's Almanac said they would be mainland. So the only free field there will be Magic Glade, if participating in The Alchemist's Herbs event on other 2. Menagerie will help, but only have one . Totally caught off guard by this event, as I was so exhausted yesterday morning that I prepped fields for drops but didn't stay awake long enough for FAQs on this to come out. On the plus side, I slept for 9 hours straight, which is almost unheard of for me, I usually wake up after 5 hours and can't get back to sleep.

 

Is anyone else having problems seeing the event(s)?

Okay, it just took about five refreshers and now I can see something is happening!

 

I just logged in and can't see it, neither the Scorpions.

Events usually start 1pm here in UK, Its now 1.15

 

It's okay now - keep refreshing, it will come with the free item showing first.

Which buffs increase yield on stables? I use Neon Butterfly every few days but that's all. There are so many tweaks to the game these days that ordinary fella like me has no chance to keep track of them all. The game has become a task for devoted specialists.

Neon Butterfly Cocoon adds +1 to stables for 12 hours. Think it ripens every 3 days or so.

Silly question maybe but where do you get the Scorpion from?

 

You can buy the habitats for 8000cc from the red shopping basket under the animal tab -- and/or get 20 scorpions from the breeder tab on the Tree of Wisdom.
