Carnival Extravaganza

I switched over to 1x1 fields. So far, I'm getting enough drops of the palettes to keep up.

 

Mine is about 39 large plots and the gaps filled with 1x1 squares and I also got 39 palettes from my last harvest

 

What event crop to grow now until the end of the event??!! We only get 1 Trident from completying porky's 4 orders, that means 1 mini game, but there's some crate o'buff in his throwing package. Fuzzles gives 2 bonus Rainbows after filling in his 4 orders, so that's 3 Rainbows in total to play 3 mini games...

 

For me, I am focusing on the lollies as we get more points for the customer orders and I want to get both cloud rows.

As of this morning's harvest I have 134/250 points. I missed a couple (maybe even 3??) of final donations of the day as I was too tired to stay up to do it or just forgot.

I've played 36 mini games so far.

IRL took the lead and I went along. The task was done at appropriate intervals, relaxed. However, to my surprise, the second row of clouds is now in use.

 

Yes, you are right. I didn't realized that at first (I was alternating between filling completely alll 4 orders between the 2 customers). I'm a little andry at the fact that the drop donation boxes are not at the same places for both customers, it's so easy to fill the wrong box! Also, the popup windows after donating come with a delay on my farm, I have to wait to do the next donation else it fills the top left box with event crops and I get screwed with harvests after...

 

I don't like this version of the event. I've tried for a few days, but without being able to use SG or crop bonuses it's too much work to grow enough required event crops. Plus the prizes the Queen throws out on her pass don't seem to be nearly as good as they were in past events. No wonder stables/trees, far less SG and no crates.

I'll keep growing them for the EP, but I'm not going to try to fill any more orders. I'd rather focus on the other event, since I stand a chance to actually finish it.

 

At this stage I have no idea if I will finish this event or not. I've made soooo many mistakes on all three of my farms and I keep changing my mind on strategies. I have lots of Candy Fish so using those every 7hrs to fill those orders in Fuzzles and I'm not too badly placed with Artist's Palettes so seem to be able to fill them in Proky's as well. Currently I'm growing half a field each of the Lollypops and Popper Peas each round and that seems to allow me to deliver to the rest of the orders every second re-set to get Rainbows and Tridents. But that's only if I don't make a mistake and deliver to early on one of them

Don´t forget to PLAY those "normal Carnival games" even those are NOT needed to get 2 CR´s and Piccolos. If I´m right it is totally same from where we play The Queen games, vagons are "nice" but no need to use... I can´t tell it better but don´t forget to play, all we get there is BONUS...

 

As pointed out by @puppiesnponies the lollies and Porky's orders give out more carnival points than Wholsey's, if you're looking to get ahead for the second cloud row.

 

Been away for a couple of days but still managed at least three harvests. I have no idea if in line for getting the second CR and the Piccolo Box - I have 155/250 so far. What do you think fellow farmers?

I'm still working on the event too. I have missed some event time due to a family emergency but with 56 hours remaining, I should be ok.

I grow both on big fields. Mainly Lollies, but occasionally also peas. My method is always to fill all 4 orders of second customers and drop-slots of first customer. If I have enough to fill all 4 orders of first customer, I do that also to get all rainbows.
I think I'll get piccolo boxes tonight, when there will be new orders after 7 hours.

 

Thanks, I will keep plugging on, not any real strategy but trying the fill those orders when I can, trying to get all four for the Porky one to get those points! Sometimes my fields are empty but with seven hour turn around, I need to fill as many orders as I can!

Edit: Is it my imagination or is Queenie being a bit more generous, not by much but a little. More PF (even though I didn't see it) and the occasional CAC. It would be nice if she dropped some Rainbows or Tridents though!

 

The dropped items when using a trident ARE BETTER than the dropped items from the rainbows.

I am particularly happy with the drops from the trident float. Sewinglady's farm is overjoyed to have received several crates of buffs!

Okay, so with this morning's harvest, this farm and sewinglady's have the final cloud row. Now we just have to get the piccolo box and use up the last tokens to get the goodies from the floats.

I was getting up in the night - so 4 harvests a day. Well, until we "sprang forward". So last two nights, I couldn't seem to drag myself down to the computer in the middle of the night. But, by then, I figured I could still get to the finish line even if I only harvested 3 times a day. Still growing the second plant the lollipop one. I donate the fish on the top one and do all 4 on the bottom one. I figure I'll have the piccolo box by the end of today or tomorrow morning at the latest.

 

According to my calculations and my sleep pattern, and since I wake up at least once a night anyway, I'll probably get it all done (also Piccolos) now that I have 195 points and no crops to catch up on, with 500++ in stock and all fields being cultivated with Lolly Poppy.

Let me motivate you to get it anyway if you are trailing.

It requires 3 givers that are worth 70,000 EP points per day without buffs. With the right buffs that can incrementally increase to well over a million per day by itself. So why is this cloudrow worth getting giving out 3 mill EP ever 2 days?

Well you also get a crate O' Kung Fu Tiger which gives a chance to win a picolo box.

Might not sound like a great deal but collect 150 of them in a year and I'm sure there be more than a couple of free picolo boxes in the lot.

 

Finished this morning and will continue to fill Fuzzy's + orders and grow lollies for Porky to earn some goodies when filling orders. Thanks again, everyone for sharing strategies. Drops for me were good as I planted long-grow overnight. Wish everyone success.

 

Thanks so much Nordais and puppiesnponies, I do know this but I'm just being greedy trying to also get as many tickets to the carnival as I can (I love chasing the float). With a day and a half left I'm close to the cloud row, will just have to see if I need to change strategy for the piccolo boxes.

This is not the first cloud row that gives out Crate O'Kung Fu Tiger and there's no need to wait that long to get a Piccolo Box. I usually open mine when I have 40-50 crates or event just 30 and I do get Picollo Boxes!
