It's up to you to decide. Prizes and steps are set for spending stamina/energy. That can be done by taking out pairs of tiles, opening special gift tiles from your backpack. To change boards you need to find the tile with the drawing of a rope, get some ropes from the Star Coin Shop to use it. If you look at the video from Camomile*'s posts you can have a good idea as to how to play. The only thing I know is that it's important to upgrade the backpack to the max at some point. So my first goal will be to do that. I might try to get to the all the bonus tiles on the board and than move on to the next. Using the dynamite and the shovel will remove tiles and make it impossible to make pairs with all tiles on that board like a real mahjong game would work.

Thank you flower, I just took the day, my aunt was transfered into a physical rehabilitation unit but she still needs a lot of help (laundry and all personal affairs, etc). I just hope to be able to get the two cloud rows. I'll be quite content with just that...

 

I am a bit confused...

One of the tasks is to clear the level and I chose to do the first one but got down to unable to make the final match as the icons on the remaining 2 pieces were not the same

One of the tasks is to go to the next level by clearing only 10 pieces....is this 10 matches? 5 matches using 10 tiles? Any tile including the gift bow of only 10?

I have had so much coffee that I am wired but somehow still exhausted with no stamina

 

Honestly, I'm not thrilled with the mechanics of this event. And we get to do this for TWO WEEKS? Whee.

 

to the STUFF - can we mix some amount of 8h plant, some other amount 4h plant and also 2h plant?

or is it must to do all different amounts of plants all 2,4 and 8 hours ?

I'm absolutely sure you're getting both clouds because i already got the first one.
It took me a while to understand that backpack, missions and progress are different things, and that we had to plant that ob scene number of plants twice

When i figured that out, i gave up collecting rewards from the boards: each bow means -5 stamina, and most of rewards aren't worthy being kept (-25 stamina). The only interesting ones are the strong coffee and the rope.

As for the missions, just pairing tiles (which is the fun part), it was possible to complete 10 out of the 17 (first cave). The prizes for completing them are not to die for

Right now, i'm only planting the 2h crop for the next cave, which brings a rather more interesting cloud row.
As for the rewards, it should have a way of dismissing uninteresting ones from the backpack
Hope i have the time and pacience to grow the next gigantic number of plants required

 

Dear Diary: Day two. I'm still stuck in the caves. Why am I here? I don't remember doing anything so awful that I deserve this punishment. I bought candy to give the little gremlins that ring the doorbell. Okay, it's not chocolate this year. Is that it? No Reeses peanut butter cups for the gremlins, so I'm in purgatory?

 

I encountered another level that I was not able to clear due to mismatched tiles. There were 5 left and all had a different icon. That doesn't happen in normal Mahjong as there should be an equal number of tiles that can be matched.

I have used too much stamina to keep trying to finish that particular mission requirement. Perhaps I should have used more shovels?

I was able to get 5 star coins twice (gift that went to backpack) which I used to buy coffee (stamina) but otherwise the prizes were ok but not anything that would make me continue to play beyond the 1950 stamina needed for this first part.

It does make me think the gear coins are going to be hard to get for the next part which will be disappointing because I really like the upper level breeding animals as rewards

You can choose to grow any of the plants to exchange for star coins to buy event items in the shop. Do whatever suits you best

 

Anyone know if this is correct? I don't see reference to it in the FAQ. I haven't even started the minigame yet because I'm still racking up event plants. Is it not worth it to do that? Thanks if anyone knows.

 

I think that part of the event isn't available until next Thursday. So my plan is to do as much as I can on the available part and grow as many of the 8 hour crop as I can manage and keep it in the barn until the second half becomes available late next week.

 

You can only exchange one event crop at a time for 10 Star Coins, no mixing of event crops is possible.

There are prizes awarded for reaching certain goals (X pairs of tiles played, upgrading the backpack, etc) for each of the two rooms for the mini game (week 1 Shimmershroom Cave and week 2 Emerald Grotto). Of course the ones linked to the Emerald Grotto will be available only next week.

Thanks for all the advice from all farmers doing event. I've never played Mahjong...and this seems like a complicated multistep process.
BP seems to moving toward 2 week more difficult events. I appreciate trying to change things up....it's the 2 weeks that I don't like.

Just growing crops and will attempt mini games this weekend.

I don't get it. I tried the minigame, I was out of stamina, then I bought coffee. But it did nothing, I'm still out of stamina?

 

You need to tap on the Coffee icon on right hand side and it will fill your "staminometer" above it.

How do you empty your back pack? I want to collect the items in it but cannot figure it out. I have a cup of coffee in it and other stuff, and many flowers ready to be collected.

 

Right underneath the backpack, click the green collect button.

 

when I press collect button, I am taken to the shop. The coffee, tropical EP, CC and lucky coins, stay there and my back pack remains full. I tried many times before asking. So I am at a lost.
I try to press on flower, they say I do not have any slot.... I am lost.
