The event is marked as hard for a good reason, the cloud row is quite a powerful one:

    Requires the two event items

    Numbers depending on your objectives:

Only with Hot Cocoa (Max)Only with S'more (Sheldon)

    1700 Chocolate Bares
    50 S'more + 12m 30s of milling time

To complete the event, players must make 113 feedings:

Option 1: just using Hot CocoaOption 2: using S'more + 1 Hot Cocoa
    37064 Marsmallow Bushes
    1921 Chocolate Bars
    113 Hot Cocoa

    Thank you, Northy. :)
I'm not sure if I'm participating yet, still burnt out from the last one. If this was on the event field and if the +1 revenue on the CR applied to all crops, not just mainland "other" crops, I'd definitely participate. I just got everything put back right on my main field and green meadow so I might pass. Not 100% sure yet. Good luck to everyone participating.

Well this is gonna be a really fun weekend! I hope no one is colorblind. I'm serious.

The drop item for the upcoming weekend quest is a RED cup of cocoa. Dropping on the main field and the green meadow.

The MILLED item for feeding the spawning character "Max" is a BLUE cup of cocoa.

Now, I don't think they will be that "confusable" - because one is a drop and one is a mill item, but I did want to point that out, just in case anyone else's alter ego is also a "dumbunny."

Anyway, Northy, thanks for starting the strategy thread!

My strategy, given that the red cups of cocoa will drop from the same two fields that we will be planting with the 4 hour event crop is as follows: Plant amaranth right now to harvest tomorrow, to maximize drops for THIS event. Tomorrow - grow the event crop until after dinner (remember I'm in MST so that's around 2 a.m. in Germany - subtract accordingly to your time zone if you wish to do this, too). At that point in time, I will put in Amaranth again. I'll use all the buffs I can for mainland grains OR green goo - depends on what I have in my gold and silver slots (honestly, I'm pretty sure I'll need to use green goo). In the morning, after the weekend quest has started, I'll harvest the amaranth and return to harvesting the 4 hour event crop. I will likely also leave a lot of the trees I have planted around the edges of those two fields (for multiple reasons, including drops for both events).

Additionally, depending upon how the drops go for the weekend event, I may decide to plant overnight crops Friday and Saturday - possibly on one or both fields. But, probably not amaranth again.

Now y'all know what I know. Which is not much, and more seeps out than goes in every day. And with this post, I'm off to prep my farms and then steel myself for an afternoon of Christmas shopping with my MIL. My husband is likely going to drive us. He says taking the two of us (his wife and his mother) shopping is like herding cats. Um, yes. Yes it is.

It is possible to herd cats! I had two well trained to head for the laundry room at the end of the day. With a little encouragement from me. But keep in mind, more than two might make it impossible. xD

Thanks Nordais for your excellent layout of the event.
I'm not sure why BP listed it as "hard". The Norse Saga event was beyond hard! I looked up the definition of saga. One said tedious....which it certainly was! :wuerg:-.- This event seems much easier and straight forward.
    Good luck to all!;)

Thanks Nordais, nice to see you posting again and I hope all is well!
My plan is to do Option 1 and mill the 113 Hot Cocoa to feed ONLY max on the days he is available!:music: It is only a 4 hour crop plantable on 2 lands, so I will see how that works for me! Good luck everyone

This amount of event crop is almost impossible for newer players that do not have super-grow trees/reserves and other boosters. Yet, it would be advantageous in the longrun to get this cloud row. That's what I'm aiming for but I'm not sure the baby farm will make it! xD

Hey, Northy, also happy to see you posting again and your lovely charts! My mind is so taken up with family that I've no spare grey cell to devote to anything more than the bare necessities game-wise, so this event is a skip for me. I wish everyone success and the very best of all good things as we quickly approach the end of this year and the beginning of a new one

Edit: Decided to do what I can...all our kids are gamers and understand. When they pop out for their activities, I can pop in here! :D

There was NO herding of cats. My husband promised that if I did this on my own (took MIL Christmas shopping), that he would clean the house while I was gone. After I nearly fainted from that statement, I took him up on the offer and I took my MIL to two large very well-known retail stores. I think he got the easier job.

I double-checked and yes, the cloud row is very much a "must have" especially for newer farmers who have NO access to Melon Magic (like this farm). I really wish Melon Magics were giftable to neighbors.

