1st full field of 4 h crop gave only 23 drops, and had 37 more from gifts/leftovers. Yikes! I need 19 more harvests and if this drop rate is consistent, I will only have 437 drops from growing the event crop, plus what I get from gifts. And there's only about 10 extra hours left after growing event crop IF I harvest on time every time (and that's just not going to happen!) So, I'll see how far I get; I'm certainly not going to stress over it, or lose sleep!

or maybe I'll get some lucky spins :p

Cloud row up and running but decided to stop there. I know I have not got time to grow the 4 hr crop required due to other commitments (Yes, I do have things to do other than farming!)

This farm and PM23's got the CR on Sunday morning - and that was that. Not going any farther.

SL's farm has been done with the whole thing since Saturday afternoon. The difference is that farm I spend more than a little (cough cough) money on and it has a lot of things that help with drop rate - cloud rows and givers. In the end, though I put in a field of bitter ginger (because we never have enough of that stuff) and used some green goo to speed it up. That gave SL's farm enough drops to get the piccolo box.

Honestly, though, half way is good enough.

Now the bad news. I've got 3 weeks to make for a huge Halloween show at the end of October. Why only 3 weeks? Because we're heading south around the middle of October...our annual pilgrimage to the mecca of Phoenix, AZ. We'll get back just in time for a few last minute things and then "it's Showtime!" (and if you didn't envision Roy Scheider as Joe Gideon/Bob Fosse saying that when you read that, you need to watch "All That Jazz" so you, too, can have that permanently etched in your consciousness). So if I'm scarce around here, you'll find me pushing fabric through the sewing machine - zoom zoom.

Ridiculously low drop rate. Come on Farmerama - quit making it impossible to finish a quest if we don't buy something. We all realize that you are in business to make money but don't get greedy about it.

I have the cloud row up and running. At this point, I only have 225 drops, so I'm not going to even try to finish. I'm working toward getting the wonder pens/trees and stopping there. That's another 2230 4 hr crop

good luck on finishing your goals everyone! @dumbunny have an amazing trip and successful Halloween show!

I have finished and reached the piccolo box! I had to rush it along some as I live in Central Florida and Hurricane Ian is bearing down on us:oops: and we will probably lose power! Good luck to all working on reaching your goals!

With 24 hours to go, I have 483 of the 810 drops needed to finish. I have been planting longer crops due to real life challenges, so I am very happy that I stopped at the cloud row as the 2nd half of the event would have been more stressful to complete than I wanted to deal with. Can it be done? Sure...with some crop bonuses, wheel bonus (if you are lucky), the stars and moon aligned just right, etc.

I can think of a few strategists that are very successful for this type of event mechanic. They continue to inspire and I appreciate their contributions to the forum strategies over the years. :)

Congratulations to those who are finished! You've got my admiration :)

Best wishes sanddollar as you deal with extreme weather (and anyone else who is too)

I need 269 more drops for CR. I guess this game doesn't love me :p I'm a naughty player. I will arrange my farm as soon as possible. I play very sporadically. I need to plan well for the next event.

NOT: Don't forget to use your seasonal badges!

    I used +1 for animals..;)

I was unable to access the game for six hours last night. Tried everything possible, Chrome, Firefox, Edge, rebooted router, checked for updates, cleared cache and downloads, etc. No idea what caused the issue. It opened around 23:30 and I was able to harvest my lablabs and replant. This morning, same issue, but after an hour was able to get in and harvest labs and replant. Fingers crossed for drops as I need 96 more for CR.

I began event with 4hr crops because I'm retired and have more time to harvest, but drops were very low. I think the stress I'm feeling is not worth the effort. Lesson learned for the future.

I appreciated being able to access other fields as I was also doing the Season. I would suggest lower requirements for crops and an upward tick for drops for this type of event.

Congrats to those who finished and good luck to those still working.

Prayers for all in the path of Ian. Hope your light stays 'green'!

Done, all. not easy, not easy.

I made "drops-only" lablab beans when I have Chestnut-CR and that other similar => In tuesday morning I need 2only" under 300 drops, so that +200% for 12h 6,5 hour a go "was gold"...

With it and plants +1/6h I made those needed 2900 more crops, and now in last 1,5h 82 half-plots give me needed 42 drops.

Left overs: 9 plants and 35 drops...

Time to go to sleep! 0:58 local time.

With all those vegetable buffs including tiki, yesterday night I did two rounds of cassava and got considerable drops. Then grew overnight crops of lablab beans. In the morning I found that my good friends klemensci (from all of the klemensci farms) and sanddollor sent me drops. [IMG] Thus I managed to gather the remaining 313 drops for the last step. But 1 drop missing. [IMG] So I went to one of my other farm and sent this farm 1 drop and got it. [IMG] With that drop finished the event.[IMG]

Yes. I want to know what that piccolo box is worth.[IMG] So I have put it out along with another piccolo box. [IMG] Let's see what all my SGs, SSGs and 1005 into barn, +1 crops turns into...

.... to be continued in the evening

To my surprise I've managed to finish the entire event. Grew the 4hr crop first as that suited my timetable early in the event then just grew long term crops to see how I would go with the remaining drop requirement. With about 13hrs to go I only needed another 100 drops so decided to grow the 8hr crop and threw all my resources into it - CAC, SG, SSG, White Innocence and Fruit Cake plus I have a Jack O'Gift that I keep just for times like this.

Glad to see a few others have also finished and good luck to those still trying to get across the line :inlove:
