Considering that we will manage to make 50k point from one game on average, 120 games will be needed for BB Tree.

Thanks for starting this thread, *WisdomTree*. ;)

I like the look of the mini game but the prizes (that I could achieve!) don't really excite me too much so I will skip this one. If there was another Wendigo pen up for grabs, I might have considered it but (somehow) I already have 18 Squidling lairs. :music:

Skipping events is becoming a habit! Yikes! Hey, where's the real illy gone, this is obviously a double! :wuerg:

Thanks WisdomTree, for your time and for starting the thread! I will be attempting to at least be able to play the 49 mini games to get the left side, and then will see where I am with the points! I really wonder just "How Doable" getting to the BB Tree really is:oops: but
the mini game looks like fun! We will see!:music:

Thank you WisdomTree for getting us started :)

I like that we are getting a new mini game :) I will do what I can and see what happens. Have real life appointment that I'm not sure how long will take so will miss the start of the event. Already beginning being in 'catch up' feeling.

Will aim for the BB tree but realistically will be thrilled if I can reach the Piccolo wonder box.

    Good luck!

I do like the CR. Not sure how far I can get. Will have to play a few games to see.

The purchase of a CR will probably be successful.:music:
Doubt how I can manage to get 90,000 points from the game to get that Grabby Treasure.o_O:wuerg:xD

Ok the game is really cute. Got over 23K on the second game. Very glad they give a couple of free pillows to get your head around it.

I haven't gotten past 4000 on the mini-games so far. I do like this type of game. Have several that use the same method of accumulation.

Good luck to all that participate!

I got 83k for my first game and 70k for my second. If I can keep this up I'll need 78 games to get the BB tree, which seems perfectly feasible with some bonuses/extra SG.
The FAQ is slightly misleading. It says the objective is to make the longest link possible, but given how points are awarded it's clear that the real objective is to enclose as many monsters as possible. Every monster in your chain and every enclosed monster is worth 10 points, but there's also a multiplication bonus. If you enclose N monsters the whole score is multiplied by N+1.

That means that if the whole 10 x 10 field was one colour of monster, if you made a chain of all of them without enclosing anything you would score 100 x 10 = 1000 points. But if you used only the edge ones to enclose the 81 central ones, you would score (100 x 10)x (81 + 1) = 82,000 points. It's clear chains are not really worth it and only loops will get you the big scores. Also, if there's a choice whether to include monsters in your chain or enclose them, choose enclosing them.

The bonus monsters you can win for a chain length over 5 are very powerful. Obviously for creating loops, but also for increasing the size of existing loops. In the example posted above by WisdomTree, there are 64 scoring monsters and 36 enclosed monsters, scoring 64x10x37 = 23,680 points. But if you had a bonus turquoise monster, and used it on the 4th monster from the left on the top row, you could expand the loop so that there were 67 scoring monsters and 41 enclosed monsters, giving 67x10x42 = 28,140 points. Well worth doing.

Out of 20 turns, you only need 2-3 big, high scoring loops to have a really good score. So don't be afraid to spend turns turning an almost-loop into a loop. Only the big loops will really affect your score.

The new mini game looks fun but they put the BB tree at an impossible score again, which made me sad. Well I hope everyone achieves their goal, good luck everyone.

So it's not the long chains I need? I can't seem to score more than around 4000. I have to encircle different colored monsters? I am so confused.

Edited to add: the dumbunny figured it out. Not so dumb at this now.

The highest I've gotten so far is 36K. But what can you do when there just isnt any circles to make? The last 2 games couldnt get past 3K. The biggest problem I am running into is using the touchpad on the laptop. Its just not big enough sometimes and I've been scrolling on the edge or hit the fingerprint reader indent, and oops, chain instead of loop. Still, I do like something different