I did something a little odd with the last weekend quest (where we had to grow the heart crop). I started with the few that BP gives us in 2x2 plots. Then, when I got enough to switch to 1x1 plots, I didn't get rid of the 2x2s - I just left them there and used a "some and some" approach - and it worked. So maybe that's an option for farmers in short supply of supergrow, etc.?

Thanks, Northy/Nordais, for starting this thread. I am in for this one, thanks to the event on the event playfield, I think I have saved enough SG and SSG to make it a bit faster. I have Aramanth (no boosters) in for the Taste the Season event. I will probably put event crops in CFs overnight - may not even need SG, I shall check before I nuke the crops - and then refined Aramanth in the morning (think that takes between 2 to 4 hours), and back to event crops after that. What I do after that will depend on how the drops go. :music:

PM, I sometimes do that if I haven't got a good supply of green goo, gets the crops a bit faster. There is also the option of CFs especially for overnight. :p
    Good luck all! :inlove:

If you haven't finished breeding badges for next weekend quest, you get two of the drops for this weekend with each breeding. That way maybe you can still continue to grow marshmallows and get enough of the other drops.

oops, so "powerful" to me, that

I wasn't interested in doing some early cultivation in the evening rush and just ran away:

After all the interest, I woke up the local ika at 01.30 in the morning and then my over 2100-day login streak was broken.

I think this is an event that is done completely in the dark, those plants are not entered into the Agricultural Society's series "one at a time" so bonus "+" = is nothing.. (EP bonus 1 488 000, smile, just get pets+givers+cr about 9 billion points, not so the necessary addition will bring the score)

I complain about my negative attitude, but that's how it happened, what with the "every day logging in like that", it seems that 2238 is the exact reading, so

    6 x 365 = 2190 days
48 days plus, apparently, or 1 month
    and 18 days.

TOTAL: 6 years 1 month and 18 days, was the interest in this event at the beginning...

however, this will probably be finished, usually more than 1 year of extra time is left, 37000++ plants is a lot, without bonuses (CAC is my "normal") 38 collecting times but two areas, only 19 collecting times...

(Translator used from FIN to ENG, something is maybe not correct!!!)

    Then it's "not-playing-that-seriously"

when now in 35 minutes, SMALL fields yield 13 pieces,

got a little spin with luck, the night goes by comfortably, bonuses end at 1:45 PM local time,

now 10,250 plants IN STOCK / BARN, or almost 1/3... me and my big mouth :)

    edit2:
GREED - that's how it hit...

    Diamond place +100%

    Gold place Crops +100%
    3 x crops +1 / 6h
    2 x Jack O'gift

I suddenly calculate that now I'll hide the fields for 52min again and then I'll have time to use that +3 also on COMFORT fields, which ESPECIALLY the bonuses from Diamond and Gold places (over 26 hours then...) make a "shockingly good addition"

Thanks to the ADDITIONAL AREA event for 2 weeks,
I had accumulated a modest 3500 Super Grow...

    edit3:
incredible, after writing that "edit2" there were 23 Party Tickets, I thought I'd use up to 20:

    SECOND Harvest bonus 100%

--->>> I sound like an idiot who can't stop or skip events. <<<---

But when the truth is IN THE VIRTUAL WORLD that

"you can't use these in real life - SO IT'S A WASTE,
so damn fast" - so bonuses!

Be careful what you wish for lol! :music:

I just hit on one of those weird coincidences - my refined Aramanth was immediate! I did a couple of harvests and have enough drops for this event but not enough SG to keep going so plan was to grow the event crop and then do another couple of fields of Aramanth to get the weekend drops! :p
Then read that the drops for the weekend will be coming from Baha and Rainforest!

Oh well, them's the breaks - should have come here first, I just planted a long term crop that won't be ready till tomorrow morning! :wuerg:

    EDIT

    Howdy Farmers,

Due to negative comments regarding last minute changes to drops for Quest 3, they will now drop on the original fields (main field & green meadow). I am sorry for the last minute notice.

    Best Regards,
    Your Farmerama Team

    ROFL! xD

Help! Kids are out and I sat down to read through comments. Can someone please let me know if we start milling cocoa, then we need to continue with Max and forget Shelden. It appears the two critters don't overlap in the advancement towards the CRs? Each is their separate path and now that I've milled three cocoas, I'm stuck with Max. If I begin milling S'mores for Shelden, I'll have wasted the extra cocoas and then be far behind on both sides? Seems if that's the case, this should have been two separate events rather than one with skipped days. What's with all the twists and turns with recent events?
