It seems to me that chocolate only drops in Crystal Falls and not on the Plantation or Rain Forest. Since you need 37 chocolate to make one Smore or one Praline, there does not seem to be any reason to continue this event.
So sad...

 

Do you have stables, workshops and trees in Plantation and Rain Forest? Only those give chocolate.

 

The info says the drops come from Bahamarama harvests. It does not state specific TYPES of harvests. Thanks for figuring out the drops only come from stables, workshops, and trees. Thanks for figuring out those only work on the Plantation and Rain forest. I just harvested 9 hours worth of crops and got 3 chocolates. Obviously it is another Farmarama event that doesn't support the requirements.

 

I just discovered that chocolate also drops in the breeding pen. Better start loading up on Power Feed...

 

Chocolate

You will get these drops while harvesting your stables, workshops and trees on the 3 tropical lands only!
You also have a medium chance of receiving 1 x Chocolate with each breeding process completed.

I like this type of event, and I like this particular version. I never love when we have specific types of production required for drops, but it does keep it interesting!

 

drops for chocolates are appalling!
tried different permutations, trees, workshops, stables, combinations of them all .....have found trees are the worst for drops. whole field of trees only gave 29 drops...thats less than 1 per 7 trees in a 24hr period....xxl trees only gave me 1 in every 10 in a 12hr period.
workshops and stables gave 30 drops from 39 stables/workshops in less than a 24hr period.
i do not have a pirate parrot and have exhausted my supplies of grow fast for trees....think i will, like many others, fall short with the chocolate drops!
unless moderators are feeding this back to the powers that be who can adjust the drop rate for us...keep an eye on your drops just in case they start to go up....then we will know they are listening.

 

Honestly, not playing this one. The cost/reward ratio, IMO, is off unless one is extremely high level w/ a lot of advanced breed animals.

The chocolate drops are slow but I will be finishing the event with my next harvest. I don't like we only get certain drops from certain things we harvest on specific fields. BP does have the way and means to increase the drop ratio but I think they sometimes refuse so we will buy things with real money. I do like the fact that offered a piccolo box for 200 coins so that's my goal.
