Nothing fancy here, but since no one else has posted, here's a summary:

Take note of the animals and crops you will need from your barn!

Finished day 4 mission. I am continuing the growing of sproting snowman crop as it is equired for the next daily mission (5th day mission) too.

 

Hello, fellow farmers. Yesterday, I celebrated my one year anniversary playing Farmerama, and one would think I'd learned something by now. Alas, maybe it's another year into my dotage which has left me confused. I regret to say I made a miscalculation when I harvested my long-grow overnight crop for day 5 drops.

I harvested before 7am which is when day 5 began for me. The early bird, obviously does not get the drop! Oh, well, I'll be more careful in the future, but now, I'm trying to figure out how to get enough snowballs to complete task 2/2 for day 5. I've enough snowmen. My first harvest of dentallaria yielded 9 snowballs and then I planted nettle and have an hour before I can harvest that.

Is there any buff which increases the chance of event drops? I have several which say they increase consumable items, then go on to mention salt, sugar, or floral wire, so I'm unsure if these help with event drops. Would appreciate any suggestions. Thanks very much.

 

You need to grow long hours crops or trees to get more drops. The higher the growing time the higher the drop rate. IF you don't have higher timed crops, you can go for trees which have growing time more than 20 hrs. Many normal trees have 20 hrs growing trees. Some special trees also have more than 20 hrs growing time.

Usually 1x1 plot gives more drops than 2x2 plots or 2x1 plots. So go for 1x1 plots. Trees also take 1x1 plot.

Which of the crops you have unlocked has highest growing time. Try refinements for the same in Greenhouse for the said crop in Farmhouse. I had refinements for hydrangea. So activating them with cloudrows for flowers and buffs that reduce growing time for mainland flowers with refinements for super grows and supergrows reduce the growing time to few hours. I have only one cloudrow for flowers. So instant growing of hydrangea or roses is not possible for me. But right now I finished refinements for crocus crop. It gives instant growth with supergrows & supergow buffs alone. So even if you don't have the cloudrows you can grow instant refined crocus for drops. It is 21 hrs flower crop.

 

Thank you for the info on refinements and CRs. I did not fully understand about refinements for long grow crops.
I also don't know much about CR except that recently some of the ones I have give me an almost daily level up!
I shall begin working on the refinements and start a new post asking about CR and how to get ones for flowers.
I did manage to complete Day 5 in time - woke before the birds and did a harvest and got enough snowballs to complete steps 2 and 3 of Day 5.

 

You are welcome. Just try refinements for Crocus first. After that I think you can go for hydrangea. They will be useful. Old cloud rows canot be got now. So keep an eye for new ones and those that are offered for sale.

I have managed to do it so far and hold great promise of finishing it! Wahoo! Not only that but my baby farms played and are in the same position - nothing from the Marin Wonder Stables but more chance than if I hadn't done the event!
