New way of copying

Before I had no issues. Now I do. When I get a message form another language, I used to hit reply and copy. Now I can't. Has the game team figure a way I can do this yet? Or is this new and they need time? Cause atm it's hard to chat with someone not your language.

EDIT or how else can I speak to someone with mjfufghgnr ;letters?? Cause I tried i so did I have to google it and when they say letters with dots above i cant type that.. i need copy back..

You can try using the keyboard shortcuts ctrl + c to copy and ctrl + v to paste to see if that helps.

I did.. again new platform we are using and I do not know if that matters. But I will say this outside the game works wonders.. inside game ctrl and c copies yes but outside game ya have what was copied. again, Like I said this is new to me.. Old tricks or same tricks do not work.. I need help.

EDIT ctrl only copies outside game.. No I right click all the time.. that is saved.. i goto mail and cant right click.. never could.. but ctrl plus c helped.. when in mail I did that.. went to google and pasted.. old copied was sent.. meaning what I had outside the game was sent to google not what I ctrl plus c..

 

Once you have used ctrl + c to copy the message, you can then use ctrl + v to paste into Google Translate.

Yes, but you can ask for help without insulting them for not understanding what you're saying. Admittedly, your writing style is quite difficult to follow, and you never explicitly said CTRL C CTRL V wasn't working.

What do you mean by "mail works wonders"? What is "mail"? Why are you pasting there?

 

You dont get it. Mail works with ctrl c and v.. but going to google v works what was last saved.. NOT FARMARA.. Ok? I did NOT insult @shooger.sweet . Yes I did ask if she tried.. I do get it. You can't ctrl+c, ctrl+v from the messages. When you copy and paste you are pasting the last thing you copied from outside farmerama, not what you copied in the messages. I get what your problem is. That's not what I asked. What I asked you was what you mean by "mail". Are you referring to the messages in game or something else?

The way you are speaking to people is rude. Saying "what part don't you get" is rude. Telling people they don't understand, when in many cases they do, is rude. Repeatedly replying in the thread instead of editing your comment is rude. Tagging me a mere 11 minutes after you last asked for assistance when it is not reasonable to assume I live every minute of my life on a game forum is rude.

 

Please be respectful of each other. We are trying to understand your problem.
Are you highlighting the text before pressing ctrl + c? If not, your system will just remember the last thing you copied.
You also have to press reply to an IGM before you are able to highlight the text so you can use the keyboard shortcuts.

Does this make sense?

Nope, it does not work any differently than how you described it. I even tried using google doc which usually helps me out of these kinda things. I would past on a doc, copy it from there, and move over to translate BUT nope that didn't help either. When I pasted on doc it was something that was already on my clipboard from somewhere else. However LOL I was able to control+ v and past there in the same letter that I just copied (control + c)from I was also able to open a different mail and past there what I had copied from the other letter BUT I could not bring any words into the game from outside of it.

PS yes I did remember to highlight what I copied.

I can say that I have tested it and have been able to reply to an IGM message and then highlight the text, then use ctrl + c to copy it. I was then able to use ctrl + v to paste it into Google Translate directly.

If this does not work, please list what platform and what method of playing you use.

~edit~ after further testing, it seems that you can only use the shortcuts in the Standalone client. You cannot use the shortcuts in a browser.

Yes I can copy the message in the mail. As you must hit reply first to do so. Then click paste inside mail. That works. Does NOT work in subject or to sender section of Message. Also I can NOT bring it outside the game to google other messages from other languages. The game does NOT auto translate for us. So that said, How can I found out what others is saying if I can't copy funny symbols?

I know we used to be able to do it cause I done it many times when getting mail from people who do not speak English. But seems now I ether have to ignore or type it out best I can in google. And I do not want nor like to ignore anyone. So there must be a way to get all of the message from the mail and google.

EDIT: I have tried on 3 browsers and same thing... copy message in mail and paste in mail but can't bring it out no more as we used to.

 

and the highlight to copy thing isn't working well in the standalone client, either. Got a message from a fellow player this morning with the bonus code, had to manually type it into the code window as I could not highlight and copy it.

It WAS working a while ago...but not now.

And I really hate to complain about anything because compared to a year ago, when we weren't sure this game was going to survive the end of JavaScript...this is kinda nit-picky.

 

Hi @dumbunny Are you coping from the forum and then pasting code in? Because That still works for me. I right click in forum and click copy goto bonus area and click the white bar and CTRL +V and it should paste for you.

EDIT sorry I dont know about the standalone one.. Maybe that can still work for you. If not sorry I tried to help.

 

No, I was trying to copy from a message in-game using the stand alone client. I wound up just typing it in. Not like that was hard to do it was only 6 characters.

 

MODS, so we no closer to finding answer? other than standalone client works? Have you found out if maybe the team is working on it for us browsers users? Thank you.

I just know I used to copy before and now it don't work. but as you later said stand alone works. I am glad. But just wish we had it for our browsers...lol Cause I do hate ingoring others, no matter where they are from. Guess I am gonna have to try to do the best I can and pray they use standalone client...lol
