FAQ Born to Skate
For this event, we will need to Breed animals to collect drops from the Reptile, Bird and Mammal classifications.

Event Drops:

Veggie Pizza
You will get 1 x Veggie Pizza guaranteed, with every Tortoise Breeding completed.
You have a 50% chance of receiving 1 x Veggie Pizza with every Reptile Breeding completed.

Energy Drink
You have a 50% chance of receiving 1 x Energy Drink with every Reptile Breeding completed.

Wrist Guards
You will get 2 x Wrist Guards guaranteed, with every Bird or Mammal breeding completed.

I am very sadly lacking in PF though I do have a Loveshack full of the necessary critters so I will do what I can with what I get and hope for a Half Price event at the weekend. If not, I will be mainly selling Skateboards and Tortoises!

Thanks *WisdomTree* for doing the math. Geesh illy, I'm with you, that's an awful lot of PF. Even if there is half price event on the weekend. I dont have anywhere near that amount. Especially after we just had an event where breeding gave out a pittance in lucky dice.

Lets wait and see.

 

All in on the 3 main farms. My baby farms have been making tortoises for a while to bolster the main farms in advance of this event. For once, I'm somewhat prepared!

Things I know: If they update the wisdom tree right away, collect the "shell-jitsu" tortoise so you have one to donate just in case the breeding house is stingy with skips.

Don't forget to use your orange farm coins and collect the available power feed - every little bit helps.

If you save your crates, tomorrow, at the start of the event, open any crates that are breeding related - many give power feed, pheromones, and deluxe pheromones. I also open the animal ones to boost the numbers there, too. Also, for this particular event, open your crates of fish and crates of workshop goods - SKATEBOARDS are contained therein!!!

 

WOW...with that amount of power feed required, hold out for super-sunday....sure it will be a discount day...always has been in past event like this.

Do you reckon it will be with baby boom on sunday ?

 

Generally, yes, there is a baby boom over the weekend with events like this. Discount Day for a few hours on Sunday.

I normally don't wait - I do the whole event of these types during the short baby boom when the event starts. But, this time, I may be waiting as I may have to go out of town tomorrow. Which could work in my favor...as long as BP holds true to past events.

Also going to need loads of Tortoises regardless of Super Sunday make big saving on Power Feeds, We get 1 Veggie Pizza for every Tortoise Breeding also get 0.5 Energy Drink so we need to do at least 428 (Tortoise Reptile Breeding) Super Sunday = 428PF, Baby Boom =956 PF

But take note that FAQ say we have 50% Chance getting Veggie Pizza with any Reptile Breeding including Tortoises just wondering Statistically do we get 1.5 Veggie Pizza for every Tortoise Breeding Correct me if i am wrong

We still have to do 428 Reptile Breeding (Tortoises/Anacondas/Salamanders/Chameleons) to get 214 Energy Drinks Objective

We also need 98 Wrist Guards (2 Wrist Guards per Bird/Mammal Breeding) Super Sunday = 49 PF, Baby Boom = 98 PF

Baby Boom Power Feed Total =956 PF + 98 PF = 1054 PF

Super Sunday Power Feed Total = 428 PF + 49 PF = 477 PF

Stakeboards have already doubled in price in my Market snap them up cheap if you can

Note: To get 214 Energy Drinks from 428 Tortoise Breeding will end up with 8 Veggie Pizzas too many if I got my sums right

 

Remember it's a coin flip on each tortoise breeding. It's possible that you could do 428 tortoise breedings and still end up short on energy drinks. Theoretically you might end up with 0 energy drinks (although I would hope not).

 

Thanks "Kukkis" to remember me to save PF... but... minimum 478 (from memory) in super Sunday and I have only 100 power feed , so "easy" (about 1 of max 10 events to skip totally in 11 years!) skip this, yes NOT easy but almost "have to"... Sad!

I understand the unreasonableness of giving a number about the PF you will use.

to be honest...the rewards for so much resources is pretty rubbish. i already have 3 skateboard factories from fsq's and gift & trade. now tortoises are no longer wonder stables & breeding availability the pink stable reward is not that enticing either. the skateboard factory upgrade is minimal to standard type, a handful of wonder stables and a cloud row that gives a bog standard crate of 1 basic animal and some ep seems, all in all , a lot of effort and resources for not a great return for your efforts.
think i will give this a miss and save my resources for better things.

 

I'm always low on the required animal, however am very grateful tortoises have been my go-to animal for manure for some time now. So this time I am set. phew.

Definately agree with you upa70. It is a huge amount of resources for pretty standard rewards. I'm just going to play it by ear I think.

 

I'm all ready to go.

Hoping there will be a brief window when Happy Discount Day (HDD) overlaps with Baby Boom and Farm-Coin-A-Palooza-Days this weekend. If my wish comes true, I'll do some extra breeding for the tortoise breeding FSQ. If not, I will wait until the next HDD that does overlap and just focus on the breeding event for now.

I like the CR. It gives 1 PF + 1 deluxe pheromone + 4 random animals every 44 hours in the form of a crate. The way I see it, if I spend 477 PF (give or take depending on luck) on this event and can get up to 199 PF back from the CR after 1 year + 26 PF from event rewards, the pink tortoise stable and other rewards are really only costing me around 252 PF - much of that is due to breeding I would've had to do for the new breeding FSQ anyway...

I have thousands of stars I can't use so of course I'll be buying the shell-jitsu tortoise from the Tree of Wisdom. The rest of the requirements aren't much of a sacrifice, at least for my farm.

Here's how much PF I've been able to save over the last 6 months (without milling or buying) after spending down to 0 in September and completing every breeding event since:



It's wild how fast resources like PF can build up if you don't scoff at the small rewards and avoid breeding like crazy for drops when there are cheaper alternatives available like in the last event.

As dumbunny said, every little bit helps! In addition to buying PF with farm coins and opening crates, there are FSQs you can raid for PF and it's also possible to win some PF off the wheel. I don't think I would waste party tickets on PF for this event but free spins are quite easy to come by so it might be worth using some if you're desperate enough.

Yes, in theory, 2 veggie pizzas for every other tortoise breeding which averages out to about 1.5 veggie pizzas per tortoise breeding.

I believe you meant 856 + 98 = 954.

Only 8? Oh, I have a feeling we'll end up with much more than that.
428 x 1.5 = 642 (estimate only)

 

If so, using only tortoises in all reptile breeding would give a huge advantage in power feed.


Not interested in the rewards, and I also didn't like BP's strategy of getting players to deplete their feed stock in the last event. So, I am not doing this event.

I'm in, I do like breeding events got 3500+ pf so should be ok

 

I have 2 pictures from the test server here, 132 x tortoises were bred here and these were the drops of them.





Maybe that will help you when considering breeding.
