You can rest assured, all breedings will give out the drops on both weekends with drops. ;)

Thank you Nordais for doing the sums on this one. :)

I am in but I am going to wait to see how many knitted gloves I get through trees and crops. There is always a slim chance there will be a Happy Discount Day during the weekend event, you never know. :p
Anyway, whatever happens, I think I can finish with breeding in the last few hours if I need to. :music:
    Good luck everybody! :inlove:

Thank you @Nordais for the strategy thread and crunching the numbers. I am in.

If breeding gives out 2 drops, I'm expecting a really low drop rate from crops and trees... Getting the needed 495 Knited gloves and 595 Hot Cocoa from 3 fields sounds too easy...

First off: Thanks, Northy! For starting the strategy thread.

Secondly: overnight Amaranth. That's the only thing that's going to help with drops on the fields, and maybe amaranth with green goo during the day, too?

I wondered why they called this a "breeding event" in the preview calendar, then we didn't need colored animals to complete it. But, it's all okay...

Nice cloud row with a 23 hour cool down.

I'm in on the usual suspects.

My #1 issue is going to be December 14. I'll be at a show so unable to harvest most of that day. Going to have to use major amounts of green goo and propellers to get that section done before we leave for the show.

Edited to add: BABY BOOM and POWER FEED SALE run for TWO HOURS ONLY coinciding with the start of the event! For me (in Montana, MST), it starts at 2 a.m. and ends at 4 a.m.

    Choices are:
    #1 Set an alarm
#2 Don't bother going to bed
#3 Hope we have another one on Sunday that lasts longer than two hours.
    #4 Breed anyway
#5 Try to do this event without breeding.

2 Hour Baby boom and event start is also too early for me. 4 a.m.

#1. Nope, not setting an alarm.
#2. I am going to bed at bedtime. Chronic pain increases exponentially with lack of sleep, so I'm not skipping any zzz's.
#3 Yes, hoping for more Baby boom because I want to continue to work on those MM quests. I'm almost done with fireflies.
    #4 Nope.
#5 This is my favorite strategy. Let's see how first harvest goes with long crops and adjust accordingly.

Best wishes to all as this is a very busy time of year.

Thank you very much, Nordais, for the numbers and PM23 for the tips!
Fortunately, I'm an early bird and have the motel full, so i have to decide whether to use that or not. That's the difficult part xD I agree with you, sanddollar15, we've plenty of time to do it without breeding.

Hope drop rate be good and good luck everyone!

I am in with All three parts of this event, I will not need to fret or worry or get stressed to do any breeding at all, also no need to wait for happy discount day either as baby boom is only for 2 hours :wuerg: So scrooge has taking over Breeding Event :wuerg::wuerg:

Without doubt many of us will miss that window

My Power Feed Free strategy is get as many drops on all Three Fields , Then I will nuke refined crop instantly for Instant knitted gloves

I will used same strategy for Hot Cocoa in 3rd Part of this event ;):p

Thanks so much, Northy. I appreciate all the effort you put into making the charts. Also, all the helpful tips from neighbors. I hope the drops are bountiful as I don't want to use my stock of PF for breeding.

I shall give it a go and see how far I get. Will need to mark the calendar for the subsequent weeks!

    Good luck to all!

    Good thinking Mooboy! ;)

I always forget about my Greenhouse/Refinements and I have Carnations already set up. Even without Fruit Cake and White Innocence, they take about (edit)three hours with water, manure and SG! A couple of harvests might be enough but if not, Aramanth after should give me a good amount of Cookies and Knitted Gloves! :inlove:

268 Mittens with first morning harvest. Just over half needed. I can farm as normal and no additional strategy needed. Thanks BP for a nice weekend event. I was feeling a bit stressed yesterday with 3 event crops, Moonlight Mania, G/T, weekend quest needing drops, milling event items, breeding (or maybe not) etc. Just a lot to keep up with as everything has different times to be ready. Easy to miss something but so far, it is working out ok :)

I got 72 Knitted Gloves from my refined Carnations. I have nuked another field of them and added Fruit Cake and White Innocence which brings it down to 44 minutes! :inlove:
Total so far = 169, about a third of the way after just a few hours. :music:
Like Pups, I will farm normally and if a BB/PF/Happy Discount Day happens at the weekend, all the better. :D:D:D:D

Edit: I just saw what is lined up for the weekend! :wuerg:

I am sorry but I don't think I can spare the time to think too much about G&T, if something has to go, it has to be that one - takes too much time to find things and send them with everything else going on.

I did well with knitted gloves from Amaranth planted yesterday - 207 from Main and Meadow. None from my trees in the Glade, so I wonder if crops are the way to go. Yesterday, my Glade was full of critters and trees. As I harvested, I exchanged critters for long grow trees and this morning's Glade harvest of mostly trees gave not one glove! Collected another round of critters and replaced with plots with four critters remaining. Left trees in place and planted Alpine Asters on the plots in Glade, Main, and Meadow. Hope to get most/all remaining gloves later today. Have two Howies out and a third Howie was contributed to the Tree some time ago. Good luck, everyone!
