Difficulty: Medium - Hard

I'm going to try this strategy calculation for the 1st time, so please forgive me if it's wrong!

Event crops: sweetheart roses - can only be grown on 3 tropical lands
Event drops: candy baskets - 3 tropical lands - crops and trees only!

50 games for cloud row:
1 free game at beginning
So for 49 games, you need 49 floral baskets:
15 925 sweetheart roses
931 candy baskets

IF YOU DO THE SUPPORT QUEST:
If you do silver levels only - 13 550 sweetheart roses will give you 50 floral baskets

For the Piccolo box, you need 60 games

Please correct me if I'm wrong

I agree with your figures and would add that to finish the event milling your own Floral Baskets will need:

59 X 325 = 19,175 Sweetheart Roses
59 X 19 = 1,121 Candy Baskets

But if you do the Support Quest, which gives a total of 65 Floral Baskets (+ free one, makes 66), you will only need:

15,424 Sweetheart Roses
960 Candy Baskets
Plus NO MILLING!
Now, if I have missed something or miscalculated, please tell me but if not, I am doing the Support Quest!

Thank you very much for starting the thread dear @AniE I will do this activity even if it is a bit complicated for me at first. Hearts came out of my eyes when I saw the Piccolo box i hope i can reach her

 

I am clearing my tropical lands for long crops. There is too many coloured stables, which I do not want clear before they are ready, so drops will not be so good as I wish. My strategy is to grow as much event plants as possible. First Support Quest and if I have plants, drops and time, I'll continue milling flower baskets till the end of event. Breeding will help with drops and there is breeding weekend event at same time.
Carnival Queen always give useful goodies and I try to scoop as many as I can to my basket

 

Thanks everyone who helped with this thread and AniE for getting it started! Yes I will do the "Support Quest" and do the whole thing as illy has pointed out we can do the whole event and not mill unless we chose to do more! I love this event so good luck and I hope we all reach our goals!

 

Thankkies for the numbercrunch. I agree doing the support quest is the key to reach the finish before event ends.

Let's hope the mini game this time isn't as rigged as the previous versions. I very much disliked only to move the cursor/basket to the right each game and not to be able to aim for prizes.

I also will concentrate on the support quest first, then keep growing/milling as much as possible until end of event. The prospect of flying goodies gets me every time. I played this event last time on a touch screen laptop, with excellent results, much better control of the basket, so will strive to steal said laptop away from husband when I'm ready to start catching. Thanks AnIE for this Thread, I had a through read of Carnival Queen FAQ for this Event, if you compare this to the last Carnival Queen FAQ(We get to collect Star Coins, spend Star Coins in Event Shop so we can buy lovely extra prizes, But No Event Shop this time, therefore no extra prizes)

Unless there is Error in FAQ, Just want to point out that in last Carnival Queen we could get three extra Piccolo Wonder Boxes, if you include Mini Quest Prizes that would Total of 4 Piccolo Wonder Boxes, Sadly this time we can only get 1 Wonder Box this time.

This event now make it less appealing in terms of gaining decent prizes for our hard earn efforts, Also the Cloud Row is less appealing too for my style of game play

I thought it is only fair for me to bring this up, when we had first Carnival Queen Event we could get so many lovely wonder prizes, but it seem a pattern is developing, that in terms of prizes Big Point is getting Meaner and Meaner

I not as thrilled for this event like i use too

I have touch screen Laptop it does help play this mini game easier, I not going to invest much SG and SSG into this event, save them for more Rewarding Event

 

I played the first free mini game and the pirate dropped me only 2 PFs and I SG. Rest were all EPs, Chocolates. Not even SSGs & TMs. I thinks no CCs either. How did you fare in your first free mini-game.

 

274 baskets from 1st harvest from 100% trees. Is that good or bad

 

I got 471 drops from 3 fields full of Ixora crops (24 hrs). But I have 10 Howie Donuts + 1 in the Wisedom Oak Tree and some cloud rows which increase the drop rates.

Is this event even possible to do without paying money for super grow? Also are there any items I should consume to help me besides CAC?

 

Trees would be 20 hours. But the crops are 24 hours. So drop rate will be higher. Also did you use howie donut ? I think without howie donut & Cloud rows, the drop rate might be 275 to 280. I did some maths and found out for you.

11 howies means 55% increase in drops.
471 = x +55x/100
x = 303.8 drops.

I did not include the cloud rows effects on drops. So just minus another 10 or 20. It comes to your drop rate

I always try to do events without using money and buying SGs. Yes its possible.

Try spinning the farm wheel for 100/200 % or plus one crops. If you have 200%, 100% crops harvest coupon. Use it.

There is also Jack O Gift (giver item) which gives +2 crops. You can also activate it before harvesting the crops.

Also if you have 9 season tokens you can redeem the reward of +1 crops for 1 hour in the season shop. But it takes effect immediately. So activate it just before harvest. Since the season has only started now, I am not sure if we will get 9 season tokens before the end of this event.

 

I have one 100% harvest bonus.
What does it exactly do?

 

Doubles your harvest on everything for 24 hours (or about 31 hours if you apply pinkiepiepie). Yes, "everything" includes event crops. So if you are using 1x1 plots, plus the 100% harvest bonus your yield per 1x1 square will be 4. In other words, same as if you put CAC in your diamond buff slot. The added bonus is it also doubles your harvest on trees, animal pens and workshops.

I save 100% harvest bonuses and generally run them when I can couple them with a 100% plant harvest bonus. Running both at the same time increases 1x1 yield to 6.

Y'all know I'm in on this farm, dumbunny and sewinglady. The baby farms are sitting this one out. Too much stuff to do in RL.

I haven't played the "free" mini-game yet. The interwebs is wonky here today. Going to hope it gets better later in the day or tomorrow. Not going to get my hopes up for good loot...the queen gets more stingy every go round.
