Thanks @zerodegrees for the above post, but the following post by @Mooboy does seem to give the lie, as I have been getting routinely around 30 golden dice from a single harvest of my longest trees, not upgraded, and he got only 15 with a full field of upgraded ones. Although perhaps just because they were high EP does not mean they were long? @Mooboy, which high EP trees did you use? it doesn't matter all that much, I suppose, but at this point in my gameplay, I'm way more interested in strategy, so I just like to figure things out! I got 17 lucky dice from a full field of trees, 150 apple trees and the rest were XXL trees with an upgraded duration of 12hours (just normal trees - wisteria, maple, walnut, date, etc.) I think I will be doing some breeding tomorrow during discount day and hope for better results.

 

I have gotten 29 lucky dice (forgot to take note of the shakers) 2 mornings in a row with a field of birch and goat willow trees. Both are over 20 hours. I used Turbo Mulch to get them down to approx 13 hours so good for overnight. Since I boosted my crops so much yesterday, I have out XXL trees that are also mulched. No strategy of which ones except the ones I need for feed. I certainly am not seeing the dramatic lucky dice harvest that zerodegrees reports, but there is still time to make some strategic tweaks to put forth my best effort.

I will aim to complete the event but also realize the possibility it won't happen this time.

Total lucky dice so far is 74.
75 games played/ 11,190 points

Still a long way to go as not even quite half way on the points side.

 

Here is how my farm is doing! I grew only event crops so got no lucky dice but the drops kept up with my harvests. I did get a plus 1 for 24 hours the 1st day and used 1x1's and green water, water and manure for the 1st 6 hours So every hour I was harvesting and getting not only crops but drops. Last night I milled my 74 Cup O Dice and the free one gives me 75. Then bad storms came through and I have not yet played the mini games as I shut my PC down, and they returned again this morning so still waiting to play games! @Mooboy Every breeding gives you one shaker. But rarely you can get the lucky dice which therefore means no shaker. Because you can only receive one drop item.

I find breeding animals the fastest way. But I hate using all my power-feed up. I will try using trees in the last two days of this event.
Currently played 92 games with a total of 13,080 points.

 

@solotime Thanks for into about Breeding. We can get shakers from Breeding but it cost 2PF per Breeding. There is Happy Discount Day Tomorrow for 12 Hours which you only consume 1 PF it is Big Power Feed saving, as I intend do some Discounted Breeding , as it would help get some extra shakers on top of harvesting Gamer's Glory or Trees

I will implement instant Nuking Refinement Crop[using 44 Comfort Fields], which only need 44 SG per Harvest, this is quickest way to reap shortfall of Shakers But I am trying to build good stock of gamer's glory but no luck with harvest boosters yet, so going to try get as many lucky dice as i can consuming little gamer's glory and shakers as possible, so squeeze as many Option 2 Cup O Dice Milling as possible, avoiding doing any option 1 Milling

@-matselleste- I used XXL (Wish Tree, White Popular, Bayberry, Red Alder, Fibert, Bitternut, Cottonwood roughly 720 to 620 EP per Tree(12 hour Trees without SM)) getting roughly 15 Lucky Dice but using 202 TM per Harvest takes roughly 5h 40 mins Duration time

Therefore it best use @zerodegrees tactic to have Full Field of Dapped Willow, Goat Willow and Birch Trees (23 H,22H and 21hours) These are longest timed trees there is , Theatrically speaking the longer tree time, better chances of Lucky Dice

Keep in check try use Cloud Rows and Howies to boost drops for lucky dice using long timed trees, i have Tree Stump Hanger and Pharaoh Herb's Magic Stalk Row both of these makes your Turbo Mulch more effective

That good to hear solotime, sanddollar15 and puppiesnponies doing well I only done 10 Mini Games got 2120 points so far not bad i hope keep up with this rate, Doing Cup O Dice i Try to avoid two pairs as they only reward 40 Points and chance it

I will put out long time trees tonight hopefully get good bundle of lucky dice

Haven't felt the need to put out a single tree since I started the event so I've been growing nothing but event crops.

I'm hoping I can get away with 193 games or less to match the 1 free game + 192 lucky dice I collected from my initial harvest but if I end up needing more than that, I will put out dappled willows with STM in 1-2 arboretum(s) overnight towards the end.

How so? You got 27-30 lucky dice from a full field of 21-23 hour trees while Mooboy only got 15 lucky dice from a full field of 12 hour XXL trees. These numbers appear to confirm what I said in my previous post: the shorter XXL trees will not yield nearly as many lucky dice as the longer base trees because when it comes to drops, time is the only thing that matters and the drop algorithm does not see any difference between a high-EP XXL tree and a regular 12h tree.

Btw, I just harvested 202 basic apple trees on my side farm and got 21 lucky dice. This doesn't mean apple trees are better than XXL trees. It just means drop rates fluctuate a little from harvest to harvest (such is the nature of RNG) and EP has no effect on drop rate - something else I've been saying for a while now.

 

@zerodegrees, I stand corrected. I thought that you were saying that the XXLs were still operating on the base time. You are exactly right, that the shortened trees with half the time, un-amended, will give about half the results, which, for growing overnight, the longer (20hr trees shortened to about 10) makes more sense than the 12 hr XXL trees shortened to six hours, which is less time than I prefer to spend sleeping. One of the things I love about this game, there is a gameplay style that suits everyone!

60 breedings gave me 9 lucky dice and 44 shakers.

 

I don’t have the skill, but luckily I have the resources.

133 games - 17360 points - 130,53 average

 

Harvested my longest trees this morning, I got 41 Dice and 57 Shakers from it, using my Turbo Mulch Boosters got these trees down to roughly between 12 hours to 9 hours 40 mins

So far done 28 Cup O Dice which got me 5150 Points giving 183,92 Average. I am doing different strategy just focus Milling Option 2, not won or use any crop boosters or using Green Energy nuking Gamer's Glory only using CAC so far
I am gunning for 65 Cup O Dice games to see how many points i managed to achieve i wont be counting my chickens just yet keep fingers crossed to maintain high points Average

So far got 7 lucky dice from Breeding, now build good stock of Shakers, very few next level skips

 

Got the Piccolo wonder box with 124 games and 18,330 points. The 124th game resulted in a flush (300 points + 100 bonus).

Currently at 131 games and 19,030 points. 145.27 average but my true average without first-time bonuses is more like 124.66. I forget how many bonuses I'm still missing.

I don't have the skill either but I'm slowly learning to make better choices through trial and error. I have a hard time deciding what to do when the game gives me something like 2, 2, 3, 4, 4 on the first roll, though.

62 lucky dice left. I'm hoping I can at least keep my average up and get away with 48 more games.

 

IMHO, it is better to keep one pair. I had advice years (decades) ago where I was informed that you should keep open the highest possibilities. If I kept two pair, then I couldn't possibly win a four or five
of-a-kind.

 

I would probably keep 2-3-4 for straight.

I tried it and didn't see any significant change in results. After many negative results, my solution was to delete cookies, refresh the page and change the language (country) option. So it works for me sometimes.

BUT!

You can never be sure though. After all, it's a game of chance.

 

all 3 farms have CR up and running. Sewinglady's farm got the piccolo box from the right side last night. Of course, this week my schedule is plum full so I think my farms are going to play off what they have and call it good.

 

Congrats dumbunny! I too just got the piccolo box from the right side. I played 141 games to get there! I am playing on as I still have some crops and drops left! Good luck every one and "May the Dice be with you!"
