I unlocked two critters on the Tree and expected to see one less order today after clock reset, but both are still showing the same number of crates to be filled. I thought if I unlocked a critter who had four crates, then from time of unlocking, they would have three crates. Did I misunderstand how this works? TIA.

Would you explain in greater detail what you did Meadowcrossing? There are a couple of different runes on the tree related to critters.

Rune 56 unlocks five customers in the FS. Each unlock uses 50 stars and says that "All of XX's orders ask for 1 less item, to a minimum of 1 item." I was thinking that each one of them reduced the number of orders as they were unlocked.
Do I need to unlock all five for it to be effective?

"1 less item" refers to the quantity of a required good, not the number of orders.

Let's say you unlocked the following customer benefit in rune 56:
Super Stalone: All of Sealvester Stalone's orders will ask for 1 less item, to a minimum of 1 item.

After the reset, there will still be 3 orders for Sealvester Stalone and up to 4 different goods per order, but they will now ask for 3 of each product instead of 4. In cases where your stock of product X is low and Stalone can only ask for the minimum quantity of 1, however, the rune will have no effect on that particular product and the quantity will remain at 1 as it cannot be reduced to 0.

:cry::cry:They're already asking for over 300 of each item (crops). So now, they will ask for 299! Wow, that's a great use of my 50 stars.
Not at all how I interpreted this. Once again, the Tree of Wisdom proved itself far 'wiser' than I! xD

That is on the crops. The other ones like Sean Cowery which asks for the building supplies it is the difference between 20 nails and 19. But when you get to the critters, there is a difference between 4 goats vs 3. That does help.

If you haven't already, I would look at the baby boom rune on the tree and the faster breeding rune (5hrs vs 6). It is very enjoyable to see the results of the baby boom rune on a baby boom day. I have bred 4 basic animals and got 6 basic ones back AND got a colored one as well. Or getting 2 colored ones. These should be one of the first ones unlocked by new players.

I'm assuming this is one of the two customer benefits you unlocked in rune 56:
Pretty Pigston: All of Jennifer Pigston's orders will ask for 50 less items, to a minimum of 1 item.

Jennifer Pigston normally asks for 350 crops (on a well-stocked farm) but after unlocking the Pretty Pigston customer benefit, she only asks for 300 crops.

Thanks for your and sueperkins' replies. That does make it more clear. I unlocked Brittany and Sean. Only do the orders during the Season :)

Thanks, that does make it more clear. I hadn't realized the effect is different on different critters. I did unlock all the breeding runes and got some good results this weekend during the less expensive PF cost. Can't wait for the next BB to see how it goes then. :)

That next Baby Boom day should be soon. There is a rumor that there is a breeding event this month. If we are lucky they will also announce a Farm coin day along with it. So you can get critters, coins and badges if you have stocked the breeding pens with the right types of critters. That is where the rumors help. They will usually show you the colored badges you can earn during the event. Then you need to translate the colors back to which category they belong in.

I also only fill those farm order during seasons. I also only spend my season tokens on the 150% EP giver bonuses (1 token). I read a post by a long time player a few months back. They said when it comes to leveling up, all of the EP/TEP you earn from crops doesn't really amount to much. The bulk of your experience gains will come from your givers. I'd rather have 2 days of 150% giver bonus than just 1 day at 200% bonus for everything (2 tokens). It is also why I try to keep my park full even if they are only the Cheering Fans. I can swap them out for higher value ones when I earn them.

Thanks so much for sharing about the season bonus and value of the EP/TEP bonus. That is very true and I'm also trying to figure out the best placement for my givers as some still give extra EP/TEP and +for trees for a limited time. At first I used the harvest helper to harvest in one fell swoop, but then realized that if I did it one by one and first harvested the bonus givers, they affected the EP/TEP of other givers. Takes a bit of time, but has made quite a difference :D

Since you are just one level above me, you should also look at the runes at the top of the tree, specifically the Park. 5 levels on that rune each adds a 5% bonus to EP earned in that area. I just finished the last level of the rune yesterday, so now everything I harvest in the park gets a 25% bonus. My cheering fans are now worth 93.75 EP each before activating anything else. I would also take a chance on any spin on the farm wheel that might give you one of those Galaxy Shakers (+15% EP bonus). I currently have 3 in the park and want more. I also unlocked that cloud row so I get the 40% across the board bonus when activated. Stacking these bonuses helps alot. I managed, with a couple of harvest bonuses thrown on top of all this, to get 2.8M EP out of the park one day last week.

Also I noticed about a month ago, just when they started the "Enchanted Wedding" daily givers that they can be placed in Baha as well as Mainland. I have been putting mine there to speed up my Baha leveling. With harvest bonuses activated I routinely get between 25K to 37K TEP from each one. I had about 15 I was routinely farming, until they ran out. This is where having awesome neighbors helps. Getting those as part of their daily gifting has netted me hundreds of thousands of TEP over the last month or so.

I never realized that about placing the givers anywhere except the park or the CR. I did place one on a farm in Baha last week because I happened to have two free plots. I shall pay more attention to that now as I have some still in my gift box because there's no space in the Park. Really appreciate your sharing all this information. There are so many layers to the game and comments like yours help so much to get the best advantage of all the 'perks'. :)

It's true - you earn most of your EP from givers. Every now and then, it's good to take a look at what you have on your giver fields. My main farm (sewinglady) and this farm have so many givers that could go on the Pet Playground that I don't have room for now, it's not funny - so periodically, I look and see what I have in play and what I have in storage - you want the givers that will do you the most good down on your fields.

Except for Howies, I don't keep givers on "growing" fields.

Those seasonal 1x2 givers are nice for younger farms. And the other great aid in leveling up is a +Thanks for the help...not only does it give excellent EP, it gives party ticket crates that can really boost your inventory of party tickets (save them up and open them after the giver is depleted!).

I've been cramming all my givers in the Park. Never realized the affect they have if placed on a farm. I just checked my EW on Baha...it's giving lots more TEP than the EW in the Park! Good to know for going forward. My Baha level is much higher than the Main. :)

I don't have a Howie yet. How do we get them?

You just missed a sale about a week ago. The game wanted about $5 for one. Gift & Trade would be the next way, but they are still trading at high value. I looked at an offer. I thought it was a swap Howie for an Egg tree. Nope, the person wanted 40 egg trees for it.

Alas, I saw it but didn't realize its value and passed. Next time! I just played a hockey game and had enough coins to buy all the Classic items, only to discover the CR doesn't give much value for the givers placed on it. Should have bought the Piccolo box  Oh, well, at least I am hopefully learning from my mistakes. xD

It was NOT a mistake to get that classic cloud row! Every 30 hours you'll get an extra 5% drop rate - on all fields. THAT's what a Howie gives, but unlike a Howie, you don't have to lug it from field to field! Somehow, this farm didn't do that 2018 event - so that was the first thing I did - made darn sure I got that "classic" CR and the givers for it. Then I moved onto the new one.

Don't be in a huge hurry to level up on Bahamarama - after you get to 600 you're done. No more leveling up. I make sure I put all my largest (EP, not size) givers on the Park or if allowed, the pet playground. Move anything you can to the Moonlight giver field. Remember you can harvest that every day - it's not locked off like the MM playfields.

Edited: Just read your posts on the Piccolo Box thread - ALWAYS Pick up and remove dead + givers once you have used all the goodness. The Floral tunes gives CC 5 times. Then it's kaput...but wait! Pick it up and then look at how much EP that little tiny 1x1 giver gives you! Its second life is forever and FAR BETTER than the first one! Thanks for the help is another giver that comes back with loads of EP and a little MM tree EP bonus.

when ever there is an event i am not partaking in or no events on (which is very rarexD) i ask my neighbours for the free givers from the daily gifts, then i fill up the lighthouse and park with them along with all the best ep givers. collect cloud row boosts first, add bonus slots for givers/ep boosts before harvesting the lighthouse and park each day and watch the ep roll in. both the park and lighthouse can give me 10million ep daily doing it this way to go with the 10 million i get from the cloud rows.
ALSO, make sure to get to level 39 in the seasonal rewards chart and get the seasonal chalice upgrades each month...that boosts the ep/tep he gives each time. i think by january this year the seasonal giver from last year gave 850% ep/tep boost daily for 1 month each time harvested!!! well worth doing.
remember to harvest your giver tep/ep boosters in a certain order so that you get the most ep/tep from everything...seasonal chalice, anything that boosts ep/tep like multitask genius, galaxy shaker, goat in the box, apple suprise etc first, to maximise the total amount of ep/tep given from everything else, then harvest all remainders to get the most ep/tep possible.
sounds a bit of a ball-ache but worth doing to maximise the full potential of all your givers....
....and watch your self level up quicker than before;)

i have been playing on and off since the start and dawdled upto level 90 by last october 2021, never bothering with the leveling up just enjoying the game and wanting the latest animals and trees. then i saw the light and went from level 90 to level 214 in less than a year and upto level 545 on bahama doing the same with shipwreck bay and castaway cove.

good luck leveling up....and enjoy the game.

A good take away from everybody's posts so far is know your EP givers, how much they are worth and where (Main/ Baha ~ also park, meadow, glade, lighthouse, playground).

Booster givers like Galaxy shaker means know the order of activation. Who's first, second.

I've heard the correct order is Cloud first. Party wheel second (50%, 100%, 200% ). Booster items out of inventory (these take your gold/silver slots). Booster givers like Galaxy Shaker (15% boost to givers). Then the givers themselves last. It would also be important to watch all the mini-events notices. If you are low on booster items, then maybe save them for better days like mega EP days.

Also Dumbunny and upa70 also mentioned something else that is important. That you can run out of room with these givers. So just like the crops we need to unlock all the extra space we can. We cannot unlock the lighthouse just yet(level 100), but we are getting close Meadowcrossing. We also should be looking at shipwreck bay and castaway coast.

Dumbunny also very wisely pointed out that there is a giver field on moonlight that is always open. Now I just need to figure out what I can place in there. I am guessing at this point that it is just moonlight givers, but I will look and ask around. This also means that I need to change some of my cloud row givers. I made some moonlight givers to fill some 1x2 giver slots at the time. Now I will swap out some golf courses for them so I can put them in moonlight field. Golf course are expensive in CCs but in the bigger picture they are good for cloud rows.

As I posted a few days ago, I found you can use the water towers (250CC) to fill your 1x1 cloud row slots.
